Chapter 2031 - Healing
Chapter 2031 – Healing
"It is quite beautiful, isn't it?" A familiar voice asked, shocking the hell out of me; what's even more shocking that little mist in front of me churned a little before transforming into my mother, and she did not look like something that is made of mist but like a real person, down to the aura.
"It looked like you have progressed quite a lot in your art," I said in amazement. "I had no choice, either that or death," She said, looking at the sea mist, which is grappling against the sea of a thick grey curse that is trying to consume her every second.
"How did you make such progress? If you did not mind me asking," I asked, feeling extremely curious. What she did was downright shocking, "I would never hide anything from you, my son," Mom said with a smile before looking ahead.
"My pregnancy with you was quite surprising, with a curse and difference of level between your father and me; it should not have happened, even if my powers were sealed, but it happened, and it had made me quite happy," She said while smiling in joy.
"But the happiness is short-lived, as I noticed that curse begin to destroy the formations that were sealing it and some of the curse's power had even infiltrated inside you and forming a consciousness,"
"Seeing that, I had immediately called Catherine, who owed me a favor, but even with her sealing abilities, all she was able to stop the more curse from infiltrating you, dealing with curse inside me was above her grade or anyone, seeing the speed at which it was getting stronger," She added.
Catherine she is referring to is aunt Georgia; she has one of the most powerful sealing types of Inheritance in the world.
"While Catherine was able to stop the infiltration, we were still in danger as the curse is growing stronger and would consume before you were born,"
"I did not much care for my life, but I wasn't going to let you get harmed by it, and so, I picked up my art which I had not used for years. It is the only thing inside me which hadn't been sealed completely, and the only thing that could help me," She said.
"It was much harder than I had thought. Till then, I had used Empire of Mist externally, never internally. Though I know it is possible from the information left behind by the previous users, but there is no guide; I had to figure it of all by myself."
"For more than a month, I had made nearly no progress, but I kept trying before I was finally able to make some progress. I build on that while practicing the mental method that came with the art, which is much hard to practice when the curse is actively sealing all your powers," She said with a laugh.
"The art had helped me more than I could imagine; I would have lived only for a few months, but now, I had lived for more than two decades and have two wonderful children and husband; I couldn't ask for more," She added with a bright, happy smile on her face.
"The curse is still spread inside you, and seeing the speed it is consuming you, it would kill you within a year," I said.
"I know, but I am not sad. I had a wonderful life, and I know you will not let anything happen to your father and sister," She said.
If she had the offensive or defensive type grand art like the Fortress of Mirrors, she would have been in much better condition. She might have been able to destroy the curse itself but defending, and destroying is not the strong suit of Empire of Mist; it is an illusion-type art that had some powers to affect reality.
It is already a shocking thing she was able to do this much with Empire of Mist and using it so efficiently that barely 1% of trickling out of her deepest part her.
"You will not die," I said factly, hearing that she just smiled.
While for others healing her may be impossible but not for me, the rule-bending power and my secret weapon give me a couple of good options to heal her.
There are two ways; one is a quick way, it would need me an hour to heal her, but it will leave her weakened, and even with the best possible resources, she will have to rest for at least a month before she could regain her past strength.
The second option is long and a little risky, but throught it, she would not have to rest for more than an hour, and her strength will also increse a little.
If it had been safe times, I would have chosen the first option, but now, I am choosing a little risky second option. If some unforeseen happens, I need mom to protect herself and her family, and Empire of Mist is very capable of doing that.
"I will start healing you, now," I said and moved out of her deeper space and went to the most outer part of her.
As I did, I brought out the strings and began to weave them into the runes before forming a formation. I am going to weave the formations through her whole body; this is the only way I could make sure to eliminate every speck of curse that will present in her body and soul.
Soon, I reached the formation that the teacher had crafted in my mother's body and began to unravel it and replace it with the formation made of my strings.
I do not need any other formations than mine; they will create interference when I activate my formation. Unraveling is quite hard, and they are one of the best healing formations teacher have created; if I had not been familiar with her style, I would not have been unraveling them as fast as I could.
I had only unraveled the formations of the teacher while I straight up destroyed the other formations.. It is much easier to destroy them than solve them.
