Chapter 2564: Offer

Chapter 2564: Offer

“You mean, forever damaging my curse by tearing it apart?” she asked back, and I could see the sparks of anger in her eyes.

Like I had said, we have grown up in a completely different environment, under completely different psychological conditions.

For us, constitutions are a blessing of the world that very few have, but for them, it is a curse that will kill them in a most horrific way before they are even thirty.

“It may feel like a curse to you, but it is a blessing, a great blessing in you and your brother’s condition,” I said, and I could feel her eyes getting a little sharper when I mentioned her brother, but next women she calmed her emotions.

“Whether it was blessing or curse, it did not matter anymore; I have destroyed it beyond repairs,” she replied with a mirthless laugh.

Tap!

“Not exactly,” I said to that and tapped my finger on the table. Just as I did, a huge change of expression appeared on her face.

“How?” she asked in a shock.

I did not heal her constitution; even rule-bending power and all my talent couldn’t achieve that.

What I did was able to stop the damage and relieve the pain, I had relieved some of her pain earlier, and my seed had been working on relieving the rest of the torturous pain she was feeling and only succeeded about a minute ago.

“You are right about your constitution; it is heavily damaged, but it can be healed,” I replied. Which did not bring much happiness to her face, which is understandable considering it is a curse to her, and my few words aren’t going to change her mind about it.

She might have felt something about it if her Inheritance had let her use some of its power, but despite having such an incredible constitution, she had never been able to use its power.

“The reason I have called you here is that I want to take you and your brother out of this ruin into the real world,” I said, stating the reason I had called her.

“Of course, it will be your wish, and to be honest, this ruin will be a paradise compared to the real world, away from the bloody war we are fighting,” I said.

I had conveniently avoided mentioning that Grimms could attack at any moment and take away this ruin, or if we lost the war, they would go back to the slaves of Grimm that they had been. Not to mention, if I take them back, there will be quite a trouble.

There are strict rules about bringing liberated humans back into the real populace, much less using them in a war.

We have suffered a lot due to such mistakes in the past, but I still feel it is a risk worth taking. If they trained well and were able to harness their full potential, they would become an invaluable asset to the war, and we desperately need some people.

“We will come,” she said, and there was clear certainty in her voice.

“You don’t have to answer me immediately; there are still a few things I haven’t told you, and you haven’t even discussed it with your brother,” I said.

The war is bloody, and considering she had never held a weapon in her hands and trained with it, she will require a lot of work, and it will be extremly dangerous and exceptionally hard for her to make something out of her, even with her powerful constitution.

As it is not just the hurdle of inexperience and skill in front of her but also her Inheritance. Which does not have any fighting move, and once tried to use them forcefully, it gives quite a punishment.

“It will not change my mind. Grimms have taken everything from me, and as long as you offer a chance of revenge, I will cross even a sea of fire for it,” she said, and I could feel the deep conviction in her eyes.

She left half an hour later, and I dissolved the floating construct before finding a good spot in front of the fountain and sitting on it with my eyes closed.

I did not have to do anything; everything I had to do, I had done. The rest will be handled by the people that Pyramid have sent; they are very efficient in these kinds of things.

Inside my core, I am sitting beside my clone, and we are working on the different things. While my core is still studying the soul tome, I am checking the scans and data of project participants and working on new treatments for them.

The meta-scan of Grandmaster Atkins beside me, there is not much change in it. She is still absorbing the ever-essence slowly; she hadn’t even summoned her bloodline source yet, so until it does and her breakthrough expedites to regular speed, I will continue working.

Hun!

More than twelve hours passed inside the core when I opened my eyes; Grandmaster Atkins was still absorbing the everessence. I opened my eyes because Rai had finally come back.

“It seemed like you have come back early,” said Rai as he landed beside me, “Yes, I did,” I replied, and suddenly my eyes became sharper.

Rai instantly noticed my movements and became alert; I could see him activating his abilities, and they were amazing but still lacking compared to mine. The rule-bending power is on a completely different level; there could be no comparison unless others too have the rule-bending power.

The veil of dense elemental energy is not easy to breach; even if I used all my abilities, I would not be able to see what is happening inside. The only reason I am able to see it is because of my seed that is inside Grandmaster Atkins.

“What is it?” Rai asked after he failed to notice anything different. “Something very interesting,” I replied, and he gave me a look that clearly said I should be telling him what was happening.

“Tell me?” He asked a minute later when I did not say anything, “You will know in a few hours,” I replied with a smile.

Grandmaster Atkins has finally summoned the power of her bloodline source, and I have to say it is an extremly powerful bloodline source. It is at the level of Rai’s bloodline but very different compared to other bloodlines, which is not surprising considering how stranger her bloodline is.

“She is really right; you could be frustrating sometimes,” Rai grumbled, and I could see a panic appearing on his face for a moment as he said those words as quickly controlled his emotions.

“And who is she?” I asked with a sweet smile; I know who is she, but I am not outrightly going to tell him that, let him fret over thinking whether I know about them or not when they are super secretive about the whole thing.

“She is someone you have worked with before,” Rai replied with an equally sweet smile, but I could see a hint of panic in his eyes.

I know her very well, and if she finds out, I know about them, and it is due to Rai. She will eat him alive.

“It seemed like I have to be careful about who I work with in the future; it will not be good for any reputation if they spread such false things about me,” I said and turned back to the fountain while Rai fretted if I truly know about them.
