Chapter 2146: Against Grandmaster II

Chapter 2146: Against Grandmaster II

Raa Raa Raa

The giant disfigured ghosts descended me wailing loudly, and they reached me; they had done stranged things. They stopped and slowly moved their hands and claws toward my shields.

Hun!

It had caught me by quite a surprise as I had thoughts these ghosts would attack me. I had even made the preparations for that too, but to my surprise, they had a completely different plan in mind. I changed my defensive measure according to it.

Soon several of the hands of the ghosts had touched the shield, and their huge figures seeped inside my shield before I could do anything.

Right after I disappeared, another set of ghostly hands touched my shields and disappeared inside me.

Raa Raa Raa

The ghosts had seeped inside me and came at me, and for some strange reason, around 90% of my defenses did not detect them, and that 10% that had detected them, they are crushing them one by one, it won’t be long before the first ghost came at me.

It took me seconds to understand what these ghosts were; I had only had to see what sort of defenses working on them and what wasn’t.

As I had understood what they were, I had activated a few more defenses, and it immediately slowed down the ghosts, but it only slowed down. I had barely been able to buy myself a second, but these overwhelming number of ghosts that are coming toward me one after another crush me.

The second is barely enough, but it is still better than having my soul devoured by the cursed ghosts or devouring cursed wraiths, which they should be called, consume my soul.

Hun!

My mind was running through the hundreds of possibilities when suddenly, 1% of mine, which is keeping track of things in my core, had informed me something.

The seed had finally been able to suck the Grimm vidette completely, not even leaving a speck, and it started to bring great changes to the seed, the ones I had been hoping for. If I had been stuck in life and death situation, I would watch it without missing a beat, but now I could not.

I was again moving to hundred different possibilities on dealing with the ghosts when my gaze fell on the silver leaf, and a daring plan came into my mind.

It is a plan that could kill me and destroy my core, but I could see no other choice. With the methods I have, I would be able to few ghosts, at most ten if I am lucky, but not more than that before I got consumed by it; it is the best choice I could think of.

So, without wasting any time thinking, I acted on the plan.

The quern materialized in my core, and at the same moment, the silvery leaf flew over it and covered it with its silver shine. I had less than a minute with a silver leaf before its power was spent; I hope I will be able to deal with it before that.

Raaa!

Just as I finished with my preparations, the first ghost with a monster face appeared in my armor, and I immediately sent it to my core without letting it touch my soul. If this plan fails, I will be giving it an even better pathway to my soul, where it will face next to no resistance devouring it.

The moment it disappeared, it directly appeared the first plate of the quirn, which began to spin to refine it, and due to the supression of silver leaf, it was not able to break out of it.

The silver leaf is a legacy treasure I had gotten from the pyramid, and it seemed to be perfectly crafted for me.

It does what its name says; it suppresses the space or could be used opposite effect. I had used it earlier against Grimm Vidette as I captured it inside my core; without it, there was a high chance the violet vidette would have torn through the space of my core with its power.

For the ghosts, the leaf is not only suppressing the space but also strengthening the powerful spatial formations I had carved on it.

Doing something like it for one ghost or even ten is an excessive effort, but for a hundred, it is not. My efforts might not be enough to contain the hundreds of ghosts.

These ghosts are devouring curse wraiths; they are the lowest of level, but they are still extremly dangerous. They are made from the essence of Grimm Monsters and sacrificed through the secret method, which from what I had read, is pretty gruesome.

All those faces of humans, monsters, and Grimms that are seen are beings this Parrotman had sacrificed to make these ghosts; it did not spare its own kin for such gruesome murder.

While I was angry at it for what it did to humans, I understood the reality and knew I was powerless against it. It is a Grandmaster, and I am standing against it; taking its attack without dying is already a miracle.

Raaa!

The second ghost came at me, a fraction of a second after the first ghost, and as it entered inside my armor, I had sent it directly into the quirn.

Raa Raa Raa

One after another, ghosts came, and I sent them directly into my quirn, they are coming at extremely fast speed, and I am sending them all into the quern while weakening my aura and even staggering a little; I am sure it is sensing something happening to its ghost, and I don’t want to take any action against me, hence the acting.

Shake Shake Shake

Soon, half of the ghost entered the quern, and it bore it, but then things began to change when three forth of ghosts entered inside the quern and shaking got stronger and stronger with each shake, and by the time the last entered inside it, it felt like it could break explode any time.

It had truly reached its breaking point.
