The Chronicles of the Immortal God

Chapter 202: Misunderstanding

Chapter 202: Misunderstanding

Underworld, one hour before the invasion.

“Then I, Wang Hao, Prince of the Underworld, commands you to stop the invasion on the Planet Thrae.” Obviously, this was the first thing that Wang Hao had asked. After all, that was the reason he agreed to be brought to the Underworld.

The hologram of the trial organizer shook his head slightly as he apologetically said,

“I’m sorry, but I think we could not revoke the invasion Your Highness.”

“What do you mean by that?” Wang Hao’s expression turned grim as he looked at the trial organizer angrily. “I thought my commands could not be ignored by anyone with a rank lower than mine. What does this mean then?”

The trial organizer had a wry smile on his face as he replied,

“Your Highness, you should remember that it was the Yama who authorized the expansion of the Underworld. That means all the invasions on the planets by the Underworld were done under the Yama’s command.” He gave Wang Hao a stare as he continued talking.

“I think your rank as Prince was lower than the Yama itself. That means, you could not stop this invasion.”

“.....” From what Wang Hao can see, this trial organizer already knew about Wang Hao’s connection with the Planet Thrae. And from the looks of it, this man was making things difficult for Wang Hao. He then looked at Sir Lawrence, who was giving Wang Hao a smug look.

Wang Hao’s heart clenched as he realized that the trial organizer was on secretly on Sir Lawrence’s side!

With his status as a Prince, the trial organizer and Sir Lawrence could not kill Wang Hao yet. The best they can do was to punish Wang Hao in some other way.

And the rejection of his request for the cancellation of the invasion was part of that ‘punishment’.

“What a hypocrite!” Wang Hao thought to himself as he gave a smile to the trial organizer. “You looked like you were protecting me from Sir Lawrence, yet you are the one gunning on to me!”

He took a deep breath as he thought to himself, “Fine, you want to play a game? Then let me join in!”

Wang Hao then tilted his head as he asked the trial organizer.

“Wait, now that Siwang Wangzi was dead, doesn’t that mean that the invasion will be cancelled too?”

“I think you are thinking this was just a simple matter your Highness.” Right now, Wang Hao could see slight traces of gloating on the trial organizer’s face. “There’s no way we will cancel the invasion because of the death of their commander. We can just simply replace Siwang Wangzi with another capable leader.”

Sir Lawrence tried to hide his schadenfreude as he saw Wang Hao being shot down by the trial organizer. He snickered a little as he thought to himself, “Your home being destroyed will be just the first part of our revenge! You will get more of it in the future!”

Wang Hao however, does not seem to be bothered by the reply of the trial organizer. Wang Hao’s face even lit up after hearing that answer. Sir Lawrence and the trial organizer started to feel that something was off when Wang Hao suddenly said,

“In that case, why don’t you make me lead the invasion then?”

“Your Highness?” The trial organizer had a confused expression on his face as he heard what Wang Hao said. “I think...”

“You think this is not allowable?” Wang Hao’s voice boomed as he loomed over the hologram of the trial organizer. “As a Prince of the Underworld, I have the obligation to conquer worlds for the Yama! That means you cannot stop me from following that obligation. Besides, with me being a Prince of the Underworld, I think there is no better choice than me to lead that invasion.

“......Your command shall be followed your Highness.” Wang Hao resisted the urge to laugh as he saw the sour looks on the faces of Sir Lawrence and the trial organizer.

Since he could not stop the invasion, then he will supervise it!

Wang Hao of course does not want to actually conquer the whole Planet Thrae. He was planning to just acquire the Solstice Kingdom. Once he does that, he will use every tricks that he can do to make the advancement of the army to be stuck in the Solstice Kingdom. That means only the Solstice Kingdom will be the actual territory of the Underworld. He will be secretly hindering the Underworld Army to stop them from expanding their territory from the Solstice Kingdom.

That way, he can show to the Underworld that he was doing something while at the same time, save the Planet Thrae from being conquered.

Wang Hao of course knew that this plan of his will eventually be discovered. But by that time, he was sure that he will already have another way to save the Planet Thrae. In the meantime, he just needed to be the best actor there is.

“Hahaha! That’s what you get for messing with me!” Wang Hao raised two of his fingers as he said,

“As for my second command, give me that tablet located in the Deathswamp Prefecture Hall.” Wang Hao knew that that mana tablet will be of a massive help for Fang Yu on her breakthrough to the Mana Circulation Stage. Him giving that tablet to Fang Yu was his obligation as her master.(How about Fang Lin?)

“Your Highness, you mean that tablet for breakthrough to the Mana Circulation Stage?” The trial organizer frowned as he interjected. “That tablet will be useless for us souls since we cultivate our soul bodies. I think that it will be of no use to you, Your Highness.”

“So that was the reason why the tablet despite its abilities, was not stolen from that place. After all, nobody in the Underworld can use that tablet due to the difference in their cultivation techniques.” Wang Hao thought as he began giving the trial organizer a reply.

“So what if it was useless? I want to take it, since that was the first treasure I saw since I arrived here in the Underworld. I want to take that as my memorabilia.”

“Understood.” The trial organizer then seemed to talk to another person, clearly giving that other person some instructions regarding that mana tablet.

Minutes passed by, and Wang Hao saw a skeletal bird approaching their sprit ship. The bird was twice the ship in size, with its wingspan long enough to cover the whole body of the ship. On its beak, Wang Hao could see the mana tablet.

