With a smirk tugging at the corners of her lips, Xi Yue spoke, her tone light but sharp, “Move aside, don’t waste my time—I need to get back to Skyrise City.”
“You—!” Elder Liang was so angry that he stumbled backward, but there was nothing he could do.
Elder Yu noticed the group still hesitating. Meanwhile, Xi Yue was resolute and completely indifferent. She showed no sign of hesitation to leave.
A wave of urgency swept through him. Remembering the unique nature of the Water Medicine Class Three, he clenched his teeth and finally spoke up, “If none of you are willing to accept Xi Yue’s request, then I’ll have no choice but to let her go. However, the Water Medicine Class Three cannot remain without an instructor. Until a new instructor is found, each of you will take turns guiding the class.”
“What? Are you kidding me?”
“No! I don’t want to teach those devils! I don’t even want to step into that teaching building!”
Dr. Mei’s expression changed drastically. “Elder Yu, are you just joking? Do you think I have to teach that class too?”
Elder Yu sternly stated, “Of course. No one is exempted, not even me and Elder Liang!”
The crowd’s expressions shifted between pale and dark. In the end, all eyes turned to Xi Yue. Elder Liang let out a deep sigh, his gaze locking onto her. “Fine,” he said reluctantly, “We agree to your request.”
When it came down to it, the Soul Essence Fruit was nothing compared to their lives!
Mei Shuhai gritted his teeth, his glare fixed on Xi Yue. “You’ve already accepted so much reward. What happens if you back out halfway?”
Xi Yue raised an eyebrow and snickered. “I’ll pay you back twice as much!”
Great! Mei Shuhai’s face twisted into a malicious grin. No instructor had ever lasted more than six months in the Water Medicine Class Three. He was eager to see just how long Xi Yue would manage to hold on.
If she couldn’t hold on, the Soul Essence Fruit she had taken would have to be returned double. By then, she’d have plenty of tears to shed!

But she immediately snapped out of it, her expression changed drastically. Then, she turned around and bolted away without thinking.
Her movements were swift. In the blink of an eye, she was at the door. But just as her hand touched the handle, a cold, powerful presence suddenly enveloped her from behind, trapping her completely. ŔА₦𝐨ʙΕ§
Immediately afterward, a cold hand gripped her slender wrist, spinning her around and slamming her against the door with a harsh thud. The man’s imposing figure loomed over her, his burning gaze fixed on her as his chilling breath slowly mingled with a searing heat, brushing against her face. It felt as though he might consume her whole right then.
