VRMMO: The Unrivaled

Chapter 1367: Dongliang Borrows An Army

Chapter 1367: Dongliang Borrows An Army

Shabby Castle, the number one player of Sunset City, was literally trembling after hearing all of Little Piglet’s "unreasonable" demands. "T-that’s all, right?"

Little Piglet shrugged. "Yes, that’s all. And don’t even think to bargain with me. If you agree to my demands, I will join Dark Mercenaries. If you don’t, I will create my own force that specifically targets Dark Mercenaries every time they show your face. I won’t regret it no matter what the outcome is."

"But…"

Shabby Castle hesitated for a moment. "We can gather 1 billion gold. We can purchase 50000 pieces of Level 180 Heaven-grade metal armor equipment from the auction houses as well. But the Iron Cutter Cavalry… that is Vienna’s Sorrow new baby, and you want 100000 of them? There aren’t even that many Iron Cutter Cavalrymen in the entire Hero Alliance right now. You’re literally asking Vienna’s Sorrow to weaken his own guild!"

Little Piglet smiled. "Every man and woman should know how much they’re worth, and I think I am worth 100000 Iron Cutter Warhorses. If Vienna’s Sorrow thinks so as well, then he shouldn’t be stingy about it…"

Shabby Castle answered, "Very well. I will consult him now. Give me half a minute."

"Mn!"

Not even 20 seconds later, Shabby Castle looked up and said, "It’s done. He’s agreed. However, he won’t be able to give you the 100000 Iron Cutter Warhorses all at once. He suggested an 8-week installment where he’ll give you 12.5k Sealing Stones per week. He’ll be hard-pressed to convince his guild to bear such a demand otherwise. Do you agree?"

Little Piglet nodded. "That’s not a problem!"

Little Piglet then continued, "Now, let us speak frankly. I know you must have quite the number of tasks for me to do to acquiesce to all of my demands, so I’ll tell you my bottom line right now. Even as I am now, I will not do something as shameless as opening the gates for you or surrendering a main city. Other than that though, you are free to fire away."

Shabby Castle smiled. "I know, and the Northern Alliance isn’t foolish enough to ask you something that unreasonable. All we ask you is to eliminate 10 guilds. Also, the stronger Dark Mercenaries guild becomes, the happier we’ll be!"

"Elaborate." Little Piglet looked surprised.

Shabby Castle began, "We want you to eliminate 3 guilds in Purple Grape City—Era of Strife, Asura Period and Protective Umbrella—2 guilds in India—Nation Guardian and Natural Flow—1 guild in Korea—Throne of the Wild—and 4 guilds in China, namely Purgatory Mad Dragon, Gods of Destruction, Blazing Hot Lips and The Monarch Descends. That is all. You may accomplish your task however you want to go about it!"

"That’s interesting, but what do you mean by ‘eliminate’?" Little Piglet asked.

Shabby Castle chuckled. "Ahh, you couldn’t know about it. Guilds in the outer lands get a unique all-or-nothing guild challenge mode where they can challenge any guild on the continent to a 100k versus 100k war. It can be done once every 7 days. The victor will be rewarded handsomely, and the loser’s main guild will automatically disband. Moreover, the loser’s guild name cannot be reused. If the challenged party rejects the challenge, their guild rank will be reduced by one.

The requirements to make the challenge are quite demanding, however. First, the challenger must pay 10 million guild contribution points to make the challenge. Two, all the players within the challenger’s guild will lose 3 leves. Finally, you need a Vassal Challenge Token. There are only 3 such tokens in the entire world right now, and 2 of them are in the USA server."

Little Piglet smiled. "Understood… pay me first!"

"Mn!"

It was at this moment Warsky Alliance and Candle Dragon finally made their move. After the transaction was complete, Shabby Castle produced a return scroll from his bag and said, "Pleasure doing business with you, guild leader Little Piglet. I shall be taking my leave now, but I will remain in contact with you as a matter of course. Now, feel free to detach yourself from the China server!"

"Understood!"

Little Piglet shuddered once, and his nation emblem slowly vanished from his arm. He then removed his CGL Hall of Famer emblem, gave it one final kiss before declaring, "Goodbye, my former glory!"

Crack… crack…

His wrist turned, and the emblem shattered under his bloody blade. At this point, we all fully believed that Little Piglet had been completely consumed by his thirst of vengeance—or, depending who you were asking, his determination to become king of mercenaries and command an army of millions. At the very least, it was a far more attractive proposition than becoming a corps commander of Purgatory Mad Dragon.

Swhoosh!

Shabby Castle and his group of Armor Breaker Cavalrymen all escaped using a return scroll, so Dark Mercenaries were the only one left. As the guild leader emblem appeared on Little Piglet’s arm, Amber Pupil uttered with clear jealousy and hatred, "You’ve gotten your wish, Little Piglet. Now, how are you going to command your very first battle as a member of Dark Mercenaries? Remember, Candle Dragon, Warsky Alliance, Ancient Sword and Snowy Cathaya’s elites are all here, and our quantity and quality are way inferior to our enemies. Surely you have a way to turn this around?"

Little Piglet rolled his eyes at him before saying, "Are you even listening to yourself? Why fight a battle you cannot win in the first place[1]?"

He then raised his sword and ordered, "Dark Mercenaries, scatter and escape in every direction! If you cannot, take as many down with you before you hit the floor! While you’re dead, wait for my signal and make sure to take note of our new rally point. There’s only so much they can do before they must let us go! Now, retreat!"

