Let’s get married.

It took a few seconds before Lu Qi’er recovered from the shock, Gu Mohan had actually said ‘let’s get married’.

Was she dreaming?

Lu Qi’er discreetly gave herself a pinch, it actually hurt!

She wasn’t dreaming, Gu Mohan was really going to get married to her.

“Mohan, I’ll try my best to fulfill my duties as a good wife, I’ll love you forever.”

Gu Mohan was still emotionless, he glanced at Lu Qi’er and said impassively, “I’ll get someone to custom-make your wedding gown and diamond ring. The arranged marriage between the Gu and Lu families will be the most extravagant wedding of all time. I’ll let the entire world witness the happiest moment of your life.”

Lu Qi’er’s burst with joy when she heard his words. With her family background, she would have a grand wedding no matter who the groom was. But these words came out of Gu Mohan’s mouth, they would have a different significance in her heart. A feeling of bliss enveloped her and she felt like she as the happiest woman on earth.

A man like Gu Mohan would dote on her well.

“Mohan, thank you, I’m so happy.”

“There’s no need to thank me. Just make sure you remind your brother to prepare the other half of the antidote and hand it over to me on the day of the wedding.” Lu Qi’er continued to smile happily and Gu Mohan’s reaction to it was merely a smirk, before revealing a cold and indecipherable smile.

Lu Qi’er’s heart palpitated, he mentioned the other half of the antidote yet again.

He most probably married her just to get his hands on the antidote, but she didn’t mind. All she cared about was the end result. Finally, she was going to become Mrs Gu.

Tang Mo’er returned to her apartment and when she opened her eyes in the morning, the sunlight was piercing her eyes. She wasn’t used to it since she had lost her vision and she stretched out her tiny hand to block out the glaring sunlight.

A few moments later, she suddenly realized that she had regained her vision.

Her reddened eyes were watery, she was thankful for it. She cherished every moment when she could see, since she was sure that she was probably going to lose her sight permanently soon.

The next time she lost her vision may be the time that would leave her blind and covered in darkness.

Getting up from the bed, she went into the bathroom to wash up. She then walked the living room and switched on the television.

The television was broadcasting recent entertainment news—-

“Latest news, the Gu and Lu families have announced that the President of the Gu Corporation will be marrying the treasured daughter of the Lu family, Lu Qi’er. All of a sudden, everyone’s attention is on this grand wedding, it only took Lu Qi’er one month to change her status from Gu Mohan’s fiancée to Mrs Gu.

“Not only that, we’ve heard that this wedding will be held at Louis Hills, which we all know signifies extreme wealth and luxury. The Gu’s have booked out the entire Louis Hills and it will be made into a full crystal palace. Gu Mohan will give Lu Qi’er the grandest wedding everyone would dream for, and sources have announced that Lu Qi’er’s wedding gown and diamond ring will be custom-made by famous designers…”

The emcee was clearly excited as she reported on how grand the wedding would be. As for Tang Mo’er, her chopsticks had fallen on the carpet long before.

The cameras panned over and the television was filled with many reporters who gathered together. A prestigious car stopped right in front of them and Gu Mohan appeared.

He wore a custom-made black suit, exuding a dignified aura filled with charisma. He walked along the red carpet confidently, like a King who was high up in the air above the masses.

Lu Qi’er wore a long pink dress and held Gu Mohan’s muscular arm. Her tiny face was blushing pink and she posed for the reporters with an elegant demeanor, revealing a beautiful smile on her face.

“President Gu, Mrs Gu, may we conduct short interview?”

The reporters charged forward but they were blocked by Yan Dong and the bodyguards. “Sorry, we can’t accept any interview requests.”

The reporters outside had already changed how they addressed Lu Qi’er. They had all started calling her ‘Mrs Gu’ instead.
