Chapter 907: To Be Beaten By A Guide

Lu Li had four people stand in the first row, three in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth. This was the perfect formation for ten people.
The back row could move forward to replace the front row when they needed to rest, while the healers could remain focused on their task.
“This guide is so basic; there’s no skill involved in it at all,” Wandering said, unable to hold in his thoughts. He felt like even a three-year-old knew would be able to do this.
“Even though it’s simple, it doesn’t mean it’s easy to think up. People often like to complicate things.”
Lu Li and the others were still a little under-levelled, so many of the guides weren’t suitable for them.
Without Lu Li, it would probably take about a month for someone to think up a childish guide like this.
“Life has no meaning. Only death can reveal the truth of humanity…”
After a long and arduous battle, Baron Rivendare no longer looked like a proud aristocrat, but the words from his mouth were still philosophical.
The battle would be all but over after the next wave, but his mount had joined the fight, which made things troublesome. Lu Li asked Wandering to aggro it while everyone continued to attack Baron Rivendare. They
The strongest Boss of the zone had finally been taken down. He did go into Berserk mode in the end, but they only lost two players.
Lu Li still resurrected them, even though they had enough players to end the fight.
“Sometimes, death is the best salvation…”
“Goodbye, Azeroth!”
The light in Baron Rivendare’s eyes began to fade away as he died once again. Although he would awaken again not long in the future under the Lich King’s power, this had nothing to do with Lu Li and the others anymore.
The words he had uttered before he died almost moved everyone to forgive him for his downfall, but ithey weren’t enough for them to actually spare him.
Lonesome Flower leveled up to level 47 and was now only a little behind Lu Li. It seemed like he needed to kill all the Bosses in the Blood Zone to reach level 48. On the bright side, both him and Sesame Rice Ball received a skill point this time.
The rest of it all came down to Remnant Dream.
It was a strange sight. The others weren’t as anxious as Lu Li, who had begun to show some mixed expressions on his face.
This wasn’t hard too understand after some thought.
Baron Rivendare had been too easy. Who would’ve thought that this famous level 50 boss would be taken down by them in one attempt? The guide had made things too simple, so they all subconsciously thought that he wouldn’t drop anything decent.
As for the mount, Lu Li had already given them a heads up about the drop rate.
“Magic, magic, magic…” After performing her pre-looting ritual, Remnant Dream pulled out a sword with her hands.
“Is this a Legendary equip?!” Azure Sea Breeze exclaimed. They had only seen Dark Gold grade equips so far in this dungeon. Although dungeon Bosses were inferior to Wild Bosses, they had still taken the First Clear.
Lu Li was anxious as well, because the one of the swords that Baron Rivendare dropped was a Legendary one indeed.
Even if they didn’t loot the mount, the sword would compensate for it.
However, Lu Li was soon left disappointed.
This was indeed one of Baron Rivendare’s swords, but it wasn’t the sword he was looking for.
The sword that they looted was a single-handed weapon with a skinny body. It lacked the dark radiance of the Legendary sword and didn’t look all too impressive. The attributes were much weaker as well.
“Skullforge Reaver, Dark Gold, single-handed sword – who wants it?” Remnant Dream asked.
This item was still quite decent, since it was a Dark Gold grade. The special effects weren’t terrible either, but since everyone was anticipating a Legendary equip, they were all quite disappointed..
Most of them could equip single-handed swords, but none of them actually wanted to take it.
It wasn’t a good habit to waste things, so Lu Li decided to place it in the guild storage in exchange for points for everyone.
No one was too hopeful for what was to come next.
“Dreadmist Leggings, Dark Gold… set!”
Remnant Dream instantly became excited. With the knowledge she had by now, it wasn’t hard for her to calculate the value of this piece. As expected, when everyone heard that this was part of a set, they all gathered around.
“What class? Is it mine?” Azure Sea Breeze desperately wanted a set too.
“Warrior sets usually have names that had something to do with courage; this isn’t yours. Dreadmist is a Warlock set,” Lu Li explained, then continued, “Warriors have the Courage set, Priests have the Sincerity set, Paladins have the Lightforge set, Hunters have the Beast Tamer set, Shamans have the Elemental set, Druids have the Heart of Nature set, Mages have the Scholar set and Thieves have the Shadow set…”
NPCs often mentioned this and some books even drew out their styles.
“Thank you, Dreamy,” Sesame Rice Ball said happily as he handed her 20 gold for it.
It wasn’t unreasonable for Remnant Dream to take some tips; there were plenty of players who had asked her to loot Bosses for them. With consent from Lu Li, Remnant Dream had gone out to help Drizzle Court kill a level 50 boss. She ended up looting a Legendary item, as well as three Dark Gold equips. As their agreement stated, Drizzle Court gave Ruling Sword 1600 gold coins in exchange for her service.
Even if she left Ruling Sword, Remnant Dream would still be a rich girl if she helped people loot Bosses.
There were too many guilds out there who wanted her, and even her parents often got harassed for this.
“Synthetic Stone – magic damage increased by 5%.”
While 5% didn’t seem like a lot, it was still a noticeable improvement. No one would even consider using it unless it was for a Dark Grade or above weapon.
“Skill book – Icy Veins,” Remnant Dream announced as she pulled out a fourth item. Everyone besides Lonesome Flower were disappointed, like a balloon that had lost its air.
Ice Veins, instant cast: Accelerates your spellcasting for 20 sec, granting 20% casting speed increase and preventing damage from delaying your spells. Cooldown 30 minutes, current skill level 0/5.
This was most useful in situations where there were a lot of monsters or when a Boss was dealing group damage. That way, the user’s spell cast time would not be delayed or interrupted by taking damage.
