Xi Lin hugged little Wang’er, bowed, and replied indifferently, “I have already had my meal with Tianlan.”
“I didn’t ask you.” Helian Huang was a little displeased, he didn’t know who he was asking either, but seeing Xi Lin’s attitude, he didn’t like it.

Helian Huang had been a good friend for more than ten years, she didn’t want to get involved in this matter. However, she would take Xi Lin and little Wang’er away, she couldn’t let them suffer.
Xi Lin lowered her head in fear, she wanted to pretend that she didn’t hear their conversation, but she understood the meaning behind their words. Helian Huang had told her before.
If she had not been worried about little Wang’er’s safety, she would not have asked Tianlan for help, she did not want Tianlan to see that she was living such a miserable life.
Helian Huang was not surprised by her answer, he wanted to stay for a meal, but he remembered she did not eat anything at all last night, so he did not say anything further, just turned and left, afraid that it would affect her appetite.
Feng Tianlan heaved a sigh of relief when she saw Helian Huang turned and left, she turned to look at Xi Lin’s forced smile, she felt even more uncomfortable within her heart.
“Tianlan, take Wang’er with you.” Xi Lin pushed Wang’er into her arms and said gently to Wang’er,” Wang’er, go with Aunty Lan. Mom will pick you up after I have done with my work.”
Wang’er’s big, watery eyes instantly teared up, she looked like a pitiful puppy that was about to be abandoned, but she nodded obediently. “Wan’er… is obedient.”
Her mother said that she had to be obedient so that she could be with her mother forever. Therefore, she had to be obedient.
