Young Master Gu, Please Be Gentle

Chapter 1309 - Reunion (1)

Chapter 1309: Reunion (1)

A tiny figure burst out and when Gu Mohan lifted his head to look, he noticed it was an adorable little girl.

She was around three years old, wearing a pretty pink dress, and her tiny feet formed footprints on the sandy beach. She held a pail, crouching over to pick up seashells along the beach.

“President, what are you looking at? Everyone’s waiting for you,” his secretary Yan Dong reminded him.

Gu Mohan suddenly stopped, resulting in the village head and higher-ups behind him stopping too. When Gu Mohan spotted that little girl, his strong heart suddenly turned gentle, for no reason at all.

“Go in first.” Gu Mohan then stretched his legs, walking towards the girl.

Gu Mohan lifted his head, looking at the blue waters in front. The sun’s rays beamed down and it was a beautiful sight.

He didn’t like the sea.

Not at all.

Three years ago, the sea had taken away the person he loved the most. He had once walked into the sea and sunk, but somehow a mysterious force pushed him back onto the shore.

Taking two steps forward, he paused in front of the girl.

The girl lifted her head, looking at him and she greeted, “Hello, Uncle.”

This girl was simply adorable. She had a short bob, her fringe slightly curly and with her chubby cheeks and a cute voice, it made her extremely lovable.

The corners of Gu Mohan’s lips quirked up. This girl wasn’t shy at all, his eyes glinted and he asked, “Hello. What’s your name?”

The girl tilted her head, thinking about it before she replied, “My mommy said that girls shouldn’t easily let other boys know their name.”

“…Oh.”

The girl looked at him excitedly. “Uncle, did you come from the Capital?”

Gu Mohan raised his brows. “How did you know that?”

“My mommy told me there’s an uncle who’s coming from the Capital.”

Her mommy?

To be able to give birth to an adorable little girl like her, her mother must be a beauty. Moreover, this girl had been taught well. Though she was only three years old, she was well-mannered and he could tell she was intelligent.

She was a lovable child.

Gu Mohan nodded. “Yes, I came from the Capital.”

The girl’s eyes lit up. “Then I can tell you my name. I’m Sisi, my full name is Tang Sihan.”

Tang…

Sihan…

Gu Mohan’s hand was in his pocket and when he heard that, his hand twitched. He was reminded of something.

Tang Sihan.

Tang Mo’er… misses… Gu Mohan.

This thought just popped up in his mind.

But he instantly brushed it away.

Lifting his head, he looked around and didn’t spot anyone. “Sisi, what’s your mommy’s name?”

“Umm…” Little Gu Sihan pouted her lips. “My mommy is just Mommy?”

Silly Daddy, she already told him her name but he still couldn’t figure it out.

Little Gu Sihan gave her daddy a somewhat condescending look. Though Daddy was just as handsome as he was in photographs, she doubted his intelligence. Did he… have some sort of problem?

Damn. Was her brother also the same?

She didn’t like that at all.

Gu Mohan could tell that she was judging him. She did it on purpose, she just didn’t want to tell him the name.

“…”

Gu Mohan remained quiet for a moment. “Little rascal, where’s your mommy? Can I meet her?”

Little Gu Sihan pointed at the seashell house in front. “She’s inside.”

Gu Mohan quickly turned around, walking over to the seashell house.

The door was ajar.

He stood outside with his brows slightly furrowed. His heart thumped wildly.

He knew that there was no way.

It was impossible.

Not to mention he had already lost her in the sea a few years back, how could she possibly give birth to such a clever daughter?

It was preposterous.

But still, the heart couldn’t help but hope.

Hot blood seemed to course through his body as his mind spun, he couldn’t control his feet.

Holding the doorknob, he pushed open the door.

The wind chime tinkled as he stepped inside.

The interior was interesting. This seashell house was a small boutique. Different types of handmade jewelry, earrings, charms, necklaces were hung on the wall and placed on the counters. It caught one’s eye.

Gu Mohan slowly walked over. He closed his eyes and smelled a pleasant fragrance.

This fragrance… was the same as Tang Mo’er’s.

Something brushed past his face. It was a small sachet and the red fringe touched his face. His Adam’s apple bobbed. He felt like the fringe was just like her hand, caressing his face.

It made him feel good but was ticklish at the same time.

It satisfied him, but also made him feel horrible.

He could feel her.

Her laughter, her fragrance, everything about her that he had missed.

Was it her?

He heard little Gu Sihan from behind. “Mama, you’re back?”

Mama?

Little Gu Sihan’s mama was back?

Gu Mohan’s body stiffened, opening his eyes in an instant. His muscles stiffened and blood rushed to his head.

After freezing for a few moments, he slowly turned around.

A woman stood beside little Gu Sihan. She was beautiful, but she wasn’t Tang Mo’er.

The woman ruffled little Gu Sihan’s hair and her gaze riveted on Gu Mohan. “Sisi, we have a guest?”

Gu Mohan felt as though a tub of cold water had drenched him from head to toe. His heart turned chilly.

For however much hot blood he had just now, he experienced the same amount of stark coldness.

It wasn’t her.

So it indeed wasn’t her.

He knew it, it wasn’t her.

She had already left him three years ago.

Why made him think that this heartless woman would come back?

Stretching out his legs, Gu Mohan walked out of the seashell house.

He left the house just like that and Mama was perplexed. She touched little Gu Sihan’s head as she asked, “Sisi, who’s that man? Why is he so weird? Your mommy went out to handle some matters and she’ll be back tomorrow. You must be good and not misbehave while she’s gone.”

This woman was called Mama, everyone called her by that nickname.

Little Gu Sihan looked at Gu Mohan from the back, letting out a heavy sigh.

Daddy was so silly.

Little Gu Sihan’s phone started ringing.

She answered the call. “Hello, Mommy.”

A gentle voice was on the other end of the phone, pleasant to the ears. “Sisi, how is it? Have you met your daddy?”

“I’ve met him.”

“Have you acknowledged him?”

“Not yet.” Little Gu Sihan shrugged her little shoulders. “It’s a pity, I’ve scared him away before I could.”
