Chapter 3325: Destroying Universes
Chapter 3325: Destroying Universes
Great Elder Shan Gu had told Lu Yin that their megaverse had fought a war against the Nests for an incredibly long time. It was similar to how, in the Tianyuan Megaverse, humanity had fought against Aeternus for eons. It had been impossible to completely eradicate all the Nests, and similar signs were starting to appear in the Tianyuan Megaverse.
Lu Yin had no confidence that he would ever be able to completely eliminate all Nests.
However, the fact that Shan Gu’s megaverse had managed to defeat the Nests, ultimately drawing out an invincible being, meant that the Tianyuan Megaverse could achieve a similar result. While it meant fighting a long and difficult war, their greatest obstacle remained not knowing when the Spirit Nidus’s invasion would come.
Being hemmed in by both the Spirit Nidus and the Nests meant that the Tianyuan Megaverse was facing a far greater crisis.
If there was no other way…
Lu Yin would have to take that final step.
Four years passed for the Origin Universe without much changing. For cultivators, four years was barely long enough to blink an eye. The stronger the cultivator, the more that time seemed to pass in a blur.
There had been a time when four years would have been enough for Lu Yin’s overall strength to qualitatively transform, especially if he spent that time in the Five Spirits Alliance’s universes. But at his current level, every small improvement required an incredible amount of time.
Unless he found a shortcut.
The only shortcut available to him at the moment were sequence bases.
The Rivers and Mountains Painting had shrunk to half of its original size after being consumed by Lu Yin’s inner universe. Only a small bit of the original sequence base remained, and an overwhelming number of Near and Far sequence particles had filled Lu Yin’s universe. The number surpassed what most other sequence powerhouses possessed, but that was not enough, not even close. Lu Yin needed far more sequence particles, as he needed to fill an entire universe.
One day, when his inner universe was filled with sequence particles, to the point where it resembled the final battlefield at the Immemorial Citadel, Lu Yin could not even imagine how powerful he would be.
At that time, his biggest challenge would undoubtedly be becoming an Ortuser.
Lu Yin found that he was constantly repeating the same cycle: he would fight against cultivators far beyond his own level, reach the limits of his own realm, and then surpass those limits. This was why his breakthroughs were unimaginably difficult.
This was what had happened when he had broken through to become an Explorer, an Envoy, a Semi-Progenitor, and even a Progenitor. While it would be comparatively easier for him to become a Sequence Progenitor, entering the Origin realm would be incredibly challenging.
The more sequence particles a person mastered, the harder it would be for them to enter the Origin realm.
If Lu Yin really did succeed in seizing all ten of the Spirit Nidus’s sequence bases, he could not say if he would have the courage to merge them all into his inner universe. Doing so would make his next breakthrough an unprecedented challenge.
While four years passed in the Origin Universe, 400 years had gone by in the Five Spirits Alliance’s universes. Although it seemed that little had changed, all of the tasks that Lu Yin had assigned had been completed, and some goals had even been exceeded. The synergy between all of humanity’s resources and the efforts of so many specialized experts had produced unimaginable results.
First, 100 black energy converters had been produced, but resources had continued to flow in for continued production.
Additionally, 1 million sequence detectors had been made.
As for Ye Wu, he had used his symbiotic corpses method to produce twelve more peak powerhouses. This had been done by searching various parallel universes and capturing peak powerhouses who had committed countless heinous acts.
As for the microarrays, the 108-array combination had already been successfully developed and was currently in production. Universal armors were also being mass-produced, and all of them were being equipped with Progenitor-level tools and weapons.
The Infinity Empire had succeeded in producing fifty ten-ring mechas, twenty eleven-ring mechas, and twelve twelve-ring mechas. In addition, they still had enough materials to continue making more.
A total of eight years had passed since Lu Yin had given his people their assignments, which meant that 800 years had passed in the Five Spirits Alliance’s universes. Now, the Tianyuan Megaverse had nearly 200 Progenitor-level weapons at its disposal. Their greatest hope still lay in the microarray weapons. Lu Yin's original goal had been to produce 10,000 108-array combinations, which would be a terrifying number. If they achieved that, Lu Yin was confident that his megaverse would be able to handle any crisis.
