Chapter 2087: Numbers Do Not Win

Chapter 2087: Numbers Do Not Win

"That was rather cool in all honesty!" Jin said as he now rushed in and enacted the very same Maqi performance he did when he fought against Captain Hei. However, this time, there was no holding back at all.

The Panda Silhouette that emerged from him was twice the size of the High Orc Chieftain and the details were so minute that one would think that the silhouette was real, considering how even the 'fur' was animated.

And it seems like Mr Hammer's magic attack was not done. The magical Bamboo stakes that had been bloodied did not stop piercing the High Orc Chieftain, they also started to bind it along with the golden chains that Commando Mage No. 06 had utilised previously in the battle.

The Panda Silhouette then used its entire body to literally crush the High Orc Chieftain, causing him to be squashed. One would think that it was merely falling with the Panda Silhouette's supposed 'mass' and size to defeat the High Orc Chieftain but no.

The Maqi that had been imbued within the Panda Silhouette had caused to the body slam to hit at a high speed velocity, causing muscle mass to splat out the moment it impacted the High Orc Chieftain.

And because of its size, the Dune Shell Orcs who were around the area had also been killed as collateral. Jin at that point in time nearly fainted from the extensive use of Maqi in one go. Perhaps after hearing the theory of his magic and chi clashing together to output, there might be some truth to it after all.

However, it was also because prior to the invasion of the Northern portion of the Bamboo Fortress, he had been using time compression magic as well as improvised smithing to ensure the Bamboo God Tree was growing at a fast pace.

When he learned that the Bamboo God Tree was similar to a Yggdrasil Tree, he did not hesitate to make sure to fully make use of its powers to provide a safe haven for the Pandarians in the area.

Commando Mage No.6 was able to catch Jin before he fell to the ground and Gara laughed. "Looks like you might have somebody who does not wish only to guard you."

"Please. I have a girlfriend in the other world, if No.6 really does like me, I have no choice but to reject her." Jin said so openly that it might have made the situation awkward for No. 6, but to the contrary, she spoke out with a tinge of nonchalance.

"I too already have a husband waiting for me back in Ress. I am merely doing my job. General Gara, I hope you are able to keep the comments to yourself." No. 6 said and Gara apologised on the spot without hesitation.

"Apologies. I did not know that my passing remarks have caused distress to you and the King. So in recompense. Let me clear this horde for you." Gara replied and it felt as if he was purposefully doing this just to have an excuse to unleash his abilities against the Demon Orc Horde.

"Gosh, do I have another Kraft in training within my midst now as well?" Jin said as he thanked No. 6 for her assistance and also apologised for being incompetent.

"What nonsense. Your Majesty had shown powers that we Commando Mages are not able to fully replicate. It might take years, decades or maybe we are not able to perform such a feat in our entire lives." She said as she casually killed a few Dune Shell Orcs with a blast of her rifle.

Soon, the rest of the Commando Mages were also converging towards Jin and they protected him as Gara told everyone that he was going to take the lead. At that point in time, Jin had tossed Mr Hammer to Gara.

(With Mr Hammer's permission as well) Even without improvised smithing, it seems like Mr Hammer had some connection with the Bamboo God Tree which enabled Gara to work the magics of the God Tree as long as he held onto Mr Hammer as a proxy.

It did not take long for Gara to master the powers of the God Tree Creation just as how Jin was able to do so despite the fact that this was the first encounter he had with such a powerful artefact in his hands.

Bamboo Spikes emerged within a wide radius around Gara, immobilising the Dune Shell Orc Army allowing the remaining living Bamboo Panda Statues, the Rifle Mages as well as the Pandarian Defenders to press on and route the remaining Orcs in the area.

Those bamboo stakes and spikes eventually mutate into living Bamboo Statues and they supplemented the numbers needed to fight toe to toe with the Dune Shell Orcs. The army should be thankful that all they saw were Dune Shell Orcs and there were no Elite Hell Orcs among them.

Gara also used the powers of Mr Hammer to further manipulate the shape of the Bamboo Fortress, enabling more cannons and ballistae to 'grow' out from the walls as they shoot the never retreating Dune Shell Orcs to their death.

It might sound easy but the battle stretched throughout the night with Gara ensuring that tactical strength and rotation of teams were on par to continuously pressure the Dune Shell Orcs.

It was to the point where Jin was able to recuperate and understand the situation the Bamboo Fortress was in. The King of Ress found out that the Star Foxes were able to keep the situation under control due to an unknown huge ass power that the Royal Advisor had provided. Your next read awaits at

When Jin probed the messenger for more details, all the messenger could say was that if he spoke anything about that, Kraft would make sure that he would never live to see another day.

However, the messenger did say that the Star Foxes were casting forbidden spells which would have branded them more than just traitors of Ress. They might have incurred the wrath of the world, making Ress a prime target for the type of spells they used. Jin could only sigh and thank the stars that for this particular portal mission, he did not show it off through the public's magic eye.

Otherwise, there would be a lot of answering to do which the King might not even be able to answer. Even though, he was the King, the fact that he needed to ensure the public sentiments were aligned with his goals. Perhaps, he could subsequently allow the use of the forbidden magic but the problem was that those people were supposed to be citizens who had been reformed.

The fact that they used those forbidden magic would be a pain in the ass to explained to the public.

Still, he was relieved to survive this even though his original objective was to get a bunch of Orcs to fight for him and not to kill a shit ton of orcs wasting all the resources he had built up for the demon invasion. "Welp, if this was a business event, it sure is wasteful.

I can only hope that the System is able to give some decent reward for this," he complained out loud as he could sense the end of the battles was nigh high.
