“That is correct. I was in the sky and saw that there was no other pathway. If you had not met them when you came, that means they are heading towards the other,” said the man.
“But, if they could become invisible, it would not matter if we chase them!” said Baron Blood.
“I think there must be some sort of gimmick to their invisibility. Why would they want to kill Frogman in the first place?”
“That… if that is true…”
Baron Blood cocked his head. What the man said made sense. If the martial artists had invisibility, they would not have to kill Frogman to cover their tracks. That could only mean that their invisibility would not work if someone was close enough. That was their flaw.
“I need to contact the boss. Let’s hear what he has to say,” said Baron Blood, relaying what he knew to Lincoln.
“If what you are telling me is true, I want you to chase after them! I will be right over!” said Lincoln full of determination. He left only a small group of Mutants to guard the beach and took the rest of the fray to chase after Jiang Fei.
“You guys take the skies. We will be on foot!” said Baron Blood. The two groups split up and headed towards Jiang Fei’s direction.
When it came to speed, the Scarlet Hunters were truly unmatched. Jiang Fei and the rest of the martial artists were treading slowly and had failed to create enough distance between them.
“Captain! I have detected a group of Enhanced Mutants heading our way! There are 30 Level 4 Pinnacle stage Mutants!” 0541 blared loudly in Jiang Fei’s mind.
“Them again?!”
Jiang Fei was aggravated. He might not meet them before but he knew that it was the same troublesome group of elite Mutants that had been a pain in his butt for so long.
In all honesty, Jiang Fei felt that these group of Mutants were the worse, hardest enemies that he had ever encountered. The other Mutants that he had encountered before were mere toddlers when compared to them.
“How far are they?”
“3,000 meters and closing. They will arrive in less than 30 seconds if we maintain our current speed,” 0541 explained.
“What the hell? That fast?”
Jiang Fei was thrown! He had never expected the enemies to be that fast on their feet. Even if everyone started to run with everything they had, the weaker Level 3 and Beginner stage of Level 4 martial artists would not be able to outrun these group of vampires that had the blood of the first progenitor of vampires in their veins.
“Stop running! Everyone!” Jiang Fei roared.
“What’s wrong? Are we safe yet?” Ding Tianqi asked.
“Get ready to fight!” Jiang Fei barked.
“What?”
“Fight? Are you serious right now? How are we supposed to fight against an army of thousands?”
…
Everyone started to grumble, especially the weaker ones.
“Brother Jiang Fei, I think we should continue changing our position. For better or worse, we could just wait until the next time to leave Japan! We cannot afford to fight right now!” said Bai Wanli, trying to talk some sense into Jiang Fei.
Jiang Fei firmed up, dropped his sword to the ground menacingly, and glared at Bai Wanli.
“There are 30 Level 4 Pinnacle stage Mutants coming our way. Besides us, how are your disciples going to outrun them? If we don’t fight now when we still have the strength, do you want to let them slaughter everyone after running until you can run anymore?”
Everyone went silent when Jiang Fei snapped angrily. The first person to break the silence was the barbaric Zhu Tianfei.
“I’ve had it with running! I’m with you, Brother Jiang Fei! Let’s fight them!” Zhu Tianfei roared.
“Me too! I shall fight them!” Ding Tianqi cheered on. Even though they dared not fight the Mutants in an all-out battle, they did not have a choice right then. It was an inevitable fight. If they ran, the weak ones would be the first to fall leaving Jiang Fei and the other elders alone.
“Very good. They are very close but we still have the element of surprise! Let’s use them well!” said Jiang Fei.
Everyone tried to hide but it was too late. The Scarlet Hunters had already arrived. Jiang Fei could already see them coming from the distance.
…
“Boss? Could they really become invisible?” one of the Scarlet Hunters asked Baron Blood.
“How should I know?”
“Tch. Even if they could, I doubt they could maintain it for long,” said another Scarlet Hunter.
“Don’t matter what they could. When we found then, we mustn’t fight. We need to wait— WHAAA–” Baron Blood could not finish his sentence. It was when he had breached into 0541’s barrier and saw a large group of martial artists waiting for them. Baron Blood was so shocked that he had lost his footing and almost fell the ground, face first.
“Fight!” Jiang Fei roared, signaling the charge.
With the power of Origin Force, Jiang Fei infused Metal energy into his blade and sliced one of the Scarlet Hunters that could not stop his momentum.
The first blood was drawn and the battle between Mutants and martial artists had started.
It was very hard for anyone to chase after these Scarlet Hunters but the elders had already prepared themselves to strike them from the shadows. It was then the Scarlet Hunters were shock and disoriented when they were caught by surprise.
“F*ck you!” Zhu Tianfei roared. Even though the man was only an Advanced stage of Level 4, he was at the peak of his stage. When the enemies were startled, he swiftly made his way to one of the enemies and delivered a powerful cleave.
“Sh*!”
The Scarlet Hunter was shocked but he was able to draw out the power of the blood of the first progenitor. He had a superhuman reaction and was able to draw out his dagger to block Zhu Tianfei’s cleave at the last second.
WHAM!
Even though he was able to block the blade from cleaving him in half, the sheer power of Zhu Tianfei was so strong that he was thrown away like a ragdoll.
Scarlet Hunters were fast and agile, however, as a tradeoff, they were not as strong physically. The Scarlet Hunter was flung away like an empty bucket while blocking a fully charged attack by Zhu Tianfei. Overall, the Scarlet Hunters were stronger than the average martial artists but they were still weak defending against powerful physical attacks.
“Time to die,” Bai Wanli whispered as he slide-stepped his way behind the Scarlet Hunter that was blown away and stabbed him through the back of his head, killing him instantly.
“No. 17!” Baron Blood roared and armed himself with his daggers.
The element of surprise was effective and most of the Scarlet Hunters were caught with their pants down. Almost every Scarlet Hunters were injured and one was killed. Even so, their overall fighting power was not affected!
“Hong Yu! Get into formation!” Jiang Fei roared.
“Yes, brother!” Hong Yu answered immediately and formed the formation with the rest of the 24 Bio-Human girls. It was sluggish but they managed to corner 5 five Scarlet Hunters and pinned them to a corner.
