Chapter 511 - Properly Cherish You
Chapter 511: Properly Cherish You
It was as though their hearts were connected. The moment she wanted to see him, he was here.
She was the only woman he would ever have in his life. Bai Qinghao felt it was only natural that he treat her well. However, he did not express this.
His heavy voice carried a hint of heartache. “How old are you? You’re still crying at this age?”
His heartache only worsened her urge to cry. She buried her face in his chest and responded gloomily. “I’m only nineteen years old. I’m not even twenty yet.”
He naturally knew this. If she was twenty, he would already have married her. “Don’t cry.”
The sound of her crying left him feeling as though someone had stabbed him right in his heart.
She looked up with a smile. “I’m not crying. I’m happy. I mean it!”
He was worried she would fall off with the way she was clinging onto him and decided to bring her up into a princess carry. He then brought her to a nearby bench and sat down with her on his lap. He looked down at her little face covered in medicine. “What’s making you so happy?”
“It’s because you wanted to marry me.” She had been too affected by the possibility that he agreed to their engagement for his grandmother.
If she had known he had chosen her himself, and that he wasn’t doing this out of a sense of responsibility, she would never have fallen for Bai Chenxi in her past life. Instead, she would have held onto him no matter the difficulties.
Unfortunately, in the ten years of marriage they previously shared, she only came to this realisation at the very end.
She took in his cold and stern features. “Thankfully, there’s still time for everything.”
In this life, she could properly make up for all the love she previously owed him.
He lifted his brows as a hint of confusion flashed past his eyes. “Time for what?”
She would not mention events from their past life to him. “To properly cherish you.”
Bai Qinghao was deeply moved by her words. He tightened his arms around her. “Fang Xinxin, those are the words I wanted to say to you!”
His voice was especially serious.
“En.” She pressed her little face in his firm chest and felt the warmth of his embrace. As they quietly held each other, she felt a sweet happiness filling her up.
Bai Qinghao held her silently.
It was as though he could not bear to disturb the peace that they were sharing.
“Click!” A Jing Hua University student captured a photo of them embracing. He planned on posting it on Weibo.
Liu Li, who was guarding nearby, immediately stepped forward. He snatched the phone and was about to delete the photo when Bai Qinghao spoke up. “Save the photo before deleting it.”
“Yes, Sir.” Liu Li did not ask any questions. He sent a copy of the photo to his own email address, before carrying out his boss’s order and deleting it from the phone.
When the students around them saw this, though their eyes remained fixed on Bai Qinghao, they did not dare to take any more photos.
Bai Qinghao was the country’s idol. Naturally, the crowd around them began to grow.
Fang Xinxin said, “Let’s return to the Yu Ting Villa. I don’t want to attend class today.”
Bai Qinghao’s figure stiffened slightly and she immediately guessed it. “Do you have work to do?”
He nodded slightly. “I can rearrange it.”
“No, no. Don’t delay your work.” She stood up from his lap and urged. “Quickly go.”
He immediately felt a sense of loss when she left his arms. He tugged her back and responded heavily. “It’s fine.”
“But…” She wanted to argue but was cut off firmly. “There are no buts.”
She looked up and saw a hint of fatigue in his expression. It was clear that he didn’t catch any sleep last night.
