However, even as he lied down dead on the ground, he was still able to direct the whole team after much adjusting of his field of vision. The Confused Perception was unable to hit anyone accurately for a long time. Within the dungeon, the whole team could hear Kid’s voice shouting directions like “Run to your left”, “Take smaller steps”, etc. His clear childlike voice rang out loud in the dungeon and acted as pleasant background music to the group’s ears as they fought with the Boss.

“… Dark will engulf you…”

After Lin Jie dealt out a blow of Blood Light Multi-Slash which caused 4,000 Damage Dealt, the Pupilless Succubus’s body trembled and fell back into the Epidemic Pond. It was corroded completely within a few seconds, and out dropped several pieces of glittering equipment.

Lin Jie’s eyes gleamed with excitement as he said, “How about going all out for once this time round?”

“Oh, I have long been waiting for this!”

“Yeah, I am getting so sick of just farming the Boss at the first stage of the dungeon. It’s high time that we embrace some real action!”

“MTs, hurry up and go! All will be naught if Leader decides to take back his words!”

The members of Savage Blade were almost in tears when they heard Lin Jie’s command. After all, they had been farming Lei Zhika for almost up to one full month. Although more preparation would never go wrong, they still hoped to get on with the real task quickly.

After a few minutes, the Lei Zhika crawled up from the pond and entered his second stage.

“B*stard!” The Heavenly Shield rushed up immediately. As Mixed Breathless possessed the best loose equipment parts out of all the MTs in the team, the full Blasphemer Sets were given to Silver Shield and The Heavenly Shield first. The Heavenly Shield now charged straight ahead at Lei Zhika, donning a gold-lit Blasphemer Set. He looked magnificent and strong and slammed down his shield on Lei Zhika’s face with Combo attacks of Shield Strike, Taunt, Reflective Shield, Shield Attack, luring the monster’s aggro to himself securely.

“Kid, it’s SHOW TIME!” Lin Jie smiled and said to Kid, who was still lying on the ground. However, his hands did not stop moving—with a big clash, Broken Blade and Thunderbolt Sword made a spine-chilling sound, and he activated Hunter’s Forward Charge!

As a Boss, Lei Zhika was, of course, immune to the controlling effects of the Hunter’s Forward Charge skill, and its superb defense capabilities were also seen from this blow. What’s scary was that now, the speed at which he was throwing the potions increased by several times!

Netherblue stared intently at the potions. After farming the Boss for so long, she had remembered clearly all the effects and outer appearances of the various potions. The real deadly potions that the Boss threw out would just be the following three:

During such times, the benefits of having everyone in the team donning the Blasphemer Sets would be fully displayed—the potions’ Damage Dealt were on the average around 900 – 1,000 points, and if the Boss decided to blast all the potions at the same time, any MT would be killed instantly. However, with the Blasphemer Set, each player would only suffer around 400 plus Damage Dealt. As such, the healing jobs would be less pressurized, and there might even be enough time for each healing job to rest or replenish his or her mana bars every few minutes during the tough fight.

Coupled with Bu Yi’s Mass Dispel skill, it was guaranteed that the team would not suffer from the negative effects of the potions for long. The battle against the Boss could then ensue successfully.

“Have a taste of my special precious potions…” shrieked Lei Zhika at the top of his voice as he threw 30 plus bottles of potions at the far end side of the dungeon, where the Mages and Priests were at! The potions thrown were all the Burning Mana Potions. If they hit their targets, the players’ Mana bars would most probably be depleted at once!

“Big Brothers and Big Sisters, run towards the southwest direction, yes, that’s it, take three steps, just three steps! Alright, remain there and don’t move. Big Sister Bu Yi, Big Brother Fat Cattle, both of you take five steps to your left, Big Sister Bu Yi, you need to take bigger steps… Ah!”

The potions landed madly upon them, and a sky-blue fog rose up—Bu Yi was the only one being hit by the Burning Mana Potion, and her Mana bar was depleted to zero points. She also suffered two to three 600+ Damage Dealt, and her health bar was almost emptied too.

“Quick, regen the girl’s health bar!” shouted I’m No. 1.

Everyone put on serious expressions and immediately backed off. Bu Yi cast the Heal Renew Spell on herself, and also drank a Middle-Grade Natural Recovery Potion, recovering her Mana bar to at least 50% or more.

“Come out, my little cutie pies!” shouted Lei Zhika as he ran towards the pond in his Invincible mode. Bu Yi immediately used the Mass Dispel skill to get rid of his Invincible state, while the rest of the team continued attacking Lei Zhika fervently.

Bubbles appeared on the surface of the Epidemic Pond. Out jumped dark-greenish skeletons, and a blood-red skeleton was among the midst of them.

“Darn it, it’s the Self-Explosive Skeletons!” cursed Lin Jie secretly under his breath. All those green Self-Explosive Skeletons only had 10 health points, but they would add 10,000 health points to the red skeleton standing in the midst of them whenever one of them was killed; hence, allowing it to enter an Invincible state. During that state, the red skeleton could conjure up an explosion which had the effects on par of a Blazing Fire Rain!

