The Chronicles of the Immortal God

Chapter 113: Reversal

Chapter 113: Reversal

Upon reaching the gates of the capital city, Ling Tian saw Wang Hao and Princess Eleanor.

The rumors talking about Princess Eleanor’s beauty was true beyond without a doubt. Ling Tian, however, had no time to be immersed in such beauties. His experience with his dao-partner made him wary of any females.

He realized that it was those who were the most beautiful that were the most poisonous.

After the betrayal of the two closest persons to him, he swore to himself to be more vigilant against everyone in his second life. Having fewer acquaintances was preferable over being backstabbed by some.

Ling Tian then focused his sight on Wang Hao. Wang Hao was chubby and seemed to be ill-fit for combat. But Ling Tian had scoured some information about this Wang Hao during the Disciple Selection.

He knew that Wang Hao was with Fang Lin when they arrived at the Immortal God Sect. Not only that, but he had an Immortal God Sect Token with him. When he tried to ask for the token’s appearance, Ling Tian was surprised.

Hoe could he not be? He personally knew that the only token with such design belongs to Xiao Ya!

...............

In his past life, Ling Tian and Xiao Ya can be considered to be rivals. They had countless battels, 158 in fact. 79 for Ling Tian and 79 for Xiao Ya.

These battles were all private. The only public match that everyone knew was the 158th match were Ling Tian managed to get his 79th win. What happened after this match was the betrayal that killed Ling Tian.

In his second life, Ling Tian tried to inquire on what Xiao Ya did after his death. To his surprise, Xiao Ya told everyone that their public match before his death was their only match. This further cemented his status as a genius.

Ling Tian knew this was Xiao Ya’s way to grieve for her rival. As for her personality, Ling Tian may actually know her even better than Tang Luo.

He knew that she always had a design quirk on her personal properties. Only a few people knew about this quirk. When he heard that the token Wang Hao held had this design, Ling Tian knew that Wang Hao had a deep connection with Xiao Ya.

He then dug further. It was then that he discovered that Fang Lin, Wang Hao and even Fang Yu were rescued by the Feng Clan from the Mystical Forest.

Upon some more deductions, Ling Tian realized that something was fishy between Fang Lin and Fang Yu. Of course, the Fang Clan were also suspicious of Fang Yu. But due to her status as Xiao Ya’s Successor Disciple, they had no way to get close to her.

But Ling Tian was different. He had been invited by Xiao Ya on her room during his past life. It was not for that kind of ‘things’ though. She gave Ling Tian a sword that she bet on one of their duels. She lost, so she had to give the sword privately. So, she used the room as the private place.

With his past memories, Ling Tian knew how to easily infiltrate Xiao Ya’s room. Once he was inside the room, he planted some specially-made sound recording artifacts. With his knowledge of artifact making, he was able to create sound-recording artifacts that can evade even Xiao Ya’s Divine Sense!

He will then come and collect these sound-recording artifacts once they were no people in the room.

The sounds that he heard from these artifacts were nonetheless entertaining.

Most of these sounds managed to arouse Ling Tian so much that he had to employ the help of his ‘friend’ just to satisfy himself.

The artifacts perfectly recorded the pleased moans and the urgent grunts of both Fang Yu and Tang Ya. He can also hear a consistent slapping sound.

“Pa! Pa! Pa!”

Of course, Ling Tian felt guilty upon hearing their clearly private activity. But who would have thought they have the gall to do it everyday on Xiao Ya’s room? But once he managed to endure those enticing sounds, he managed to get the jackpot.

He discovered about Fang Yu’s and Fang Lin’s Godly Divine Beast Bloodline! He also discovered that Wang Hao was actually a powerful being reduced to a weaker state.

Ling Tian knew that he hit the jackpot this time. But he knew that Xiao Ya was one of those who sincerely was his friend. That means he had to lay-off on her disciple Fang Yu. But Ling Tian thought that he can teach Fang Yu some important lessons. Hence, her house arrest.

