Lu Li cursed their common enemy with Madame Eva, who had just received her Ghost Hairs.
"Child, without a doubt, you're a Warrior. I can only age away, sitting in this house as I pray for your safety in silence. I've spent a lot of effort to make this item. Hopefully, you'll be able to wear it and kill more Scourge monsters," she sighed.
Lu Li took the item, which was a beautifully-crafted pair of Gloves.
Scourge Counter (Gold): Armor +40, Agility +30, Strength +16, Critical Strike +10%. Special effect 1: Deal 30% increased damage to Scourge units. Special effect 2: Certain chance of dealing three-times damage when your health drops below 30%. Level Requirement 40, Durability 84/84.
Lu Li was still using his level 15 Gloves from the Death Mines.
Van Cleef's Grip (Silver): Armor +20, Agility +12, Strength +4. Special Effect 1: Critical Chance +5%. Special Effect 2: Sudden Thrust. Instantly dash to a target within 8 feet causing 150% Weapon Damage, Cooldown Time: 120 seconds. Level Requirement: LV15. Durability: 45/45.
To be honest, this equipment was already below-average. If it weren't for the special effects, Lu Li wouldn't have kept it until now.
He had a wider range of mobility effects now, so he didn't need Sudden Thrust as much. If he switched his current Gloves to the Scourge Counter, his damage would see a noticeable increase.
This also meant that he would have new options for training areas.
There were Scourge monsters everywhere in the Plaguelands, and these Gloves boosted his damage by 30% against them. In addition to his Assassin gear, his leveling rate would be extraordinary.
However, Lu Li had to complete the Worgen's quest first.
Previously, Lu Li had used the Worgen's altar to level up his ring. He had agreed to complete The Curse of the Worgen quest within three months. If he failed the quest, he would be dropped three levels as punishment.
If a quest came with such a heavy punishment, it was implied that the rewards would be excellent.
Ideally, he would receive skill points – Lu Li wasn't in need of more equipment at the moment. He had even used his backup skill points on Blind already.
To complete the quest, he just needed one Moongrass potion.
There were three prerequisites to obtain the Moongrass potion. Besides an Artisan-leveled alchemist, you also needed the materials and the recipe.
If Lu Li remembered correctly, the recipe required the Artisan Alchemist to have a proficiency level of 260 to learn it. Sesame Rice Ball had only just reached level 250, so there were still another 10 bars of Trade Skill experience that he needed to fill up.
During this time, he planned to steal the recipe first.
Of course, it would be more difficult if he attempted to steal it by himself. Lu Li spent some guild points to assign some Thieves onto the task.
The Gnolls in Badlands were in trouble.
As soon as they refreshed, they were robbed and killed before they even had time to lament over their losses.
"I got it! I got it!" a Thief cheered as he cancelled his Stealth.
The whole process had only taken around 20 minutes. If Lu Li was by himself today, there was no guarantee that he would even find it before gaming time was over. These were the benefits that came with money and power.
After the recipe came the materials.
One of the main materials was the Ghost Mushroom. Lu Li had looted some from Maraudon, so all that he needed to consider was the other material, Moongrass.
Moongrass was a rare material that didn't refresh often. Since he couldn't find it in the Auction, Lu Li had to gather it himself.
His chose to search for it in Wyrmbog. This couldn't be helped as Moongrass was very useful and was scarce because it had been picked out in other areas. Only in places like Wyrmbog where the player population remained low would there be a chance of finding it.
Of course, this was what the game company stated. In reality, this was the only place where Moongrass refreshed.
After the Worgen race became available, Moongrass would become even more precious. Many people would risk it all in searching for it, as it was an expensive commodity.
The more troublesome part of this expedition was his level. Many of the monsters here were level 50 and there were even some Elites.
It wasn't very realistic for Lu Li to murder his way in – if Emberstrife appeared, even the entire Ruling Sword wouldn't be able to do much.
Wyrmbog was a part of the Dustwallow Marsh map.
The Dustwallow Marsh was as its name suggested – a foul marsh, overrun by grass, bushes and willows.
The road through the marsh was wet and dangerous. Those who attempted to cross it on foot would sink into the thick mud. The number of players who had died in the marsh was almost equivalent to those killed by monsters.
Lu Li also needed to be aware of the monsters that hid under the water or behind the bushes. They were set by the system to have a strong urge to attack, and they didn't mind grouping together either.
After he spent some time persevering through the marsh, Lu Li finally reached the entrance to Wyrmbog.
Wyrmbog was probably the only location where the nest of a black dragon rested against the habitat of Humans and Tauren. The giant Emberstrife managed the daily lives of the black dragons in his nest. However, even a strong existence as himself was a servant to Onyxia.
Onyxia was the black dragon princess.
She hid under a false, noble identity in Stormwind City, corrupting the government from within. However, was found by Marshal Reginald Windsor and became a wanted character in Azeroth.
In the depths of the marsh was a giant dungeon – Onyxia's Lair.
Because of the fact that the dungeon could drop the Onyxia Dragon mount, it was very popular amongst the players.
However, this was something that could only be considered after reaching level 50. At the moment, any monster inside could easily kill Lu Li, and he had no intentions of visiting the princess either.
He was only interested in picking a few plants and leaving.
After preparations were made, Lu Li snuck into Wyrmbog and soon encountered the most common monsters in the area – Dragonspawn.
Dragonspawn weren't real dragons and they weren't the products of cross-culture romance either. They were simply creatures created by dragon magic.
These elites were level 48, which was five levels higher than Lu Li.
This was a gap that left Lu Li very helpless. If he tried to fight these monster, he would be lucky to even deal half of his usual damage.
