Chapter 2230 - Soul Corrupting Flames I

Chapter 2230 – Soul Corrupting Flames I

“What did you do to Frakr?”

The Goatman asked in great surprise as I felt its powerful soul sense which is thick as water spread around me, wanting to find the signs of its friend, but it count see it, not even the slightest fluctuation of the space.

“The same thing I will do to you,” I said and moved toward the Goatman harnessing all the power of the third boost and also using all the internal energy I have, leaving not a single speck behind while at the same time. I had also activated the crown of roses to be extra sure.

I have used my strings against Bullman and had not touched it with even a single one, fearing its powerful soul energy might detect.

Though I have complete confidence in my strings, I did not want to take chances when I was fighting against the two Grandmasters, but now, there is only one, and I want to finish it as soon as possible.

Seeing the way these broken formations shake, I feel that the whole layer might collapse, and with spatial energy in the mix, I do not have any confidence in surviving the whole collapse.

I also have to think about my friends, who were barely hanging there behind the broken formation.

An alarm flashed in its eyes for a fraction of seconds before its eyes recovered before it moved its staff in defense while the translucent armor let out a shine, and I knew a powerful soul attack was coming my way.

“Raid of Ants!”

It shouted, and at that very same moment, I felt as if hundreds of thousands of ants had attacked my soul. The attack is powerful all right, but its main purpose is not to destroy the soul but give the pain.

This attack of it is more effective than any of it before, and if I had used to the pain since I began my practice. I would have thrown my sword and screamed loudly in pain.

I activated the new ability of ‘Crown of Roses,’ which immediately helped me dull the pain, and I harnessed even greater power from my deepest part to crush this bastard even greater strength.

CLANNNNG!

It was barely able to move its staff in time to defend against my attack; even then, when it did, its whole body shook before it began to take a step back uncontrollably with great shock flashing in my eyes.

“You should be fallen down on the floor screaming with your soul broken,” The Goatman shouted as it took the steps back.

“How are you able to defend against my attacks? You are also practicing the soul arts, don’t you?” It asked as if it understood the answer of the great mystery.

I did not reply; instead, I appeared next to it while it was taking the steps back and attacked again. I did not want to give it any chance; the sooner it dies, the better.

On the way to the attacking it, another broken formation had attacked me again with a powerful attack which I had dodged before attacking the Goatman, which had bombarded me with another powerful soul attack.

CLANNNNG CLANNNNG CLANNNNG!

I begin to launch attack after attack, not giving it even a second of relief, always forcing it back with the attacks it is barely able to defend.

It continues to bombard me with the powerful soul attacks, but my defenses are defending against them, albeit barely. I have to finish it soon before it brings out something which I could not defend against.

Despite getting the upper hand against it, I am still feeling a little antsy. The buzzing feeling of danger I am getting from it had not truly disappeared.

After hundreds of attacks, my sword had finally able to evade its staff and move toward its body.

“Mountain Hand!”

It shouted, and a huge hand made of mountain stone appeared in front of it, but my sword ripped through it, cutting it into two before moving toward it.

SLASH!

My sword slashed across its chest, giving it a bone-deep injury and releasing peculiar energy through it, which I have made to counter the Grimms especially. The injury would have been much deeper, but it was too slippery.

Next time, I will not let it happen; I will take this bastard’s heart and will tear apart its life core.

“Youuu!” The Goatman said with eyes wide in shock like it had never expected my sword would be even able to hit it, much less give some gruesome injury.

“I really don’t want to use this human given the cost of it, but you have left me no choice,” It said maniacally, looking at the long deep injury I had given it, which has not begun healing as it should have.

The feeling of forbearing rose in my heart, and I pushed myself even faster against it, wanting to finish it off before it launched the fatal attack it was planning on launching.

“Human, you have forced, now bear the power of the soul corrupting flames!” It said, and translucent grey aura cane out of its body, seeing I had topped on my tracks as it gave me the feeling of extreme danger.

The grey translucent flames spread out of it and began to move toward me when suddenly, the translucent flames suddenly stopped, clear confusion appeared on its face.

The confusion did not last for more than a second, as a surprise appeared on its face, which had morphed into alarm. It took it another second before it was able to regain its expressions.

“Invisible cage, which could not be only capable for caging physical forces but also a soul, that’s how you got frakr, don’t you?” It asked back. I did not reply; instead, I powered up my defenses even further and was even ready to activate the fourth boost if it is needed to be.

“Hehe, it is a good thing, powerful enough that even I am not sure I could break it,” It said, but it did not seem worried.

“It is great that you have such a good thing; it made killing you even more,” “Easier as this thing is directly connected to you,” It said and gripped my invisible strings with its hands, and next moment, it began to spread its soul corrupting flames on my invisible strings.
