Gu Jiao thought for a moment before responding, “Isn’t it because the destinations are different? For instance, the one going to the first beacon camp would have the only secret letter for that location.”
“That would make the word ‘only’ unnecessary.” Xiao Heng boldly analyzed, “I think ‘only’ means you must destroy the secret letters held by the other two spies, turning your secret letter into the ‘only’ one.”
As he spoke, he opened another note belonging to a cavalryman. “In the cavalryman’s task, there’s a mention of ‘the other party.’ Since the secret letter in the enemy camp is fake, ‘the other party’ must refer to the three spies.”