……

Little Piglet’s call was the right one. There was absolutely no chance Dark Mercenaries could defeat the Dragonlight Cavalry, Gold Cavalry, Dragon Punisher Archers and more, so scattering into the outer lands was their next best option. We didn’t bring many players with us in the first place, and even if we did it was only a matter of time before these runaways literally ran out of our clutches.

I, He Yi, Beiming Xue, Li Chengfeng, Gui Guzi and more didn’t participate in the chase, however. We simply stood atop a small hill of Frostbone Ridge and watched the ongoing battle.

I said, "It’s unfortunate that Little Piglet still left us in the end."

Chaos Moon replied, "Eh, not really? Little Piglet is a wild person by nature, and some idiot gave him the exact stimulation he needed to betray the China server. Still, I gotta commend the Northern Alliance this time. I wasn’t expecting them to invest this much resources in Dark Mercenaries."

Li Chengfeng rested his Crimson Refinement Sword on his thigh and leaped up a giant rock. "It’s an acceptable investment. It’s not surprising at all that the Northern Alliance would do this to restrain the nearby servers."

Gui Guzi said, "That do-or-die guild challenge mode sounds pretty exciting, huh?"

I smiled. "Yeah. The loser will automatically disband, and they won’t be able to register their previous guild name. That’s a bit too much even for me."

Heaven’s Rain blinked in confusion. "I mean, you can just make another guild, right? It doesn’t really affect anything?"

Li Chengfeng explained, "You don’t understand, Little Rain. Imagine if Ancient Sword lost and was forced to disband. We wouldn’t even be able to use our name anymore. Do you know how humiliating that is? Even if the guild is rebuilt with a new name, who would even want to stay in it?"

Beiming Xue pointed a finger at me. "Big bro would. He stayed even though Ancient Sword was wrecked again and again in Spirit of Grief…"

Me: "Girl, why are you tormenting me with my dark history?"

Smiling, He Yi sat on top of my Ancient Divine Dragon, grabbed the lamp vine to steady herself and leaned against me. "At least the Northern Alliance’s strategic goal is pretty obvious. The 10 guilds they tasked Little Piglet to eliminate aren’t the best guilds of their respective domains, but they are close enough. Eliminating them will greatly eliminate the servers’ strength and enable their expansion. Vienna’s Sorrow and Shabby Castle are clearly plotting something big…"

Li Chengfeng hummed for a moment. "This guild challenge mode is a 100k versus 100k battle, so the scale is pretty huge. Moreover, Dark Mercenaries lose everything if they lose even once. Therefore, it stands to reason that Little Piglet will tackle the weaklings first. Blazing Hot Lips and Nation Guardian are among the better guilds, so there’s no way he would challenge them first. Obviously, he won’t challenge our allies either…"

Diamond Dust puffed up her chest and declared proudly, "But of course! All we need to do is to send out 50k Dragonlight Cavalry plus 30k Dragonlight Archers plus 20k Holy Mages, and we’ll wipe the floor with them even if they have thrice our numbers. They’d have to be absolutely suicidal to challenge us…"

I shrugged. "Obviously, Little Piglet will not be coming for us."

"I wonder what Purgatory Mad Dragon will do? Obviously, they’re the likeliest to be challenged first…" He Yi chuckled.

I replied expectantly, "I wouldn’t mind seeing them disband. Wang Dongliang and Lu Chao—especially Lu Chao—are just the lowest of the lowest. Dude should have his limbs and his dick broken to pieces!"

Gui Guzi nodded. "We’ll fry him in a pot, and we won’t even flip him around before serving the customers!"

Li Chengfeng, "Heavens, you guys are so hardcore!"

……

Meanwhile, Warsky was standing behind his troops and watching the Gold Cavalry slaughtering the Dark Mercenaries on the ground.

It was at this moment Wang Dongliang, Roaming Dragon, Coldmoon Rose and a couple hundred players walked up to him and asked, "Are you free to speak, Warsky?"

Warsky shot him a glance before asking, "What is it?"

Wang Dongliang gritted his teeth like he had difficulty saying the words he wanted. "There’s something I want to discuss with you about. I hope you’ll agree to it."

"Yeah, sure. What is it?"

I…" Wang Dongliang’s face was fully red when he finally uttered, "I wish to rent your troops for a month. Is that okay?"

"You want to rent my troops?" Warsky laughed. "Oh, Dongliang. Are you afraid of Little Piglet’s revenge? Is that why you wish to rent our elites to survive this tribulation you had brought upon yourselves?"

Roaming Dragon clenched his fists. "Why are you ridiculing us? It’s not like we’re demanding your service for free."

Warsky sneered, "And why would I do that? The two of you are so stupid you would give away an excellent commander like Little Piglet to the enemy with a fucking ribbon attached. I would be doing my brothers and sisters a disservice if I sent them into your pigsty."

"You!" Wang Dongliang shook with fury.

However, October Rain stepped out and said, "Warsky, shut up. I’ll do the talking here!"

She then walked up to Wang Dongliang and said, "So, Dongliang, who do you wish to rent exactly?"

"We would like to rent 10000 Gold Cavalrymen…" Wang Dongliang mumbled.

"Sure!"

October Rain smiled sweetly. "That’ll be 500 million gold per month. That’s acceptable, right?"

"That’s…"

Wang Dongliang froze.
