Chapter 3198 - It Was Wei Wucai
Chapter 3198: It Was Wei Wucai
“The film crew and the special effects crew have to take their own equipments. As for the men who do not need to take anything, take care of the women!” the assistant director shouted.
Not only was there heavy rain, but there was a strong wind as well.
The wind was blowing like crazy.
It caused very loud rustlings in the trees on the mountain.
The branches and leaves were shaking. It was unknown as to whether it was the rain that had knocked the leaves loose or if the wind had blown the leaves off.
Leaves just kept falling.
Some of the trees that had thinner trunks, especially the weaker seedlings, were getting blown back and forth.
When Han Zhuofeng saw this, he felt so worried for Shi Xiaoya.
If Shi Xiaoya were to injure herself, Han Zhuoling would rip his skin off.
As Han Zhuofeng was on his way to find Shi Xiaoya, he wondered why what popped into his mind earlier seemed familiar.
After running a couple steps, Han Zhuofeng recalled that he was told the same thing when Han Zhuoli asked him to take care of Lu Man.
As the third son of the Han Family, he was truly pitiful. Despite being single, he had to take care of his sisters-in-law every day.
If his sisters-in-law were to get injured, his brothers would skin him alive.
While Han Zhuofeng was looking for Shi Xiaoya, he thought about this bitterly. Eventually, he found her and Guo Yujie.
He saw that the two were fine and were covering their heads with a bag. Still, their shoulders and the sides of their bodies were dripping wet from the rain.
But besides these things, the two were doing fine. Han Zhuofeng thus let out a sigh of relief.
“Let’s hike down,” Han Zhuofeng said.
Because the film crew didn’t want to get a shot of the stone pavement, they had intentionally chosen the backslope.
If they wanted to hike down, they would need to hike up and go around the upward slope of the mountain.
However, the backslope was a pathway of natural mountain rocks that hadn’t been cleared out by people. It was difficult to walk on this path.
It was even more dangerous on this stormy day.
“Zhiqing is still behind!” Shi Xiaoya shouted.
The rain was so heavy and the wind was so strong. Every time they opened their mouths, the wind would blow rainwater into them.
They had no choice but to shout.
“Let me take you all around here first. It is safer on the stone pavement. I will go and look for Zhiqing later,” Han Zhuofeng said. “There are too many people and it is too messy. I don’t feel safe leaving you two here by yourself.”
While Han Zhuofeng was speaking, he looked around to check if he could find Yan Zhiqing now.
And he happened to see Yan Zhiqing and Fang Qiaohan.
“I saw them,” Han Zhuofeng said.
Shi Xiaoya saw them as well. She then said, “Let’s go to Zhiqing together.”
Han Zhuofeng nodded. He was initially worried that they wouldn’t be able to find them because it was too chaotic and there were too many people.
However, since they saw her, they might as well stay with her.
And so, Han Zhuofeng took care of Shi Xiaoya and Guo Yujie and the entire group started walking towards Yan Zhiqing.
Yan Zhiqing saw Shi Xiaoya as well.
She happened to see Shi Xiaoya waving at her and calling out, “Zhiqing, this way.”
Yan Zhiqing and Fang Qiaohan thus started walking towards them.
However, it was hard to navigate this pathway. Not only was it muddy, but there were also rocks blocking the pathway. If they weren’t careful, they would trip and fall. It was very dangerous.
And so, the two didn’t dare to walk fast.
The film crew members were carrying their machines and rushing forward. The size of the machines was even bigger than a person.
Unfortunately, one happened to encounter Yan Zhiqing and Guo Yujie.
Because the machine was too big, the person carrying it could barely see. He could only see where his feet were stepping and a little bit of the pathway in front. He did not see Yan Zhiqing and Fang Qiaohan who were at the side.
The person carrying the machine had no idea that he was about to knock Yan Zhiqing over when he was rushing forward.
Yan Zhiqing and Fang Qiaohan didn’t see him at all.
Suddenly, Yan Zhiqing felt something bump one of her shoulders.
Yan Zhiqing felt pain in her shoulder and started staggering as a result.
She leaned forward with her back bent.
She was about to fall.
The ground was full of sharp rocks. If she were to fall, it would be lucky if she didn’t hurt her face.
However, she would still be injured.
Her arms and legs would be bruised.
Fang Qiaohan rushed to pull Yan Zhiqing back, but someone moved even faster than she did.
Yan Zhiqing couldn’t even control herself. She closed her eyes and accepted her fate. She was waiting to fall and was hoping that the injuries would not be too bad.
She could feel herself falling down and she was hopelessly ready for the severe pain.
Yet, unexpectedly, someone caught her halfway.
She did not feel any of the pain she had imagined. Instead, she fell into a pair of strong arms and against a firm chest.
The chest was soaking wet. Because the rain was falling so heavily, so much rain was splashing over his body. The rain also caused a smell of dirt to emanate everywhere, and this smell overpowered his body scent.
When Yan Zhiqing opened her eyes, the person had already helped her up.
She looked up and saw that the person who had saved her was Wei Wucai.
The first thing Wei Wucai had done was search for Yan Zhiqing.
When he heard Shi Xiaoya shout, he became certain of Yan Zhiqing’s whereabouts.
And he immediately started rushing over here.
At that moment, he couldn’t even bother to think about whether he still needed to let her avoid him.
Obviously, her safety was of the utmost priority.
Unexpectedly, when he was about to get closer to her, he saw Yan Zhiqing getting bumped and about to fall.
At that moment, Wei Wucai felt his heart jump out of his chest.
His mind went blank. He couldn’t think about anything.
He just stared at Yan Zhiqing and started running towards her.
The weight of the mud held his feet down. However, this was nothing to Wei Wucai.
When he was at the Mount Lan Compound, he would have to hike up and down the mountain every morning.
When he was training back then, he also had to tie bags of iron sand around his lower legs.
He trained often on mountains like this.
This path might have been difficult for others, but it was nothing for Wei Wucai.
It was just like level ground.
And so, Wei Wucai managed to catch Yan Zhiqing in time.
“How are you? Are you hurt?” Wei Wucai asked hastily.
Yan Zhiqing shook her head and answered, “I am fine.”
At this point in time, she didn’t expect Wei Wucai to make a timely rescue.
It seemed like he was always the one to appear first if she was in danger.
The person carrying the machine knew that he had bumped into someone. He immediately stopped and apologized. “Miss Yan, I am so sorry. I didn’t see you. It was an accident.”
Seeing that he was carrying the machine and struggling to move, Yan Zhiqing answered, “It’s fine. I know. You be careful too.”
He then apologized again and again. Yan Zhiqing once again expressed that it was okay and asked him to leave quickly and stop standing there with the machine.
The person then quickly left with the machine on his shoulder.
“Let’s go.” At this moment, Yan Zhiqing couldn’t be bothered to avoid Wei Wucai anymore. She spoke to Wei Wucai frankly.
Plus, after such a long time of avoiding him and after seeing him again, she couldn’t bear to avoid him any longer.
Although she had seen him every day, she had been looking at him from afar.
She hadn’t been this close.
And she was finally so close to him. Yan Zhiqing realized that she hadn’t felt this in such a long time.
She realized that she was missing this so much.
She was not the only one who felt this way. Wei Wucai felt the same as well.
Yan Zhiqing thought that she had been secretly looking at Wei Wucai, but she had no idea that Wei Wucai had intentionally been looking away from her whenever she was looking at him.
