He was a promising young man from the White Tiger Sect who was vaguely known as the youth champion.
When the Roaring Tiger Clan asked for reinforcements, the White Tiger Sect added that the Holy Church of Light planned to establish the Radiance Clan once again. The sect did not take this matter lightly when they received this information and insisted on suppressing this force to destroy the Holy Church of Light’s hopes.
They hurriedly but carefully investigated this matter and discovered that Zhao Dahe was only a young man. He was not well known because he was unimportant and the Holy Church of Light was probably using him to test the waters.
The sect decided to send their youth champion Tan Hu to kill Zhao Dahe because he was their safest bet.
Tan Hu was brimming with confidence before he arrived but he was completely devastated after his confrontation with Chu Li.
Tan Hu and that man were similar because they were both top-notch masters despite their young age. The Holy Church of Light’s martial arts were slightly better in comparison to the White Tiger Sect, but it was hard to say who would win when the two young men fought each other. It was highly likely that both sides would suffer losses.
Chu Li scoffed. “The White Tiger Sect is considerably skillful. Let’s call it a day, but you’re welcome to visit again another time!”
“Zhao Dahe, I’m going to offer you a piece of advice because I’m impressed by your martial arts. You should leave Gale City,” Tan Hu lowered his voice and said.
Chu Li sneered. “As the Radiance Clan’s leader, I have every right to stay in Gale City.”
Tan Hu clasped his hands behind his back before he stood up. His purple robe fluttered as he said, “This is the White Tiger Sect’s territory.”
“So what?” Chu Li huffed before he turned around and left.
Tan Hu glared at the back of his figure as he left. He furrowed his eyebrows.
Was the Holy Church of Light determined to set foot in Gale City?
The Holy Church of Light had no shortage of geniuses and they allowed those geniuses to do whatever they pleased because they had enough of them to spare. In other words, the disciples had their lives in their own hands. However, it was unlikely that the Holy Church of Light had any other masters who were as impressive as Zhao Dahe.
This showed that the Holy Church of Light valued Gale City.
Tan Hu would not allow Zhao Dahe to gain a footing here. He wanted to put a stop to the Holy Church of Light’s greed.
…
The night sky was as black as ink when twilight fell. Neither the moon nor the stars could be seen.
Chu Li was cultivating his martial arts in the gazebo when two human figures silently slid into the mansion.
One of the figures belonged to Tan Hu, while the other one belonged to a lanky elder. The elder’s face was as red as a jujube while his eyes were seemingly filled with electricity.
Tan Hu held a torch and went to the woodshed first before he set it on fire.
Chu Li frowned. He appeared right in front of Kou Qiong and the others in a flash before he quietly coughed.
They were sitting on a mat in the vestibule and were cultivating their martial arts before Chu Li startled them.
Chu Li glanced at the trio before he quietly said, “All three of you should leave the residence for now.”
“Clan Leader?” Kou Qiong frantically retorted.
Chu Li scoffed. “A top-notch master is here. You’ll die in vain if you cross paths with him, so hurry up and leave!”
“Yes…” The three men hastily nodded.
They were terrified about dying now seeing that they had been just released from prison and had their martial arts restored. It would truly be a waste if they died now because they had yet to enjoy their lives properly.
Tan Hu watched as the flames engulfed the woodshed. Chu Li appeared behind Tan Hu all of a sudden before he threw a punch at him.
“Bang!” Tan Hu turned around and returned his blow. Their fists had already collided before the raging tiger’s roar could be heard.
Both Chu Li and Tan Hu stepped backward.
A taunting smirk appeared on Tan Hu’s face as the blazing flames illuminated it. “I’m going to burn down every single house here. How will the Radiance Clan remain here if there are no houses left?”
“The Radiance Clan will stay put as long as I’m present!” Chu Li sneered.
Tan Hu shook his head. “You’re definitely going to die here today.”
The ruddy-faced elder appeared behind Chu Li as if he was a ghost. The elder silently placed his palm on Chu Li.
Chu Li had sensed the elder’s figure long ago because he had the Omniscient Mirror. A dazzling gleam flickered near Chu Li’s waist.
“Ding…” The sharp end of Chu Li’s sword pierced the elder’s palm, but it felt as though he had stabbed a stone or a piece of iron.
An extremely aggressive burst of inner energy rushed through his sword, but it was instantly burned up and exhausted by the Divine Light Technique. Chu Li transformed it into his own inner energy before he used his sword to attack again.
“Ding ding ding ding…” Chu Li’s blade was as quick as lightning, but the ruddy-faced elder always managed to block his attacks with his palm.
Chu Li lowered his face while he waved his sword with haste.
He never expected that the elder’s palm technique would be so unique. It was not inferior to the Divine Light Sword and was in actuality, even better than it. The aggressive burst of inner energy continuously surged inside. The Divine Light Technique burned and transformed the elder’s palm technique in the beginning, but it was unable to keep up with the transformations later on.
