Chapter 1193: Chapter 1189: Daddy Dotes on You
Rong Xi marveled, “This man is truly handsome, even more so than any uncle I’ve seen!”
Chu Yifeng was stunned by the feeling he harbored inside. This little girl gave him a sense of familiarity, an urge to immediately hold her in his arms.
Chu Yifeng stood up, his long legs swiftly carried him to Rong Xi in two strides. He bent down, his deep eyes fixating on Rong Xi, “Do you know me?”
Rong Xi shook her head, “No.”
But she liked him.
She liked Chu Yifeng, such a handsome man and she liked his gentleness too.
Rong Xi expressed her liking unreservedly, stretching her hand out to Chu Yifeng, “Daddy.”
Chu Yifeng instinctively held her in his arms, but he found it somewhat amusing, “I don’t have a daughter.”
The woman he loved had not born him a child.
Regrettably.
“But you are the daddy I want.”
Rong Xi leaned against Chu Yifeng, he was just like the towering and powerful daddy she had pictured, who could give her a sense of security.
Perhaps overrun with yearning for a child, Chu Yifeng carried Rong Xi into the room, his tone indulgent and doting, “Then tonight I shall be your daddy. What would you like?”
“I want daddy to hold me, take me out to play.”
Rong Xi fiddled with her delicate fingers, trying to poke Chu Yifeng’s face.
Chu Yifeng let her poke his face, his joy manifesting in a broad smile, “Alright, tonight daddy will take you out!”
He hadn’t cared for a child before, but tonight, he would grant every wish of this little one in his arms!
He carried Rong Xi to the roof, since Rong Xi loved flying in the air. He then carried her around the roofs, and since Rong Xi enjoyed the night lights, he took her up the highest tower to look out from a high vantage point.
When Rong Xi got hungry and wanted to eat, Chu Yifeng kicked open the door of an inn. With his knife at the innkeeper’s throat, he said coldly, “Make whatever my daughter wants to eat.”
The innkeeper trembled on the bed, “Sir… our chefs have all gone to rest!”
Where was he to find someone to cook at this late hour?
What kind of lunatic creates such a hassle in the middle of the night?!
“No chefs?” Chu Yifeng’s eyes hardened, the knife blade turned and half of the room was instantly in shambles, hacked messily.
The innkeeper stared dumbfounded, legs buckling as he rolled off the bed, “I’ll go find someone! I’ll find a chef right away! I’ll definitely make whatever your daughter wants to eat!”
The innkeeper scurriedly knocked on the chef’s door, half-dressed, while Chu Yifeng sat with Rong Xi in the hall, Ah Hong stationed with dozens of men around them.
When the steaming meals and desserts were served, Chu Yifeng asked Rong Xi, “Can you eat? Do you need daddy’s help?”
Rong Xi could eat by herself, she had her own little set of bowl and chopsticks.
But sitting in Chu Yifeng’s lap, feeling his protective embrace, Rong Xi shook her head, “I can’t eat, I want daddy to feed me.”
“Alright, daddy will feed you.”
Chu Yifeng laughed as he picked up a piece of soft milk cake, bringing it to Rong Xi’s mouth. She bit it slowly, one bite at a time. After finishing one, Chu Yifeng continued to feed her other foods.
Noticing he hadn’t eaten, Rong Xi grabbed a green plum cake and brought it to Chu Yifeng’s mouth, “Daddy, you eat too.”
“Alright.”
Chu Yifeng ate the cake and gently nibbled Rong Xi’s little finger. Rong Xi quickly pulled her finger back, her face turning red, she wiped it on her dress, “Daddy bit me.”
