Chapter 1624 Moving the Prisoners

Chapter 1624 1624. Moving the Prisoners

In the basement inside World Maker’s headquarters, World Throne, Leavemealone, Jeanny, and Red Death were still inside their jails. Leavemealone and Jeanny were training their mana manipulation. Red Death just sat with an annoyed expression. She didn’t understand why the two still had the mood to train under their current situation.

It was Leavemealone who started doing it. After a while, Jeanny decided to practice too since there was nothing else they could do. The runic ropes still bound them. They couldn’t practice either their martial arts or perform game skills.

“Do you two know how many days it has been?” Jeanny asked. She had just finished her training session. She needed rest.

Red Death ignored the question. She was still irritated by the whole situation.

“Twenty days,” Leavemealone answered without stopping his training. His eyes remained closed.

“So long already… I wonder what happens outside,” Jeanny muttered. “I’m sure help will arrive. Our friends will come to free us. We just have to prepare for it.”

“Save your optimism to yourself,” Red Death said. “We are deep inside enemy territory. They will have to beat Hydrurond or Aurebor first before they can come here. Sending a small infiltrative force is just suicide.”

“I never said help would be soon, but it will come! I’m sure of it,” Jeanny said. Her tone expressed her confidence.

“Hmph,” Red Death decided to stop conversing. She hated this kind of delusional people the most.

“Quit your yapping! You are disturbing my nap,” the rare elite ethereal guard shouted. The two guards that Master appointed took turns in watching these prisoners. One was here from noon until midnight. The other one stayed from midnight until noon. So, there was always someone watching the prisoners.

“Nap…? You are guarding them while napping?” A voice was heard. The guard immediately stood up anxiously after hearing the voice.

Master was seen walking down the stairs to the basement. Jeanny and the others turned to him with hostile expressions. Even Leavemealone stopped his training.

“My–My Lord…! Forgive me! I was joking. Of course, I am wide awake. I’m just saying it to make them stop making noises!” The guard hastily gave an excuse.

“We will talk about this later,” Master waved at him. He walked to the front of Jeanny’s cell. He watched the three with a slight smile.

“How is your stay?” He asked.

“Stop your patronizing. What do you want?” Jeanny asked.

Master didn’t answer her. He instead turned to the guard. “I’ll be taking them. I’m moving them somewhere else. Open their cells.”

“Ri–Right away, my lord,” The guard uttered. He hurriedly came to the cell. He was just about to insert the key into the cell’s keyhole before he stopped. “Oh… right. I almost forgot. My Lord, what is the password?”

Master gave the guard a hard stare. That made the guard uncomfortable. “My… My Lord, didn’t you tell us that even if it’s you who came, you still have to give us the password before we hand these prisoners to you?”

Master didn’t respond. He continued to stare for some while before making a long sigh. “That guy is truly vigilant. I’m sorry about this.”

While the guard was still trying to make sense of Master’s words, a spear suddenly appeared in Master’s hand. Before the guard could react, this spear accurately hit the guard’s wrist that was holding the key. The guard yelped in pain and lost grip on the key. The spear had targeted the acupuncture point in the wrist.

The spear didn’t stop. It rapidly stabbed three more times. These stabs forced the guard back.

“Se–Seven Spears Assaulting Heaven…?!” Jeanny exclaimed in bewilderment. Since when did Master use a spear? Not to mention execute a martial art.

Master deftly picked the key up and used it to unlock the cell’s door. Once it was opened, he rushed in. Jeanny stepped back upon his approach.

“Don’t move!” Master shouted.

The spear in his hand was replaced by a dagger. He made a quick slash. Jeanny found the rope that was binding her had been sliced. Master shoved the cell key to her while she was still uncertain of what was happening.

“Free the others!” Master exclaimed. He then ran back out.

The guard outside had recovered from his surprise. He was still puzzled by the entire ordeal, but he knew he couldn’t stay still. He ran to the side wall and pressed a spot in the wall.

“There is no use, I’ve deactivated the alarm!” Master exclaimed. The dagger was again replaced. His hands now held two longswords. The two swords danced around with flowing grace, causing the still-confused guard to be unable to fight back.

“Fo… Formless Flowing Sword Style…?” Jeanny was again hit by surprise after seeing the sword art Master used.

She didn’t stay still, though. Whatever was happening, this was the perfect opportunity for them to escape. She wasn’t going to waste it. She was already working the key on Leavemealone’s cell door. When it was opened, her spear appeared in her hand. A quick thrust and Leavemealone’s binding was unraveled. She went to Red Death’s cell next.

Leavemealone came out and joined Master in pounding the guard.

“You are not Master…,” Leavemealone said.

“Great deduction, genius,” Master replied. “I need to keep this face on to give us a smooth pass out of here, but we need to take this guard out first. Can’t let him warn the others.”

Jeanny came out from the cell with Red Death. The two joined Master and Leavemealone. The guard already had difficulty facing two opponents. With the addition of Jeanny and Red Death, the guard had even more trouble in retaliating.

“Who are you?” Jeanny asked.

“We can talk once we are out of here,” Master returned.

Despite being a Level 80 rare elite with high HP, the guard couldn’t last long against four experts. He fell in no time.

“Now, everyone should listen to me. These are four ropes. They are just normal ropes. You have to pretend you are still bound and follow me out. We are already in combat mode. We need to flee this place before we can use guild or town return scrolls.”

“Tell us who you are! I’m not going to blindly follow a stranger,” Red Death demanded.

“Sister, I just break your ass out of jail. Can’t you… Oh, crap!”

Master stopped speaking when he saw a rectangular plate float out of the guard’s dead body. It was shining a bright glow.

“We have to get out of here. NOW…!!!” Master exclaimed.