Wang Hao smiled, quite happy that he can now give Fang Yu something useful. “Take that, Xiao Ya!” He thought smugly.

Wang Hao then gave the trial organizer an impressed look as he put the mana tablet on his spatial pocket.

“That was quick.”

“We were just lucky that the Deathswamp Prefecture Hall was near us right now. That made it possible for the tablet to be carried here.”

“That near? Then drop me and Old Billy off at the portal for the invasion to the Planet Thrae. From what know, its just also nearby. With the speed of this ship, it might take around 10 minutes for us to arrive there.” Wang Hao abruptly said.

“Wait Your Highness, does that mean you want to start the invasion now?” The trial organizer trembled as he tried to stop Wang Hao. “But you still have to attend the awarding ceremony!”

“In case you do not know, Siwang Wangzi promised that he and the 13th Batallion will be going back there after 12 hours. Now, there’s only around 30 minutes before that time limit. If the army does not arrive at that time, I think Siwang Wangzi’s name will be compromised. Me invading for his sake will be for the best. Consider this as my way to maintain his honor after his death.”

“..... Fine.” The ship steered as it went to the portal. Old Billy looked nervous as he gave Wang Hao a doubtful look. “Your Highness, what am I going to do there?”

“Old Billy, you just have to be my advisor in there. Do not worry, the invasion will be quick, and you will not be in any danger.”

Old Billy sighed in relief after hearing Wang Hao’s explanation. “Then I will do my best.”

Wang Hao nodded, and then his face perked up as he seemed to remember something. “Oh, now that I am a Prince of the Underworld, I want to be called in a different name. I want my name to be known as Prince Reaper.”

“Prince Reaper?”

“Yeah, from now on, I want to be called like that everywhere I go.” Wang Hao said with a nonchalant look on his face. Since Wang Hao will be going to the Planet Thrae as an enemy, he had to make sure his identity as Wang Hao there will not be discovered. That was the reason why he was donning the name of Prince Reaper.

“We have arrived now.” Wang Hao looked outside, and he saw the swirling portal. He and Old Billy was about to leave the ship when he heard someone calling out to him. He looked back, and he saw Jieshu looking at him. He then heard her asking him,

“Do you have time to visit my place later after your invasion? I will appreciate your arrival.” She ignored Fang Anwei’s angry expression as she awaited Wang Hao’s reply.

“Um.. okay.”

“Thank you.” Jieshu said as Wang Hao quickly jumped off the ship with Old Billy. She gave a gloating look to Fang Anwei, who just glared in reply.

Huo Huangdi shook his head, muttering,

“That lucky guy!”

Wang Hao’s transition as the commander of the 13th Battalion was smooth. He used his status as a Prince to quell any disagreement for his arrival. As for Merlick, Siwang Wangzi’s advisor, Wang Hao had his clothes stripped, with Merlick being thrown into the prison. He gave these clothes to Old Billy, who suddenly looked more dashing and respectable.

Once all of these were done, he and his army marched towards the Solstice Kingdom.

As they went out the portal, they saw the majority of the able-bodied fighters all gathered in one place. He saw Fang Lin’s fellow disciples, along with the rebels and the Fang Clan members.

He suddenly felt his backlash disappearing, which means he can now use all his abilities again.

Wang Hao then wasted no time he used his energy sense to look for Fang Lin and Fang Yu’s aura. He frowned as he felt that their auras were weak.

He looked at where their auras came from and he saw that it was coming from Fang Xiushang! With his energy sense, Wang Hao felt Fang Lin and Fang Yu’s auras being suppressed by Fang Xiushang’s overflowing aura.

That just proves Wang Hao’s suspicion that Fang Xiushang kidnapped Fang Yu and Fang Lin!

“This bastard! You think hiding my disciples in your spatial pocket will keep them hidden? With my energy sense, I could feel their weak auras from you! Damn you Fang Xiushang! I will make you pay for what you did to my disciples!” Wang Hao was not able to stop his killing intent from focusing on Fang Xiushang. That was how angry Wang Hao was right now.

Moments passed by, and he realized he could not take it anymore. He used some of the gravitational energy he absorbed from the trial mountain and used it here. With his power at the Second Stage, Wang Hao’s pressure field was able to restrain almost everyone, since their strengths were all at the First Stage, except for those with great talent.

Wang Hao then used this chance to attack Fang Xiushang. He used his torture swords, planning to torment this bastard to make him release his disciples. As for killing him, Wang Hao will leave that to his disciples in the future.

But as he was about to attack, Wang Hao heard Fang Xiushang muttering about the Dao of Harem.

Wang Hao knew that the only one he talked about the Dao of Harem with was with his disciple Fang Lin. He stilled, realizing that this Fang Xiushang might have actually tortured Fang Lin and Fang Yu for all the information they can give!

Wang Hao could just imagine the agony and pain that Fang Lin and Fang Yu underwent that forced them to give up even the minute details of their conversation with Wang Hao.

Wang Hao’s vision turned black as the only thing on his mind right now was the unstoppable urge to kill Fang Xiushang. Forget torturing him, Wang Hao wants to eradicate Fang Xiushang’s soul into nothingness!

He then focused all the energy he can on his swords as he muttered,

“Young man, how do you want to die?”

He let out a silent roar as he sent both of his swords slashing towards Fang Xiushang!