The red skeleton in the middle of the group was named as the King Skeleton, and its initial health points were just 10,000 points. However, when all the Self-Explosive Skeletons around it were killed, it would evolve and become a Boss-tier monster, and its abilities were no less powerful than a Dark Gold Boss!

In turn, the drop-rate of this monster would be much higher than other monsters. However, remember this was at the Epidemic Pond dungeon—no one would want to waste their own powers now just to get the rewards from killing a Dark Gold Boss!

“Everyone, stay still and remain at your positions!” cried Lin Jie as he took out the Silent Killer, shooting five bullets at the King Skeleton.

The King Skeleton let out a painful cry. With a single order from it, all the skeletons crawled onto the dry land and charged ferociously towards Lin Jie.

One must attack the King Skeleton if they wanted to lure the monsters’ aggro!

However, there was only a single chance of striking the King Skeleton for this tactic to take effect. This was because all the following attacks would be blocked off by the Self-Explosive Skeletons around the King Skeleton under its commands so that it could evolve to its more powerful form.

To kill the King Skeleton while incurring as little damage as possible, one would have to take care not to come in contact with any of the Self-Explosive Skeletons. This was the only way to prevent the King Skeleton from entering its Invincible state and hence evolved to its stronger form. If a single Self-Explosive Skeleton was killed, the King Skeleton would automatically enter its Invincible state. One would then have to continue killing the rest of the Self-Explosive Skeletons. However, by then, the King Skeleton would probably already have finished its transformation.

“Feather Drop Spell!”

Lin Jie jumped up high into the air, flipped upside down in the air and loaded the bullets, aiming the gun at the tip of the King Skeleton’s head. Five shots were directed at its body—the skeleton did not have inbuilt jumping mechanisms, so it was unable to jump away from these attacks!

When the first bullet entered the King Skeleton’s head, the prowess of the Silent Killer was fully exhibited—Continuous Silence was activated! When the King Skeleton’s health points dropped to less than 80% of its health bar, it would be able to command its underlings without any physical contact to help block off attacks against it. However, due to the effect of Continuous Silence skill, it could do nothing at all now!

The two squabblers started quarreling again. In any case, their conversation still revealed their admiration for Lin Jie. Lin Jie continued his attacks and shot his bullets accurately into the King Skeleton’s skull while dodging the flood-like Self-Explosive Skeletons which came at him. After he lured them to a corner, he activated the Feather Drop skill again and did a somersault, leaping out of the crowd. At the same time, the five shots he fired at the King Skeleton hit their targets.

Skills—all these were hard-core skills that only expert players would acquire!

Lin Jie’s expertise at using ranged weapons as a Warrior was shocking to see, and at once all his teammates revered him as if he was some god-like figure!

One bullet was aimed right at the King Skeleton’s skull, and spinning at high speeds, it landed right on its target and burst the skull! After the King Skeleton was killed, all the rest of the Self-Explosive Skeletons stopped abruptly in their advances. They melted away into pools of dirty-looking liquids and flowed back into the Epidemic Pond.

There were lots of equipment left on the spot, and their sparkles almost blinded the team’s eyes! Those who still had not gathered the complete set of the Blasphemer Set thought gleefully, ‘Hehe, this time round I bet we will be able to gather a full set of Silver Blasphemer Set?’

“Awesome!” whistled Unexpected Childe. “Leader, can you teach me your skills? You can be my master—mind you, it’s really hard to find such an obedient disciple like me.”

Lin Jie smiled and said, “Sure, any time.”

“Oh, yes…” After lowering his head and pondering for a while, Lin Jie threw out the Silent Killer. This Silent Killer gun flew in a great arc across the mid-air, and landed straight into Unexpected Childe’s bosom.

Unexpected Childe trembled as he asked, “What…”

“I will lend you this gun temporarily. Remember to return it to me,” Lin Jie smiled and said.

Unexpected Childe’s eyes turned red from excitement, and his face went as red as a beetroot too. The gun which Lin Jie lent him to use was, after all, a Sub-Legendary weapon—currently, there would most probably be only one of such equipment around in the game! This weapon would worth millions—in fact, if one put it up for auction at the Auction House, it might fetch a price as high as tens of millions!

Yet now, he was holding such a weapon in his hands!

Unexpected Childe said in a serious tone, “Definitely!”

“Lei Zhika’s out, be careful!” Although The Heavenly Shield was saying these words, the amazement on his face when he saw what Lin Jie did was still very obvious. As the leader of a guild, he was naturally very used to managing his subordinates. The basic principle was to use rewards and punishments concurrently—the carrot and stick approach worked very well in his experience. However, The Heavenly Shield had to admit that personally, he wouldn’t be able to lend such precious equipment to his teammates.

There were a total of 13 bullets shot out—and they all hit Lei Zhika accurately!