With the 108-array combinations being mass produced, Lu Yin’s goal would soon be achieved.
The strength of the Tianyuan Megaverse had skyrocketed.
The Spirit Nidus had managed to produce an unbelievable level of power through developing a unified cultivation model, which far surpassed anything the Tianyuan Megaverse possessed. However, the Tianyuan Megaverse was catching up by taking advantage of its diverse cultivation methods, as well as the accelerated passage of time. No one could say whether they would be able to match the Spirit Nidus’s power for sure, but everyone had at least started to see hope for the upcoming war.
However, before that happened, the crisis of the Nests needed to be resolved.
Such a large increase in strength required leaders.
And Lu Yin temporarily appointed those leaders.
There were 112 black energy converters available for use, and it was easy for Lu Yin to find 112 cultivators who could use those devices. Even in parallel universes where cultivation was rare, like the Transcendent Universe, it was possible to find people who could use energy converters. Finding more than a hundred suitable candidates was not difficult at all.
For the moment, those people were led by Lord Xu.
The twelve people who had become peak powerhouses through the symbiotic corpses method were supposed to be led by Ye Wu, but the man did not wish to lead anyone. Instead, Lu Yin had Big Sis take charge of them.
The fifty people from the Scourge Occupation who could wield Progenitor-level destructive power were similarly supposed to be led by E' Nan, as they were his people, but he also declined. This was not because he was unwilling, but rather because the Scourge Occupation's style of combat was too limited. E' Nan wanted his people to be led by an expert who could compensate for their limitations.
Lu Yin agreed and assigned them to Mu Shen.
As for the Infinity Empire's mechas, they were tasked with staying behind to protect the empire and the connections between the various parallel universes. Additional mechas were then placed under Ce Wangtian's command. The Progenitor had personally made this request to Lu Yin, claiming that he could not remain idle. Lu Yin suspected that the request was actually because of Big Sis.
Big Sis had been constantly making trouble for Ce Wangtian, and he was trying to avoid her.
Finally, there was the Tianyuan Army.
This was the name that Lu Yin had given to the army of cultivators who were equipped with microarray technology. This army was reminiscent of the Heavens Corps, but it was far more powerful. The Heavens Corps had already been integrated into the Tianyuan Army.
The Tianyuan Army was equipped with Tianyuan Armor, which was universal armor that could withstand 108-array combination microarray weapons. Lu Yin's original goal had been to produce 10,000 armors, but the scarcity of resources meant that only a bit more than 3,000 had been produced. The extra armors had been distributed to other cultivators, such as the people who had been given black energy converters. The Tianyuan Army would only consist of 3,000 soldiers.
An army of 3,000 soldiers who each wielded the power of a peak powerhouse was a terrifying concept.
Lu Tianyi was to be the commander of that army.
Each commander was assigned to help Lu Yin with communications and command. While his forces were not even 10,000 strong, their potential power far exceeded what most people could even imagine. It was impossible to fully integrate these forces for unified deployment, and that would also go against Lu Yin's original intentions.
There was no way to know how many of these soldiers would survive the war against the Spirit Nidus.
Production steadily continued in the Five Spirits Alliance’s universes. Many parallel universes prioritized gathering various resources, which meant that valuable materials were constantly being sent to the Five Spirits Alliance.
In the Heavens Sect, Lu Yin assigned a new task to Lord Xu and the other commanders: destroy parallel universes.
There were many parallel universes with no sapient life. During the Heavens Sect era, the Origin Progenitor had accepted disciples who had eventually become the Three Realms and Six Daos. He had accepted those disciples, and even created the Heavens Sect, all to get help destroying parallel universes. This pruning would prevent the megaverse from collapsing under the weight of an overabundance of parallel universes.