Chu Li disappeared instantaneously before he appeared behind Tan Hu.
“Ding…” Tan Hu blocked the sharp end of Chu Li’s sword with his palm. The aggressive burst of inner energy from the blade was severely weakened now.
“Master’s Junior Meng!” Tan Hu exclaimed.
The elder’s fist moved toward Tan Hu. A raging tiger’s roar echoed as Tan Hu extended his fist as well.
Their fist force met in midair before it suddenly transformed into an illusion of a raging tiger. It resembled a misty shadow as it immediately rushed toward Chu Li.
Chu Li was shocked. He had never seen such a unique skill.
He tried to pierce it with the sharp end of his sword, but there was only an empty void. It did not seem like a regular fist force.
A burst of strange inner energy coursed through his blade. It was as icy as cold water but appeared solid at the same time. The inner energy was unusually refined. He instantly negated it before he stepped backward to stall them and catch his breath. He did not want to use the Heavenly Demonic Orb.
The raging tiger illusion suddenly flashed and immediately rushed toward him at the speed of light.
“Bang!” Chu Li felt something hit his chest like a giant hammer before he flew backward.
Chu Li read the two men’s minds to find out that this was the White Tiger Killing Skill. He never expected it to be so powerful.
His violent inner energy wreaked havoc inside his body. Chu Li briefly suppressed the Divine Light Technique because it was constantly destroying his internal organs.
The best part of the Divine Light Body had revealed itself. It was so tough that it remained intact despite the ongoing destruction. A pale light began to shine from Chu Li’s body. There was a flickering faint glow as he resisted the inner energy while constantly neutralizing its harmful effects.
“Hmph, he seems rather skillful.” Master’s Junior Meng quietly sighed before he extended his fist toward Tan Hu again.
Tan Hu reached his fist out as well.
Their fist force met again before it condensed into an indistinct tiger silhouette that charged at Chu Li.
This illusion moved at an incredible speed. Chu Li used Time Steps and disappeared quickly from his original spot before he appeared twenty feet away. The white tiger silhouette moved as quickly as a shadow. The silhouette instantly crashed against Chu Li’s body just as he reappeared. A dull banging noise rang out before Chu Li moved away once more.
“Again!” Master’s Junior Meng said.
Chu Li floated in midair before he swiftly vanished. He appeared thirty feet away. There was another flash before he reappeared ten feet away. When the flash occurred again, he had already disappeared from the men’s field of vision.
“Go after him!” Master’s Junior Meng scoffed. “We must kill him today!”
Tan Hu smirked. “Don’t worry, Master’s Junior. He’ll run back here on his own once we’ve burned this place.”
“I see. Carry on then.” Master’s Junior Meng nodded.
Tan Hu picked up the torch and continued burning the house.
He set the houses on fire one after another. Five houses burnt in an instant. It turned into a sea of fire. The flames illuminated their faces, but Chu Li never appeared.
Suddenly, another blaze could be seen in the distance before somebody shouted, “Zhao Dahe of the Holy Church of Light’s Radiance Clan is here!”
The expression on Master’s Junior Meng’s face changed slightly. “That’s the Roaring Tiger Clan.”
Tan Hu gritted his teeth. “What an evil b*stard!”
Zhao Dahe was trying to make both sides suffer terrible losses. Zhao Dahe set the Roaring Tiger Clan on fire while they burned this area. Although this area was vast, it was slightly smaller than the Roaring Tiger Clan.
“Keep burning!” Master’s Junior Meng scoffed. “We can’t return and face the sect if we don’t kill him today.”
As an Elder of the sect and a Clan Leader, he would be too embarrassed to face everyone else if he was unable to kill a disciple of the Holy Church of Light who was also his junior.
“Alright!” Tan Hu gritted his teeth as well.
He burned the houses one by one.
Chu Li’s voice reverberated from afar when he yelled, “White Tiger Sect, listen up. I’m going to kill everyone in the Roaring Tiger Clan if you refuse to come here!”
A light flashed in Master’s Junior Meng’s eyes before he helplessly shook his head. “Let’s go over.”
The Roaring Tiger Clan and everyone in Gale City became fearful when they heard Zhao Dahe shouting. The White Tiger Sect’s prestige would suffer great losses if they refused to go there.
“Zhao Dahe, don’t run away unless you’re a coward!” Tan Hu yelled before the pair rushed over like a howling gust of wind. They appeared before Chu Li in a split second.
Chu Li was setting the Roaring Tiger Clan’s houses on fire one at a time while the people of that clan stood in the distance. They looked on helplessly as they were too afraid to stop him. They remained silent out of fear when they saw several disciples from the Roaring Tiger Clan laid on the ground and were too scared to make any sudden movements.
