Fan Shun glanced sideways at Shangguan Hou before looking at the Huo residence’s main building. The door was open and seven to eight maids were busy moving things.
Fan Shun veered his eyes. “We probably came at a bad time.'”
Shangguan Hou was confused. “Huh?”
“The Huo family is probably receiving a special guest,” said Fan Shun mildly.
Shangguan Hou looked at Fan Shun and promptly guessed. “Mr. Fan, do you have a spy in the family?”
A knowing look emerged in Fan Shun’s deep blue eyes. He straightened his sleeve with his slender finger before he uttered three words nonchalantly. “Just a guess.”
When they first arrived at the residence, judging from the butler’s words and the maids’ actions, it was clear they were in the midst of receiving an esteemed guest.

Fan Shun opened the car door and got into the car.
Shangguan Hou did not say much to Qiao En. They simply made plans to meet and ended the conversation. He tightened his grip on the phone slightly before he quickly got into the car.

“Master Jinfeng?” Huo Jinfeng’s subordinate was standing beside him. After Fan Shun and Shangguan Hou departed, Huo Jinfeng sat there without saying a word. He had never seen his boss react this way.
He could not resist calling his boss.
Huo Jinfeng snapped out of his thoughts. He glanced at his subordinate and said, “Investigate Shangguan Hou. I want to know everything about him.”
The subordinate nodded and acknowledged him.
Huo Jinfeng thought about everything Shangguan Hou had shared. Huo Jinfeng called his subordinate back just as he was about to walk off. “Check on the Shangguan clan as well. The more information the better.”
“Yes, Mr. Huo.” The subordinate had already guessed that his boss would give this order. After all, he had served Huo Jinfeng for over a decade. He also knew a little about Huo Jinfeng’s history.
