Chapter 513 - Purifiers Continued
"Purifiers, huh?" Monk's eyes glittered, darting left and right as a multitude of thoughts crossed his mind.
Putting a new smile on his face he patted Med's back, "Thanks, brother. Stick with me in the next fight and I'll make sure nothing happens to you," with a wink he offered the one thing he knew Med wanted to hear the most.
Even though Med was quite an informed individual, he was a pacifist that had never even killed a fly. To force someone like him in a battle where life and death would be decided in a matter of seconds was nothing shorter of a death sentence for him.
Med seemed visibly relieved. This was also one of the reasons he stuck with Monk so much. Monk had only joined the Temple not too long ago yet there weren't many that could defeat him in a one on one fight.
He had a strong body, a potentially great bloodline once it was awakened and skills that could only be acquired in the heat of battle. Not to mention his spear arts were already enough for him to reach the Second Weapon Dao Realm "Unison" with a little more time.
All these factors combined, it was only a matter of time until he caught the eye of one of the elders or senior students and was invited to join a strong power within the Temple.
"Hahaha, thanks brother, I appreciate it. In return, if you ever want to know anything just ask," Med almost jumped up and down in excitement.
Monk grinned and placed his arm around Med, "Well since you offered, tell me a little about the..."

Back at the tower, Dima walked up the stairs until he reached the highest floor of the tower where the girl in the white dress was sitting next to a window, admiring the night moon. (Mentioned in Ch 451)
There was a bowl of unique looking fruit in her embrace from which she heartily ate. Hearing Dima's footsteps, she stretched her neck as much as she could without moving her body and looked at him with a look of mild surprise.
"That was fast, I thought you were going to go fight this time," she muttered with a full mouth, slinging juices all over the place.
Dima didn't bat an eye at her childish behavior and calmly took out a handkerchief from his pocket before throwing it at her face.
He fell powerlessly on the huge gold bed at the back of the room with a sigh.
"Lady Natalia made an appearance and took charge of everything. I can't believe father wants me to marry such a prude," he complained while closing his eyes, "Just because she comes from a family of Purifiers he wants me to throw me life away. Sometimes I just want to run away..."
The girl chortled listening to him whine, "Hahaha, and go where? Who will give you refuge once they find out who your father is? And do you think the purifier girl won't come after you? Reputation is everything to these people. There is nowhere you CAN go...well, unless you join one of the other powers," she put down the bowl of fruits and turned around to face Dima with an excited expression,
"I hear the Black Swans are recruiting. Or maybe the Temple of War? Those crazy bastards will fight anyone hehe."
Dima scoffed, "There is no such thing as a free dinner. Do you think they will protect me without wanting anything in return? The temple of War won't give a shit about my status and will send me to one of their dreaded battlefields in the deep space. I heard this year's recruitment battle is near an abyss gate. God knows what kind of monstrous creatures will crawl their way out of there. The fatality rate of those battlefields is more than 70%. How people still apply every single year I will never understand."
The girl wiped her face with the handkerchief and stood up. Her pure white dress was covered in different colored spots from the fruit juices. She snapped her fingers and a white light washed away everything instantly.
She jumped up and landed on the bed, throwing Dima clean off.
"For that exact reason. People that are hiding or have nowhere else to go, or those that just want to die or even those rare crazy bastards that want to prove something to themselves, those are the people that apply every year. And why wouldn't they? The temple of War doesn't discriminate, power is power to them and the past doesn't matter as long as they vow to follow their code. For most, that is the only way to survive.. Not to mention if they catch an eye of one of the Elder Gods there, there isn't much they have to worry about."
