Chapter 2112: Mission I

Chapter 2112: Mission I

The call is from Pyramid Council, from the office of Lord Whitman specifically. “Neela, you continue; I will take this call,” I said walked away from her before creating a privacy screen.

“Lord Whitman,” I said as I accepted the call and face of Lord Whitman had appeared in front of me. “Micheal, you have been allocated a mission. You will be coming back to Pyramid immediately,” Lord Whitman said, surprising me greatly.

“Lord Whitman, the conditions of fort Ardon are precarious. There is Violet Vidette; I have to remain here to hold it back,” I said, informed.

“I understand, but the mission we are sending you is also very important, more important than what you are doing in the Fort Ardon,” He said, and the words of excuse I have in my mouth died down.

“The last battle had taken a lot of toll on me; I am not at my 100%,” I informed, and he did not seem surprised hearing that. “In this mission, you will not have to fight; there will be other people for that,” He said, greatly surprised me.

“With need you for this mission because you are the only non-grandmaster Grandmaster class runologist, and we need you to break some seriously powerful formations,” He informed. Creating more questions than an answer for this coming mission of mine.

“Are Grandmasters not available for this mission?” The mission seemed extremly important, and for such missions, they usually send grandmasters, even if we have very few of them.

“Grandmasters could not go to that place,” He said simply. “Prepare yourself; you will be coming back to Pyramid in an hour, and if everything goes well, you should be back in the Fort Ardon in two days or even less,” He said and cut the call.

I sighed and walked toward Neela, “General had called me for an important business; I would be unavailable for at least two days,”  I informed her. A disappointed expression couldn’t help but appear on Neela’s face hearing that.

“Worked on what you have learned today and hear are the solutions; give it to them after they finished their fight,” I said and handed her storage before walking toward the teleportation formation. I could see Neela wanted to say a thing, but she did not.

A second later, I walked into the teleportation formation, and a second later, I appeared in my room. I changed into new clothes and waited; I was sure someone would come soon.

The mission seemed quite mysterious, and I would not have to fight. Seeing there are no Grandmasters, it would be fine if I fought too. I had recovered 85% of my strength already, and throughout the night, I will be able to recover the rest.

I will refrain from fighting till I recover, but I find some delicious treat, I will fight. The purified bloodline essences are the best recovery medicine, and a single master would be more than enough to provide me with enough essence energy needed to recover fully.

I did not have to wait for long, and about ten minutes later, the teleportation formation lit up, and a person appeared. It is none other than General, and he seemed to be in a sour mood.

“I am really angry right now at those bastards; they are calling you back just when we need you the most,” General said as he invited me into the formation before starting adding the code, which is unknown to me. “I will try to come back as soon as possible,” I said; there are the only words I could offer.

“Do that otherwise; we would have to hide like a rat with our defenses active till we have you or someone who could hold off that bastard vidette in battle,” He said.

The next second, the formation activated, and soon we disappeared from my quarters and appeared in the hall, which had another teleportation formation but much larger than what we had just used.

“Best of luck, Dexter, and be careful, the missions in the war times are extremly dangerous,” General said as he activated the big formation.

I stepped into it and disappeared from the hall a second later. I entered the spatial tunnel and remained there for a couple of seconds, walking out, and when I did, I found myself in Pyramid. The feeling of suppressive dangerousness and strong spatial boundaries could only be found in the Pyramid.

“Lord Dexter, please come with me,” said the woman who looked to be in her mid-thirties and is an Elite Tyrant. I nodded at her and followed her behind; ten minutes later, I was in familiar toward, walking toward the familiar room.

“Lord Dexter, Lord Whitman is waiting for you inside,” She said as we reached the waiting room where I met Lord Whitman and Grandmaster Charline last time.

I nodded my thanks and walked inside; there I was. Lord Whitman is already sitting and is now looking at several files in front of him.

“Grandmaster Micheal, welcome back, and I have to say, you have given us quite a nice surprise fighting the vidette,” He said as he turned at me. “Thank You, Lord Whitman,” I said and took a seat opposite of him.

“This persona will not be needed, Grandmaster. You will be doing this mission with your real face,” He said. “Ok,” I said, and soon changes started to appear in me from my skin to hair; everything began to change.

I kept my aura the same; I found out that when I kept my elite aura, it made people a little angry. They think I am joking with them while hiding my real aura. I do not want my new teammates to think that for such a dangerous mission, it is important that there is no friction with us.

“You will be joining the two people for this mission; both of them are just a step away from reaching the Grandmaster class,” He informed. It is reassuring, I do not want to do everything in this new mission, at least till I recover completely.