At the moment, the Origin Progenitor was suppressing sequence strings at the Immemorial Citadel because of the overwhelming number of parallel universes.
Ten years earlier, Lu Yin had already started sending out cultivators in search of parallel universes without sapient life, specifically to destroy them. Some universes that did contain sapient life were also targeted, and there were plans to relocate their inhabitants before the universes were destroyed.
Over the course of ten years, many universes had been found, and all of their locations had been confirmed.
Upon receiving their orders, Lord Xu, Big Sis, Mu Shen, and Ce Wangtian all separated to carry out their missions.
No one was aware of just how many Progenitor-level powerhouses the Heavens Sect had reared. While many of these people could not be regarded as true peak powerhouses, and even though they could not defeat a peak powerhouse cultivator in a one-on-one fight, technology and tools were constantly improving people’s strength.
Soon, each cultivator capable of wielding Progenitor-level destructive power would be equipped with microarray technology, the battlefield navigation system, and more. The more external tools that were provided, the greater the destructive power and self-defenses the soldiers would have. There would eventually come a day when they would be able to truly measure up to genuine peak powerhouses.
This was the soldiers’ path.
In addition to these efforts, the Tianyuan Megaverse also had other means of increasing the number of people who could wield Progenitor-level power. One method was upgrading the Lost Clan’s cards to create more Immemorial cards. The more Immemorial cards there were, the more cultivators of that level they could produce. However, Enhancing the cards took a tremendous amount of resources.
Humanity's economy was on the verge of collapse, and many parallel universes were trying to find ways to compensate for the expenditures that Lu Yin had spent. He had done everything possible to push things to their limits.
Lord Xu arrived in the Fire Spirit Tribe’s universe, accompanied by Cloudflow.
Cloudflow was the one who had been leading the army to destroy the various marked parallel universes.
For ten years, Lu Yin had sent out cultivators to wander across parallel universes, constantly tearing through the void to search for universes that could be destroyed. It was a risky approach, but not for the Heavens Sect. No matter how many parallel universes they visited by randomly tearing through the void, they had to be within the Tianyuan Megaverse, and if there was a parallel universe where powers greater than the Heavens Sect were hiding, they would have already appeared.
As the cultivators searched for parallel universes, they had left behind coordinate seals before returning to the Heavens Sect. Then, they would tear through the void yet again, continuing the search.
The cultivators who had been searching for parallel universes to destroy were all peak powerhouses, and among them included Cloudflow, Xia Shenji, Xia Qin, Wang Jian, the members of Second Life, and the ten-ring mecha pilots of the Infinity Empire. All of the coordinate seals had been collected from various human civilizations, which allowed the searches to continue unabated.
In the end, four people had been given the final task of leading Lord Xu and the other army commanders so that they could destroy the selected universes.
Cloudflow followed Lord Xu to the Fire Spirit Tribe’s universe, which was where the black energy converters were being studied and produced. There, Cloudflow found 112 people equipped with black energy converters.
The man could not describe his feelings at this moment.
His universe had once been subjugated by the Transcendent Universe, and as a result, he had harbored a deep hatred for black energy converters and Bestowal Art carriers, though he hated energy converters the most.
Anyone who used a black energy converter looked like an enemy to Cloudflow.
At the moment, there were more than a hundred people equipped with black energy converters standing before the man. This was a display of power that he previously could not have even imagined. He struggled to accept what he was seeing.
Lu Yin had asked Cloudflow to work with Lord Xu, but he had never mentioned the presence of the numerous black energy converter users. Their existence was a secret that the Voidlord had only revealed while en route.
The only way Cloudflow could describe what he was seeing was the word “unbelievable.”
If the Transcendent Universe had possessed more than a hundred black energy converters in the past, then forget the Cloudflow Universe—not one universe in the entire Sixverse Association would have dared to oppose the Transcendent Universe. If a powerhouse like Lord Wei had led more than a hundred people with black energy converters, even Aeternus would have been intimidated.
That was the power that was in front of Cloudflow.
The truth truly challenged belief.
