Chapter 2737 Checking The Sleepscape

Chapter 2737  Checking The Sleepscape

Lin Mu and his companions continued their conversation, discussing various matters in detail.

Daoist Chu recounted everything he had been up to, sharing stories about the things he had purchased and the tasks he had undertaken. Lin Mu was relieved to learn that Daoist Chu hadn't spent all his time lounging at the Four Fruits Restaurant.

While he had certainly indulged in the city's delicacies, he had also devoted time to his cultivation and worked diligently on his formations. The man had replenished most of the talismans he had used during the great battle against Yao Changying and had even acquired new materials unique to the city and its surrounding areas.

Monk Hushu, on the other hand, had spent most of his time immersed in cultivation. Even his participation in the temple's duties was technically a form of cultivation, so he had not been idle. For him, these responsibilities were crucial since he had recently gained significant insights while advancing at the Bridge Plane. He required time in seclusion to consolidate his newfound understanding, fortify his foundation, and fully assimilate the benefits of his progress.

After weeks of dedicated effort, Monk Hushu could confidently claim that he was at least ten percent stronger than before. It was a remarkable improvement for a cultivator, considering the short span of time.

As the sun began its descent, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, Lin Mu suddenly remembered something important.

"I think I'll take a nap for a bit if that's alright," Lin Mu said, addressing his companions.

"Oh yeah, sure," Daoist Chu replied with a casual wave of his hand.

Without wasting another moment, Lin Mu laid down on Little Shrubby's back and closed his eyes. Within mere seconds, he had slipped into a deep sleep, leaving Daoist Chu slightly bewildered.

"Fighting, eating, and now even sleeping… is there anything he isn't good at?" Daoist Chu muttered, shaking his head in amusement.

Monk Hushu simply shrugged, unfazed by Lin Mu's peculiar abilities.

SHUA!

Lin Mu's eyes opened, but instead of the physical world, he found himself within the familiar tranquility of the Sleepscape. The Immortal Apple Tree towered above him, its vast canopy gently swaying as if greeting him.

Rustle rustle rustle.

The tree's branches quivered in response, seemingly acknowledging his arrival.

"Oh, looks like quite a lot of apples have ripened. I should take some for everyone," Lin Mu observed, pleased with the sight of the lush, glowing fruit hanging from the branches.

Sensing his intent, the Immortal Apple Tree lowered its boughs, making it easier for him to pluck the fruit. Just as he reached out to grab a few, he suddenly remembered that Meng Bai wouldn't be able to consume them.

"Hmm… Can you still grow normal spirit apples?" Lin Mu asked, looking up at the tree expectantly.

The tree's crown tilted slightly, as if pondering his request.

"There's someone who can't eat the Immortal Apples. I need a weaker version for them," Lin Mu explained.

RUSTLE RUSTLE RUSTLE!

In response, the tree quivered before lowering a new branch.

SHUA!

The branch suddenly blossomed, its delicate flowers quickly maturing into bright red apples before Lin Mu's eyes. Within a minute, a dozen spirit apples had appeared, ready to be picked.

"Huh… That was fast," Lin Mu murmured in astonishment. "I guess growing spirit apples is nothing to you now."

The Immortal Apple Tree had clearly grown far stronger over time, to the point where Lin Mu could no longer accurately gauge its level. Unlike the other plants in the Sleepscape, which had originated in the outside world before being brought in, the tree had been born here, making its nature even more enigmatic.

"Well, thank you," Lin Mu said with a nod of appreciation before turning to check on the other plants thriving within the Sleepscape.

WOO WOO WOO!

The Immortal Wood Spirit Tulip greeted Lin Mu enthusiastically, its petals quivering with excitement after not seeing him for a while.

"Huh, you seem a few centimeters taller," Lin Mu remarked with a chuckle.

At his words, the flower atop the tulip closed slightly, as if bashful from the compliment.

Next, Lin Mu turned his attention to the Purple Sickle Amaranth, which had also reached the Immortal level. The plant swayed gently in the air, absorbing the rich Immortal Qi and converting it into potent Wood Elemental Immortal Qi.

Satisfied that all was well, Lin Mu shifted his focus to the newest addition to the Sleepscape—the mysterious seed given to him by Crown Princess Shang. He had planted it some time ago, and Little Shrubby had been diligently nurturing it with his pure Wood Elemental Qi.

"Still no change, huh… Just what are you?" Lin Mu murmured, gazing at the patch of soil where the seed had been planted.

So far, there were no visible signs of growth. The seed had yet to sprout, making him wonder just how long it would take to germinate.

"Guess it'll need more time," he mused before moving on to inspect the Snow Glass Pear saplings.

"They seem to be growing decently," Lin Mu noted, pleased with their progress. Finally, he approached the oldest entity in the Sleepscape—the mutated Violet Mystic Life Tree.

The ancient tree remained in deep slumber, its massive roots and branches still as ever. However, what caught Lin Mu's attention were the peculiar 'nests' nestled within its foliage.

Inside the nests, fast asleep, were the twins and Ashy.

"Looks like they played quite a bit outside earlier," Lin Mu chuckled, flying closer for a better look.

As he peered into the nests, he noticed an assortment of objects strewn about—jewelry, gemstones, swords, daggers, and various other shiny trinkets.

Lin Mu raised an eyebrow. "Where did they get all this?"

He was well aware of Ashy's penchant for collecting shiny things, but it seemed the twins had now adopted the same hobby. Judging by their collections, they were in some sort of competition to see who could decorate their nest in the most extravagant manner.
