Meng Bai's voice had startled the beasts and the birds; thus, there was no way Lin Mu, who was located right near him, wouldn't know about it.
He left the jade slip on the table and rushed out, only to see a frantic Meng Bai running while shouting nonstop.
"Help! Help!" he shouted, not even realizing Lin Mu was behind him.
And while running, he stumbled over a small rock before falling to the ground.

"Hel-p…" he fell to the ground, hitting his head and passing out instantly.
Normally, as a Peak Core Condensation realm expert, he wouldn't be injured from such a fall, even if he had hit his head, but perhaps it was the mixture of fear and anxiety over the situation that had overwhelmed his senses and mind.
He could no longer endure it and finally passed out at the slightest knock.
Lin Mu glanced at the unconscious Meng Bai and then at the confused-looking Little Shrubby, who was in his large form.
Looking at the two, he quickly figured out what must have happened.
"Sigh! Little Shrubby, look what you did…" Lin Mu shook his head.
"I didn't think he would get that scared," Little Shrubby said honestly. "He's really weak; he fainted so easily. He couldn't even run fast enough," he pointed out.
"Well… that's true," Lin Mu couldn't fault that.
Meng Bai was a bit too weak by the standard of his group now. Even the weakest among them was Ashy, who was at the Dao Treading Realm and still had her abilities that made her stand out.
And while she couldn't match the speed of her beast siblings, she was still faster than most other beasts due to her size.
In all this, though, neither Lin Mu nor Little Shrubby realized how strange their standards were.
Perhaps it was because Lin Mu had been with other people of high standards or of exceptional qualities so far, that he had a hard time realizing it, but what happened to Meng Bai was very ordinary.
In fact, it was something any normal person would go through if they encountered a beast that was bigger than any mortal elephant and had a ferocious aura that could make an entire army kneel.
Then there was the fact that the same beast was standing right in front of him as soon as he opened his eyes and had not sensed it at all. Something like this was very easily going to stir fear into one's soul.
But what's done was done. All Lin Mu could do now was make sure something like this was avoided in the future.
"I suppose he'll get used to it over time," Lin Mu muttered to himself and picked up Meng Bai, who was face down in the dirt.
He turned him over and placed his hands on his Dantian and his heart.

Then he infused some Spirit Qi and a bit of vitality into the man's body. The amount was small for Lin Mu, as he didn't even have Spirit Qi in his body anymore; he had actually absorbed it from the air instantly for this task.
But that small amount was enough to send a tsunami through Meng Bai's Dantian and directly doubled his Qi stores!
"Huh?" It was now that he got a proper look at the boy's Dantian.
Since the man was at the Peak of the Core Condensation realm, all his Spirit Qi had already been turned into the solid core, and thus most of his Dantian had been empty before. But Lin Mu's infusion of Spirit Qi had filled it back again, causing the core to be fully submerged into it.

The core seemingly stirred into action as soon as the excess Spirit Qi appeared in the Dantian. This Spirit Qi was incredibly pure, and the core drank it all up as if it were a thirsty camel reaching an oasis.
Lin Mu watched as the core began to change its color. Previously, it was an off-white color, having contained several impurities. After all, while Meng Bai had managed to reach this far on his own, he still didn't get the best resources for it.
Thus, he had also absorbed a lot of impurities. These also came in the form of normal food that he ate, which was not cleansed out by Toxin Purging pills.
These were still accumulated in his body and thus hampering him on some level.
But with the extremely pure Qi, his core automatically began to clear the impurities out as its color began to change. From an off-white, it turned into an alabaster white, then creamy white, and finally pure white.
At that point, the number of impurities in it was very low, but Lin Mu knew this could go even further.
'May as well take the chance for this opportunity,' Lin Mu thought to himself and used his hands to guide out the impurities from Meng Bai's body.
He used a combination of his Vital Energy as well as his Qi to do this. He first injected Water Elemental Spirit Qi and used it to flush out the impurities on the surface of the core as much as he could.
He then isolated them into a corner of his Dantian before using Earth Elemental Spirit Qi to clump them all up in a single chunk. Fire Elemental Spirit Qi was injected next, and it went directly to the corner of the Dantian before consuming all the impurities and burning them away into nothingness.
Finally, Lin Mu injected several streams of Vital Energy, which healed any minor injuries that were caused due to this and repaired the Dantian.
But his work was not done yet.
Lin Mu scanned the man's Meridians and found them to be narrow or clogged in some parts as well.
He repeated the same process with them as well, and about an hour later, he had purged Meng Bai's Meridians and Dantian of all impurities, elevating his talent to an entirely different level.
