Monster Integration

Chapter 4293 Through The Caves

Chapter 4293  Through The Caves

"It seemed like you were reaching the limit," I said to the cloaked woman as she stopped, with her focused on the runes flashing over my body.

"Come at me. You might be able to advance the comprehension of your law. If you were able to push yourself to limit and beyond it,"

"Most of the advancement I had was through that way," I added. Inviting the enemy to attack me.

I could not see her or her face, but I could tell the gears in her head were shifting fast. There is a decision in front of her, and it would be wise for her to attack me and kill me.

The last one who didn't kill me and didn't have killing intent. It is why I had planned to beat him to pulp, but this woman, I will kill.

I showed that promise through my eyes.

I don't know who the woman is; I had scanned through the information I had, but I couldn't match it to what I had observed to her.

It didn't matter. Seeing, she cannot hide from me. If she comes across me, I will sense her.

That is more than enough.

"Enjoy the time you have left Prim Arys. The next time we meet, I will kill you," she stated and disappeared into the lightning.

Seeing her leaving, a relief flooded into my body.

I was putting on a brave face in front of her. I am at my limit, with nearly every part of me injured. Even now, that dangerous lightning is covering my body.

I wanted to sit down and deal with it. Instead, I walked away while my clones dealt with it.

I want to be as far away as possible from the jump pad and whatever that might come out of it. I was able to deal with the woman, but I might not be able to deal with a person or monsters coming out of it.

A few minutes passed, and I was finally able to deal with all the lightning covering me.

Seeing that, a mask and cloak appeared over my body. It changed my height and look while I activated max isolation on my body so that not even a speck would be released from it.

I didn't plan to hide, but seeing they were actively hunting for the people who have the forbidden power crystal. It would be wise to become one of them.

I made a few other changes before increasing my speed.

I am still not healed fully, but enough, that agonizing pain didn't shoot into my body with every movement I make.

A few minutes passed, and a smile appeared on my face. I now know where I am.

It shouldn't take me more than four days to get out of here. It will be four challenging days, but what other choice do I have? I don't want to wait in my abode for two more years.

The battle earlier nearly killed me, but it made me feel good.

I can be in a hole; I need to talk to people. Interact with them. It will be fine, even if it is a few minutes every day.

Another hour passed, and I came across a person. He is like me, masked and all. He sensed me as I moved toward him and changed the caves after a few seconds.

It was strong, but not as strong as the woman. If we had fought, I would have been able to defeat him with a little luck.

A few minutes after that, I came across a battlefield. Most of the signs have been wiped out, and if I had been a few hours later, I wouldn't have been able to see much.

The thick energies of this place whittle away almost everything.

One person had died here. I am not fully sure since many of the signs had been wiped out, but I am right. And the person who did was the one I had sensed earlier.

The forbidden crystals are extremely valuable, and people are doing things they normally wouldn't to get them.

Even I had thoughts of looting a few people.

Two years had given me a lot of time to research. Over a decade inside the core. My clone was able to find out a lot of things. Gain knowledge of the forbidden power that saved me earlier.

Her law powers were too strong, but I was able to defend against it because of the forbidden power and the knowledge to use it.

I had spent about 90% of the forbidden power I had. The rest, I am using sparingly. It is why even now, the thoughts of looting hadn't gone away.

I pushed those thoughts and focused on my journey.

Soon, I come across another battlefield. The signs on it had fully whittled away till nothing had remained.

I didn't spend more than a few seconds on it before moving away.

Hours passed, and I moved through cave after cave. I sensed people more than I liked, and I stayed away from most. Especially those I felt could be dangerous to me.

Like the one, right now. The man is dangerous enough he will be able to finish me in a few seconds.

It is why I am frozen like a duck. Waiting for him to move out of my range. It took him twenty-two minutes to do that before I moved.

I could have moved sooner, but I cannot take the risk. It's too dangerous. Being able to hide in front of someone with that power is already a big deal.

I don't want to press my luck and see what happens.

Two more hours passed, and I was thinking about the rest when my soul waves noticed something.

A jump pad.

Seeing that I moved again and at a faster speed than before, I don't want to rest closer to that thing. It might bring danger that I could not do anything against.

My abode is good at hiding, but it's not a risk I want to take.
