After the killing Yellowbeard and Hou Yi’s taking in of a disciple, the Three Realms saw the determination in Sword Immortal Qin.

Bian Hanyu looked at the bonsai, perplexed. After some hesitation, she said, “This is a pine tree which reminds me of the pine trees on the cliffs. They undergo great difficulties living in those treacherous conditions but are able to live for long periods of time.”

Qin Yun smiled. “For it to grow into this, it’s all thanks to the servants who trim and carefully maintain it while deliberately sculpting it… It is how they are able to grow into this.”

Bian Hanyu nodded.

Aren’t all bonsai like that? They grew to their final form by pruning and deliberate care.

“If a tree doesn’t undergo any pruning and is led to grow, it will unlikely turn into this.” Qin Yun pointed at the bonsai while he looked at Bian Hanyu. “Hanyu, your talent is no lesser than mine.”

“I’m still far inferior,” said Bian Hanyu immediately. Her master was the number one sword immortal in the Three Realms after all.

“However, there are many people in the Three Realms who are talented. Even in this generation, there’s someone like Yu Gufeng as well as the few disciples that the Grand Supreme sword immortal lineage has recruited. All of them are comparable to you,” said Qin Yun. “If we extend our sights to the entire history of the Three Realms, the number of geniuses with talents matching yours would be even higher. Many of them fail to gain insights into a Great Dao to become a mighty figure, much less reach a realm like mine.”

Bian Hanyu nodded.

Qin Yun looked at Bian Hanyu. “Back then, I was faced with a very important choice. I was faced with the destruction of my homeworld. I could have chose to flee, but if I did, I would definitely not have improved so rapidly. I might be able to create a Skyimmortal Dharmic formulation independently and eventually become a mighty figure, but the knot in my heart for abandoning my homeworld would probably have prevented me from attaining a perfected Great Dao. If I had escaped, I would probably have long gained eternal life.

“A cultivation path is just like that. Different choices with different outcomes.

“Just like this bonsai, it is sculpted into this form through pruning. If it was allowed to grow wildly, it would probably look different.

“As my disciple, what realm you cultivate to in the future will depend on your own choices,” said Qin Yun. “Different choices will lead to different outcomes. Remember what I’ve told you today.”

She breezed through the Heavenly Tribulation without any accident, and with Qin Yun, Yi Xiao, Meng Huan, Qin Yiyi, and Qin Yuluo bearing witness, she successfully fused Essence Soul and body as one! She officially became a sword immortal at the Skyimmortal realm.

“It’s a success. Brother Yun, Hanyu has succeeded.” Yi Xiao was overjoyed.

“Soul and body as one. Junior Sister Hanyu has become a Skyimmortal.” Qin Yiyi was also delighted as she added, “Congratulations, Dad. Our Misty Rain lineage’s sword immortal Dharmic formulation… is capable of cultivating a Skyimmortal.”

“Not only a Skyimmortal,” said Meng Huan. “She will definitely become a Golden Immortal in the future.”

Qin Yun smiled as he felt quite pleased.

In his life of cultivation, he was most proud of the sword immortal Dharmic formulation he created. To have a disciple finally become a Skyimmortal using it made up for his own regrets.

Although he was strong, he was ultimately an Itinerant Immortal. it was not suitable for his disciple to take the same path.

The day of the tribulation drew near. Many in the Three Realms began discussing Sword Immortal Qin since the day of his tribulation was coming.

“The day of my tribulation is in three days. I have things I need to tell all of you.” Qin Yun and Yi Xiao walked ahead. Behind them were Meng Huan, Qin Yiyi, and Qin Yuluo as they came to the Qin family’s Treasure Pavilion.

Qin Yiyi, Meng Huan, and Qin Yuluo exchanged looks, feeling puzzled.

“My Qin family’s Treasure Pavilion is known to all of you,” Qin Yun said. “However, there is a hidden building in it that you are unaware of.”

“We aren’t aware of?” The three were puzzled.

Yi Xiao waved her hand as the void in front of them separated, revealing a hidden building. “You will know when you enter.”

They followed a corridor into another building which was huge. It spanned more than a hundred thousand feet and there were manuals, but even more impressive were the valuable treasures. There were also Connate Numinous treasures that sparkled. It left Qin Yiyi and company in a daze.

“There are three Connate Pinnacle Numinous treasures in here. Seven ordinary Connate Numinous treasures,” said Qin Yun.

Qin Yiyi, Meng Huan, and Qin Yiyi looked in astonishment.

“They were all obtained by me in the spatial tide,” said Qin Yun. “After killing those other-universe cultivators, I also obtained a few perfected Great Dao corpses. Each of these corpses are valued no less than a Connate Pinnacle Numinous treasure. If they are refined into puppets, they would probably have the strength of pinnacle Great Dao existences. However, refining them wouldn’t be easy! There are also some extremely precious mystical items. A number of manuals here are from other-universe cultivators.
