Chapter 1972: Witch Goddess Contacts Eren
Chapter 1972: Witch Goddess Contacts Eren
The mood in the army shifted completely.
Fear faded. Doubt disappeared.
The soldiers now burned with purpose. Their blood boiled with excitement and faith.
They raised their weapons, their fists, and their voices.
"SACRIFICE US, LORD SHIR!"
"LET US BE THE OFFERING!"
"FOR GOD RAASHIM!"
The chant spread like wildfire. The soldiers were ready to give their lives, to turn themselves into fuel for the altar.
They were ready to summon their god's will into the world with their own blood. Even though not everyone really wanted to die, the fervent fever of "mob psychology" had gripped over them.
And Shir looked down at them, a dark gleam in his eyes.
Everything was going just as he had planned.

While Shir stood above his army, riling them up with words of faith and fury, something shifted quietly on the other side of the battlefield.
Eren stood still, arms crossed, eyes watching the chaos from afar.
But just as the chants of "sacrifice" and "God Raashim" rose louder across the field, he felt something strange.
A soft sensation brushed against his ears. It wasn't wind, and it wasn't from anyone nearby.
It was a whisper. A voice without sound. A presence reaching out to him. In the whispers, he could faintly hear the voice of a stunning woman.
Eren didn't look surprised. In fact, he smiled—as if he'd been waiting for this exact moment.
Without moving from his spot, he closed his eyes.
In the next breath, his consciousness slipped away from the battlefield and into a vast, endless void.
Everything around him faded into a sea of nothingness—silent and deep. Then, right in front of him, something appeared.
Two lips.
Just lips. No face. No body.
But they floated before him like they were part of something far greater.
They were large, perfectly shaped, glowing with a divine light. Their curves were full of charm, and their color glowed like soft moonlight.
They were the lips of a goddess. And Eren could tell—without a doubt—that she was beautiful when she had her entire body.
Even though the witch goddess could produce a fake Spirit Body to meet with Eren, she chose to stay true to her divinity.
The butcher smiled at the divine lips, a calm, respectful smile. Then he gave a small bow, keeping his posture relaxed.
"How have you been, Goddess Two Lips?" he asked.
The lips curled into a playful smile before slowly parting. A voice followed—soft, enchanting, and full of mystery.
"Young Demon Emperor, you don't seem surprised that I called you here," the goddess said in a teasing tone. "Are you toying with me?"
Right after she spoke, a heavy pressure dropped onto Eren.
It felt like a mountain had landed on his back. His knees almost gave way from the sheer force pressing down on him. The space around him trembled.
But Eren didn't panic. He stayed calm and answered truthfully.
"I am toying, yes," he said.
Then he quickly added, "But not with you. I would never dare. A lady as beautiful as you is the one who has all the rights to toy with me."
He looked up at the lips, meeting them with a fearless smile. The lips curled again, as if amused by his words.
The witch goddess didn't need to ask for more. She understood immediately what Eren was implying.
"I see," she said in a voice that was both amused and curious. "It seems you've set your eyes on claiming Sea God Raashim's territory. What are you planning to do with him?"
Eren pressed his lips together for a moment, thinking. Then he spoke clearly.
"I want him to lose everything he has in Labh Salem's seas," he said.
"You probably already know I'm in the middle of a battle with his avatar. If I kill him, I'll gain the avatar's God Spark… and his domain.
With a bit of theatrics, I might claim his low level followers as well."
He wasn't trying to lie or hold anything back. Not with her.
After all, she was the residency deity of Labh Salem. Keeping secrets from her would've been nothing short of foolish.
"I see."
'No, you don't,' Eren thought to himself as he looked at the sight of only two lips. But he kept that little pun to himself. Hell hath no fury like a witch scorned.
In the endless void, the two glowing lips of the witch goddess stayed still for a moment. Then they slowly pressed together.
When they opened again, they revealed perfect, white teeth. A soft chuckle followed as her pink tongue flicked playfully across the corners of her lips.
Then came her voice—smooth, teasing, and filled with interest.
"Were you perhaps expecting that the Sea God Raashim would try to contact me?"
Eren smiled and answered right away.
"Not at first," he said. "But I just got to learn from my half-brother that you've managed to become the interim residency deity of Labh Salem."
He paused, then added, "I know how the ritual of sacrifices works. So I guessed—and hoped—that the Sea God would reach out to you at a crucial moment."

Indeed, Eren had made many adjustments to his plans after receiving several essential pieces of information from the twin dragons and the sea monster.
He had already heard rumors from Naya about the Raashim Temple's possession of the automatons.
In his original plan, Eren wasn't supposed to allow Shir to activate those automatons. Instead, he was prepared to risk his life and put the Demon Earls on the line to weaken Shir through a different method.
He would then either steal the gems required to activate the automatons or use the spatial locks he had obtained from Sansara Sage's legacy to temporarily isolate those gems from their surroundings.
He also wasn't supposed to engage in direct combat with Shir.
However, Eren changed the game entirely after gaining three key pieces from the enemy side.
Not only did he neutralize the threat they posed, but he also managed to bring them into his own camp.
This was an unexpected haul.
The addition of the twin dragons and his half-brother shifted many dynamics for Eren. So, he discarded his earlier plans and created a new one—one that was much safer and more effective.
It was Eren's father, Elijah, who had taught him how to play chess.
As a master strategist, Elijah had passed on the essence of the game to him.
The "rules" set by his father allowed the butcher to view everything happening around him as a chessboard.
According to Elijah, there was no guaranteed strategy to win.
Sure, there were many well-known moves that could get you to a certain point on the board. But relying on those alone was foolish—because real opponents were living, thinking beings who made unpredictable decisions.
The best way to win, Elijah had said, was to let your enemy make all their moves and drain their resources. All you needed to do was wait. Be patient.
And once the board was set just right, flip the situation entirely and end the game on your terms.

The two lips curved slightly, as if her unseen face had just nodded.
"You're not wrong," the goddess replied. "That man wants me to allow him to connect Labh Salem to his Immortal Domain. Looks like he wants to take in some souls of his followers inside it."
Then her voice turned curious.
"What do you want me to do?"
Eren didn't hesitate.
"Allow him," he said calmly.
The goddess didn't speak right away.
If she had eyes, they would've widened in surprise.
She had expected Eren to come to her with a desperate plea—to beg her to stop the Sea God from linking his Divine Kingdom.
After all, once that connection was made, God Raashim would gain a direct path into Labh Salem. He could descend his will, harness his divine magic, and even claim mortal souls. It was the highest kind of threat.
Once a god opened a divine bridge between their Immortal Domain and a mortal world, they weren't just watching from above anymore. They were part of the battlefield.
If Eren allowed this, it could spell disaster.
With that bridge open, God Raashim could:
Take the souls of his fallen believers and make them part of his Divine Kingdom.
Cast his Immortal Might into the battlefield for a brief moment.
Appear physically in Labh Salem through his avatar or even more.
And since Eren's side didn't have anyone even close to Immortal Rank, they had no way to counter that divine power. His entire army could be wiped out.
Even a demigod like Eren himself could die—just from standing too close despite all his trump cards.
The witch goddess was silent for a few seconds. Then her lips moved slightly.
"You want me to allow the Sea God to bring his Divine Kingdom here?" she asked again, this time in a lower voice.
Eren kept his calm.
"Yes," he said with confidence. "Let him connect it. Let him do everything he's planning."
