Chapter 2086: CM-06

Chapter 2086: CM-06

With the King decidedly entering the fray, General Gara had attempted to coordinate the already messy battlefield to ensure that Jin would reach his target without much problem. The commando mage, who was tasked to protect him, CM-06 had decidedly put her life on the line to ensure that Jin was able to keep Jin at his tip top condition before meeting the High Orc Chieftain.

She literally blasted a line of Dune Shell Orcs away the moment he arrived on the battlefield and continuously did so as the line she cleared had been 'repopulated' once more. The consistent blast of magic actually made CM-06 a target and even the High Orc Chieftain had been attracted by her prowess.

It did not take much time for the High Orc Chieftain to counterattack and considering how his Dune Shell Orcs were light skin and their armour was more the blizzard dunes, it was not surprising that it used fire as its primary mode of attack.

This quickly decimated the Mechas that had been harassing it and subsequently attacked CM-06 with Jin behind her. Yet, she showed her capabilities by extensively defending the fiery attacks as she shot out ice shots with equivalent power against the fiery bolts that the High Orc Chieftain had produced.

Even the other Commando Mages who saw it were taken aback by the immense defensive and offensive capabilities of CM-06 and they internally talked, asking when CM-06 was able to get this strong.

This was because the rest had performed a quick skirmish prior to their King's arrival and the fireballs that this High Orc Chieftain had conjured without chanting were dangerously strong and there was no way they could counter it on the spot unless they prepared beforehand. After all, it was mainly due to the fact that the Commando Mages were ranked apart from it.

Hence, to see CM-06 able to do so made the others wonder if the King had cast any spells or reinforcements to make her this capable. "Eh, you do know that CM-06 and I are still in the 'chat', right?" Jin smiled as he was satisfied by CM-06's ability to defend him. "In any case, I will tell you what she did."

Jin told them that CM-06 actually had the most amount of mana compared to all the Commando Mages combined. And that fact was kept hidden by most except for Jin and Gara. "It was a sort of ace in my sleeve kind of situation once I realised her ability was due to the fact that she was able to tap into the universal mana pool rather than just her surroundings and her mana circuits."

"But we all are able to tap into the universal mana pool." CM-07 retorted and CM-06 smiled quietly as she continuously shot at the High Orc Chieftain while maintaining her defensive position so that she could protect Jin until he reached the range of the High Orc Chieftain. Also, because of how invested in the explanation, the Commando Mages came together to ensure that Jin was able to finish his hidden secret while protecting him.

"What you all tap into is indeed the universal mana pool but you all merely 'tap' onto it. She literally dived into it."

"She is blessed by Mana herself?" CM-03 queried and CM-06 replied with a rather soft yes within the channels despite all the shouting, explosions and death screams all around them. That was where the Commando Mages finally understood why she was able to temporarily go toe to toe with the High Orc Chieftains until it got fed up.

The Chieftain immediately decided that the way to finish this possible threat was to engage her in close combat. Thus, he charged forth, disregarding the Dune Shell Orcs who did not care to see what was behind them, killing those Dune Shell Orcs in the process.

It was at that point that CM-06 performed her last guard duty before allowing Her Majesty to enter the fray. She took her Wand Rifle up and loaded in five bullets all at once. Yet, instead of shooting directly at the High Orc Chieftain, she shot above, beside, and under him.

At that point, golden magical chains emerged from the places she shot as small back holes appeared in mid space, enabling her to hold onto the High Orc Chieftain for a moment. A large electrical charge was also discharged and it instantly took the High Orc Chieftain by surprise as well as the surrounding Dune Shell Orcs who had been indirectly affected by the backlash of the electrical shock.

Jin immediately switched places with her and he took Mr Hammer out, hoping that he was able to do something to even out the situation. After all, as mighty as Jin could have been, there was no way he was able to fight a Rank EX which had its tier blurred out just as how Kraft had seen it.

As Jin threw Mr Hammer towards the High Orc Chieftain, the hammer instantly turned larger. Large enough that it was twice the size of the High Orc Chieftain, causing the Chieftain to not just be knocked back but also pinned down by Mr Hammer. Jin was slightly speechless if Mr Hammer's learning point was to be bigger than the enemy by itself.

"Yeah, right. I can see your thoughts to a certain extent. I AM NOT THAT DUMB OKAY!" Mr Hammer said as it was his turn to discharge magic against the chained up Orc Chieftain. At that point, Bamboo Shoots suddenly sprouted out violently from within the High Orc Chieftain the Boss of this Dune Shell Orc was yelling in agony and pain.

It felt like there were stakes going through his back but that was not the case as it was evident that the High Orc Chieftain was able to push Mr Hammer away, and stood up in retaliation to show that even from the back of his body, there were bamboos violently coming out from him.

It does not understand what was the case and even the surrounding Dune Shell Orcs were experiencing the very same thing. Simultaneously, Jin had decided to use this opportunity to call upon a decisive blow against the High Orc Chieftain.