But aside from that, he had no further plans to torment Fang Yu. Unless, she decided to mess with him. Even though she was a woman and a disciple of his former friend, Ling Tian will not hesitate to strike back once Fang Yu bares her fangs to him.

But from what he can see now, Fang Lin and Fang Yu were relatively dumb compared to him and Wang Hao. Any pathetic attempts of Fang Yu can be easily seen through by Ling Tian.

For example: Right now, while they were facing Wang Hao, Fang Yu had herself positioned in front of the disciples. She was discreetly looking at Wang Hao while her fingers were moving.

“Silly girl, you wanted to communicate to Wang Hao using your fingers? You’re too naïve.” Ling Tian smiled as he stepped forward. He managed to easily block Fang Yu from Wang Hao’s view. He held a chuckle as he heard Fang Yu gritting her teeth.

He then smiled at Wang Hao as he said,

“What you have done now is too much. The sect was willing to shelter you even though you had been implicated by the murders of three Princes of the Tian Ji Empire. But what you did now was stretching your limits.”

“Wait-” Before Fang Yu could speak up for Wang Hao, Ling Tian continued his speech.

“You showed to everyone here that Princess Eleanor was with your company. That’s an undeniable evidence that you kidnapped her. Even the sect cannot cover you up anymore. But what was worse was you even had the gall to lead a rebellion against the Solstice Kingdom!”

He hid his grin as he said,

“You even attempted to have us all killed! Now, you managed to offend every power near you today. Even if you plead, your death is already certain.”

Ling Tian felt thrilled as he realized he managed to corner a powerful being!

Wang Hao just smiled enigmatically upon hearing Ling Tian’s rousing speech. Upon seeing this, Ling Tian felt chills across his whole body. He looked at his side, and he saw the members of the Skydome Family arriving.

Ling Tian then realized that the rebels can only be repelled with the full cooperation of the Skydome Family and the Immortal God Sect Disciples. If they do not cooperate, it will be the win of the rebels.

“In that case....” Ling Tian’s eyes lit up as he knew what Wang Hao was planning.

Ling Tian then shouted loudly for everyone to hear.

“So, you want us and the Skydome Family to lose trust with each other! I have seen through your plan already! Whatever you say now will just be seen by everyone here as a foolish attempt to destroy our cooperation!”

Ling Tian knew that Wang Hao had no way to reverse this situation now. Anything he says now will just bounce of harmlessly.

The person leading the entourage of the Skydome Family stepped forward. His robes indicated that he was a Prince of the Tian Ji Empire. He gave a respectful and appreciative nod to Ling Tian. This Prince then looked at Wang Hao as he solemnly said,

“Any last words you want to say before your death?”

“Well.... I just want to say thanks to all the Immortal God Sect Disciples here.” Wang Hao said sheepishly. “You all have been a great help to me.”

Upon hearing this, Ling Tian realized what Wang Hao was about to say. But before he could interrupt him, Wang Hao managed to spit his trump card.

“All 23 of you were a great help for the assault on the Solstice Kingdom! If not for your assistance, the Raiders might have a longer time succeeding!”

Wang Hao then looked at the Skydome Family hungrily. He cracked his knuckles as he said, “Not only that, we also managed to lure a Prince of the Tian Ji Empire here! Now move fast and kill him before he escapes! That makes our record to be 4 dead Princes!”

“No!’ Ling Tian knew that even they were innocent, the Skydome Family will now treat all 23 of them as Wang Hao’s accomplices.

The Skydome Family evidently panicked upon hearing Wang Hao’s confession. Their auras flared as they gathered protectively around the Prince. They pointed their weapons towards both the Raiders and the Immortal God Sect Disciples!

“Protect the Prince!”

“Damn you Wang Hao!” Ling Tian screamed as prepared himself to fight. The other disciples looked at Wang Hao angrily as they raised their weapons. They knew they had no escape now.

“Well, that’s what you get for scheming against me. If I fall down, then please go down with me too.”
