Chapter 2676: Four
Chapter 2676: Four
"Congratulation on becoming a Grandmaster," I said to the last host of Bloodline as she opened her eyes.
All twenty-eight of them have finished the breakthrough, and people begin to leave. Not all the people here have access to see what will happen next. I have kept the access to a minimum, to only those I truly trust.
A few minutes passed when the four windows appeared in the viewing room, showing two men and two women, all of them looked in their fifties and over and were absolute peak Grandmasters; one of which is Grandmistress Charline.
She is finally ready to make a breakthrough into the High-Grandmaster; she had been ready for months, but she had decided to wait to further strengthen her core; of the four people, Grandmistress Charline is going to have the easier time breaking through.
She already has the core, and her foundation is robust; she is going to have a smooth breakthrough as long as there is no disturbance.
The other three Grandmasters have good chances, and there is also me to help them as I did with the previous two batches. Though the previous two batches did not have as much as numbers as this batch, and if all three of them have developed a problem, then it will be little straining.
Click!
A few minutes passed when the door opened, and Neela walked in, clearly tired, but there was a smile on her face.
"You did good, Neela," I praised. She had worked on three Grandmasters except for the Grandmistress Charline, who did not need any help. She would not have done what she did a month ago, but now, she could.
She is still a Master, but she has finally been able to create a core, and with it, she could level up to Grandmaster.
She would be able to help me even more, when she did, but I had asked her not to. First, she needs to reach all the potential of her core, and when she has harnessed every bit of it, she will make the breakthrough to Grandmaster and receive the maximum benefits.
"Begin!"
I said after I checked their meta-scans one more time, everything is good as it could be, and the success now depends on their efforts, and some of mine, if the problem rises.
The breakthrough began, and I watched with rapt attention. Last time, the problem began at the first minute. The curse, which was hiding in the deepest part of the Grandmaster, flared up, and I had to use emergency procedures to deal with it.
It was not a Grimms curse, but something he had gotten from exploring a ruin; he had thought he had gotten rid of it, and I had thought there was nothing considering how deep it was hiding; even my seeds have a problem in scanning this deep.
That curse was a problem, but it also turned useful as I got precious data from it, which now enables me to scan much deeper.
Within thirteen minutes of the start of the breakthroughs, Grandmistress Charline summoned the gate to her source, and the energies began to fly out into her through the formation covering her. Those source energies are one of the most gentle I have ever seen; even a common Tyrant will bear them.
This is not the case most of the time, and even Grandmasters became careful and kept their distance when the source energies were called out.
I am quite in awe of source energies, be it Inheritance or Bloodline, unlike the naturally occurring energies like the energies of art. These energies are crafted by powerful beings; it is said, the process is extremly dangerous and conditions for their breakthrough.
A half-hour passed, and all three of them were called the energies; these are also the source energies, but they are not as dense or powerful as the source energy that Grandmistress Charline had called.
High-Grandmaster could also call source energy, but the source energy they called is only as powerful as Grandmasters with the core. This is why the core is extremly important; it could let one harness power that one could only dream about, and the sooner one creates the core, the greater benefits they will receive.
All the four halls filled with the source energies, and these energies got dense and denser; till they became so dense that Grandmaster would thick twice daring to enter these halls.
Hun!
I was just watching when suddenly, I found the problem building; the problems are in veins. He seemed to have suffered the injuries, and even though those injuries healed, it is quite a delicate affair, and if someone were in my place, they would have aborted the breakthrough.
Because if not stopped on time, this small problem is not only going to become bigger and cripple him but also kill him very painfully.
I have been aware of this problem but could not heal it. Still, it is related to his veins, and to heal them, I would have had to injure that part before healing it systematically. The whole affair wouldn't have been not only painful but also would have done psychological damage.
Which would decrease his chances of leveling up, and the main reason I waited and decided to take a chance during the breakthrough where the strain is the most.
Buzz!
'Activating the formation,' said my clone and activated the healing formation my seed had carved inside his vein.
It is an extremly expensive formation and had to use the resources like the divine crystal and the blood fiend lily, which his organization was too happy to provide. A High-Grandmaster was extremly important, and supremes would pay any price to get them.
It is why I had asked for three times more resources, which they were too happy to provide without suspecting anything.
What I had asked is too low of the price for the High-Grandmaster; I have been privately approached by the supremes and others, where they were willing to pay insane price, really insane price per High-Grandmaster, which of course I have rejected.
I may skim them now and then, but that is a limit; I will do or accept anything that will jeopardize my freedom.
The formation activated and began to heal as the cracks appeared on the veins, and this time, the healing was far more complete. The formation not only has powerful resources but also has a heavy dose of rule-bending power.
I will not allow any failure, given how important these people are.
From what the council had told me, of three of these people, two will immediately join the war, while only one will be kept in reserve. There is a huge need for the High-Grandmasters, especially in those dangerous unexplored ruins.
The Grimms are making big headway there, plundering huge amounts of resources which in turn will help them produce more powerhouses.
The ruins are providing us a huge amount of resources, but our share is still lesser than the Grimms, and the Pyramid wants to change that, make it equal at the least, and to accomplish that, they need powerhouses, and currently, only the project is capable in numbers they need.
