Chapter 1958 Fish In The Net

Chapter 1958: Fish In The Net

Crackle Crackle Crackle

After seventeen seconds, the crackling sounds begin to die down slowly; it still took another six seconds before it vanished, and by that, we have covered quite a distance from the Graveyard of the whispers.

Still, for a more than minute, Ashlyn kept the fire covering her and me as we traveled fast; it is a risk to travel while blazing in fire like that, but it is a risk we are willing to take. We will rather face ten leader class Tyrants than deal with the whispers.

The enemy you don't know anything about is the most dangerous one; you should not face it unless you know what it is and its limitations.

Thud!

Finally, after more than a minute, Ashlyn had put off that blazing fire, and I landed on the ground. We are quite lucky that despite blazing like lighthouse and flying, we were not discovered by the monsters or Grimm Monsters, but I don't want to push that luck any further.

After I jumped down from Ashlyn, I laid against the wall and closed my eyes. My whole body was sweaty; the danger I had faced was really too much; I did not want to take such a huge risk while I was in this ruin.

This time, I was lucky that Ashlyn had a way to deal with the whispers, but next time, I won't be that lucky. I should only select places whose danger I could survive on my own.

To be honest, I just want to activate my beacon or just wait for it to get activated on its own, but that would waste this precious opportunity; I have more than ten hours, and I should use it to collect as many as resources I could.

The curse-type resources here are extremly precious, useful for every other Tyrant there and me; I should collect them as much as I could.

I looked at the map and the list I had created and soon chose one of the safest places in glow palace; while my haul there would not be as big as what I had got from 'Graveyard of Whispers,' I would still get, rare and precious things from there.

The place is quite far, and I would need three to five hours, but I don't; I have time, and on the way, I could collect more resources.

With the plan made, I started to make a way toward that place, and as such, two hours have passed. I had covered half a distance and was quite surprised by loot which is very rare and in high demand back home; I had not expected I would find the Winsmoke Azaleas here.

Winsmoke Azaleas are not curse-type plants; these are strange plants that grow in an adverse environment with powerful and dangerous energies, and glow palace could be counted in one of the places it could grow since it ticks most of its boxes.

I do not need those flowers, but I heard councilman Harrison is in urgent need of them; they would be his early birthday present which is next week.

Chew Chew!

Suddenly Ashlyn chirped and chirped, and a vision of Grimm Monster appeared in front of me, and to my surprise, it was the same snow werewolf that I had fought not long ago, and seeing the direction it was moving, it seemed to be heading in a similar direction as me.

I was about to change my route as it was an instinctive reaction seeing the leader class Tyrants when I suddenly stopped.

I do not have to fear it; I had fought against it and survived without a scratch. While it might be holding on to some power earlier, I am still confident that I will be able to fight it without getting much injured and would not have any problem running away from it.

With that thought, I decided to try my hands on it; I needed an essence rose made from the essence of the leader class Tyrant; it would help me a lot in my research, not to mention its storage would have been filled with the amazing things.

With my mind made, I did not waste acting on it and power up my stealth formation at highest and released tens of strings from my hands as I started to follow it.

I could feel Ashlyn's gaze as she looked at me accusingly, but I decided to ignore that and focus on the dangerous but juicy targets.

I had never used my vines on someone such powerful and would not have dared to do that; if I did not have confidence that I could survive if it was to discover my strings.

I followed it as I released more and more strings as I did; I was able to observe it carefully and found this Grimm Monster is far more skittish than me.

It would change the direction; if it saw the slightest sign of monsters, it would not even engage with any Grimm Monster it saw. It is also quite greedy, far more than me; it would collect everything precious, as long a thing is useful to Tyrant, it would collect it.

It also seemed to have excellent knowledge about the plants too, as it would always use the correct harvest method; I had never seen him spoil any plant by using the wrong method.

Seventy minutes passed by, and finally, a smile appeared on my face; there was also a degree of surprise in my eyes too. I had not thought I would be successful, even when I used the full might of bloodline power and rule-bending power.

It is a leader class I am dealing with who had vast experience and powerful senses, but despite that, my vines were victorious, and the best thing is the Grimm Monster doesn't know it is about to die, and vines are not exactly known to give a painless death.

They are the worst, and I hope no humans suffer such pain as these Grimm Monsters do when they get harvested.
