Hearing Huang Yize’s words, Yun Bilu thought about it and realized that there were indeed a lot of things she needed to do for her elder sister!
She nodded her head seriously. “Don’t worry, I will definitely settle those things for my sister.”
Huang Yize’s lips curved into a small smile before he passed a cooked lamb skewer to her.
Yun Bilu ate it happily, feeling that days like these were the best where the family came together.
Old Master Yun’s health was not very good, so it was best for him to rest and recuperate. He just sat inside the villa and played games on the tablet.
At his age, eating barbecue would not be good for digestion, so he decided not to eat it at all. However, he was in a good mood as he said to Aunt Zhou, “I can rest easy now that my two grandchildren have people doting on them.”
“It’s good that Old Master thinks that way.”
Old Master Yun sighed. “A person only has one life. There’s no use fighting over things. Everything’s fine as long as my grandchildren are well.” He only came to this realization after slogging out for most of his life.
When everyone was done eating, the helpers were there to help them clean up, so everyone returned to their bedrooms to rest.
In Yun Bixue and Xie Limo’s bedroom, there was a huge floor-to-ceiling window, and they could clearly see the beach and the waves even when both of them were to lie on the bed.
Yun Bixue leaned against the window and said in satisfaction, “Limo, it’s really nice for us to sleep here tonight.” She even twirled around as she said that.
Watching Yun Bixue twirl, Xie Limo hung his coat and said, “Look at you. When you’re happy, you’re literally over the moon, but when you’re not, you don’t even talk.”
Yun Bixue blinked. “Were there times that I have been unhappy?”
“Of course. When you’re unhappy, you don’t talk that much.”
Yun Bixue gave a gentle smile. She placed her hand in front of Xie Limo and said, “Hubby, thank you for today, and for the ring too. I like it a lot.”
Xie Limo sat on the bed and pulled Yun Bixue over, making her sit down on his lap. He kissed her fingers as he said, “As long as you like it. I owe you this ring. You suffered that time at Star’s Fate Jewelry because of me.”
“That’s no suffering. Didn’t you take revenge for me afterwards?”
Xie Limo nodded. “Of course, no one can bully my dear wife. That’s why Star’s Fate Jewelry no longer exists.”
Yun Bixue leaned her head against his shoulder and said, “Hubby, you’re too ruthless, but I like it.” To tell the truth, she did feel uncomfortable when Jiang Jingshan maliciously mentioned the ring back then. However, she did not think that her own husband, Mr. Xie, would be so considerate that he had taken matters into his own hands.
She stared at the ring on her finger. The more she looked at it, the more she liked it. More importantly, this ring was given to her by her very own Mr. Xie. Even if it were the most common ring in the world, she would like it nonetheless.
After bathing, Yun Bixue laid on the bed and rested in Xie Limo’s arms. The two of them talked about the everyday things in life—Yun Bixue had a lot of things to tell him.
Xie Limo listened quietly in a graceful manner as he held his wife in his arms, replying sometimes when needed.
It was getting really late, and seeing how Yun Bixue still had a lot of things to say, Xie Limo said in a gentle voice, “I didn’t think that my dear wife would have such talkative moments.”
“Limo, I’m really very happy today.”
“I’m really happy too because you accepted my wedding proposal.”
Yun Bixue lightly punched Xie Limo’s chest. “Hey, I’m your wife to begin with, so why are you still scared that I would run away?”
“Of course, I want to keep my wife by my side and look after her always.”
Yun Bixue’s face broke into a gentle smile as she looked into Xie Limo’s eyes. “Limo, do you still remember the day when we went to collect our marriage certificates?”
Xie Limo caressed Yun Bixue’s head and answered, “I still remember it, no matter how much time has passed. Meeting you has brought so many surprises to my life.”
