Chapter 782 - 782 Hostage
782 Hostage
Elder Nie snorted in response. Did the boy really believe that he’d just up and tell them? He could die right here and then, and he still wouldn’t give them the password.
If he did, it would mean that he had betrayed his own Pavilion.
Yao Tang didn’t seem bothered by his refusal. Instead, she swiped the phone a couple of times when a sound echoed across the forests. The phone was finally unlocked.
“All done.”
This ultimately shattered Elder Nie’s confidence.
“Thieves!” he roared, trashing around the ground. “Give me back my phone!”
However, no one paid any attention to him.
Yao Tang swiped around the phone, staring at the contents.
During this time, Elder Nie remembered someone saying that the girl’s phone still had a signal. He pursed his lips, glancing up at her in confusion.
He didn’t really believe it back then.
However, the phone must’ve been a special piece of equipment given to her by the elders. That must’ve been why she still had a signal despite being brought to a deserted area.
Even then, something still wasn’t right!
If it really had been given by these old men, how could Yao Tang be so familiar with electronic devices? How could she be this fast in cracking his phone’s defenses?
He had it fixed by an expert. Even specialists would have a hard time cracking the data.
Yao Tang was just a high school student.
Could it be that she was also an expert in the field?
Who was she?
Was she really a newcomer?
Yao Tang was extremely powerful. Not only did she have the mental power to match her elders, but she was also an expert in electronic equipment. The girl possessed so many skills.
She obviously wasn’t an ordinary person.
“Who exactly are you?” Elder Nie finally shouted. “What do you want? What are you looking for?”
“Me?” She shrugged. “I’m a high school student. You should’ve known that by now.”
A high school student? That was all she had to say?
Elder Nie gritted his teeth.
Yeah, right!
Would an ordinary high school student be able to crack his heavily encrypted phone? Would an ordinary high school student be able to match him and send him lying on the ground?
Even if she didn’t include these achievements, then her martial arts skills would’ve still ranked her in the top spots!
How could he not know her?
The way she said that she was only an ordinary high school student…was she playing with him?
His jaw clenched.
In the next second, he spat out another mouthful of blood.
“Pfft!”
A large pool of blood spread out from his side, and when he looked down, he saw that his clothes were already in tatters. He appeared so much paler than he had been as blood trickled down the corner of his mouth.
The only thing preventing him from falling back on the ground was his arms.
His eyes narrowed.
At that point, Yao Tang paid no heed to him as she scrolled down the phone. There was a number that he had contacted much more frequently than the rest. In fact, he had contacted him three times today.
She smirked.
Tang.
That was the his surname.
Yao Tang dialed the number and put it up against her ear.
Within a few seconds, someone answered,
“Elder Nie, I’m guessing the mission had gone successfully?” A confident voice echoed from the other end of the line. “I’ve always believed in you.”
Ha!
“Well, I guess I can say, thank you for your confidence,” Yao Tang replied.
A cold voice stunned the man into silence. It took him a while to connect the dots before he hurriedly asked, “Is Elder Nie all right? Is he there?”
Vice Pavilion Leader Tang was surprised.
How could this have happened?
“Not yet, but his life is in your hands.”
She glanced over at him.
Elder Nie quickly yelled, “Don’t worry about me! I’ll die without regrets if I have to!”
The last thing he wanted was to be the reason why they’d sacrifice more men from the Green Cloud Pavilion.
However, the decision was not in his hands.
This was between Yao Tang and Vice-President Tang.
