I woke up feeling good and wanted to stay in bed for a few more minutes, but it was not a luxury I have.
It had been two weeks since I have come to the Javelin, and my days are busy, more than I liked.
I seeped my soul sense down and there are people, sitting in every chair available in the waiting room and more people are waiting outside.
I have also hired three more assistants to manage the load.
Five of them work from dawn, as that is when we would open the door of the clinic and see thousands of patients every day.
I see less than a hundred patients every day; only those who need my help.
The rest will get the return reply of the diagnostic and treatment plan. Which is easily followed with instructions I have left; only a quarter of them require the healer’s help.
Which my assistants provide.
Five of them, take the patients to the med beds and scan them, and use other tests.
All of them are being recorded in the crystal, which I review at twelve in the afternoon with my assistants and create the treatment plan.
From late afternoon to evening, I see the patients that truly require my attention.
The heavy crowd surprised me. I had expected some, but not such as this.
I am happy about it as I get to collect a large amount of data. Which had been impossible since coming into this world. As I couldn’t sneak my seeds into people and scan them without their permission.
Today is special, because, in two hours. My clinic will have a first breakthrough.
I would have done it a week ago, but twelve days is the minimum waiting time for any clinic before the healer guild allowed it.
Most healers have to wait for months to do it, but I get to do it in twelve days. I have quite surprised when they accepted my request immediately.
I thought they would make me wait for at least a month before permitting me.
I had a plan for that. If that happens, but now I do not need to use any of them.
Hours passed, and it was twelve.
That is when two Sovereigns walked inside. They both peak Sovereigns like me and Grade 4.
My door opened and both of them entered inside.
“Healer Masd, Healer Boro, welcome to my humble clinic,” I said to the man and woman.
The man is an elf who looked to be in his early fifties. Handsome, with blue eyes, and blue hair. The woman beside him is short, about four feet tall, with grey skin and a stone horn on her head.
“Healer Brock, your clinic is anything but humble,” said the elf with a smile.
“Have all the preparations been made, Healer Brock?” asked the short woman, with no pleasantries.
She is direct, as my assistants told me about her.
“Yes, I was waiting for you two to arrive,” I said and got off my chair and led them to the second floor.
These two are representatives. The elf is from the healer’s guild, while the woman is from the city; they will be watching the breakthrough and nine after this.
The Sovereigns are an important part of the city’s strength. All healers who conduct the breakthrough are rigorously tested.
They will be with me for the ten breakthroughs, and I need a success of 70% to gain permission to conduct the breakthrough in my clinic.
The second floor has a huge hall, and in this hall is a large green stone disc.
It is a breakthrough formation, capable of conducting twelve breakthroughs simultaneously, but currently, there is only one that will happen.
“Healer Brock,” said the woman in her thirties, sitting in the center.
She is a Koala Beastwomen, with nervous and excited expressions on her face.
“How are you feeling Kaslanar?” I asked. “Little nervous,” she answered truthfully.
“Don’t be. Everything is perfect,” I said to her. “Thank you,” she said.
“If you are ready, we can start immediately,” I said.
Buzz!
To which she nodded and a moment later, the runic circle around her lit up as her breakthrough started.
“You shouldn’t give false hope to them, Healer Brock. State facts and nothing more,” said the short healer.
“I will remember that, Healing Boro” I replied. I wanted to say something else, but agreed. This woman will be responsible for the permission for the breakthroughs.
I don’t want to give her a reason not to let that happen.
Though, I have ways to deal with that. I rather not use them. I just want to collect the data peacefully and leave when it is time.
The resources mixed and merged, while the two healers watched.
Half an hour passed, and when it finished and filled runes begin to climb over her body.
If I had let my breakthrough formation at its full power. Her core would have started to consume the resources.
A few more minutes passed and finally, her core started to spin and take the resources inside. It is all happening very smoothly, without any problems.
From what I could see, there won’t be any problem.
While the breakthrough into the Sovereign is dangerous and unpredictable. This woman is likely to fail.
She had checked all the boxes and filled every requirement. I am even giving her something extra through the formation, which will increase the chances of her success even further.
“The breakthrough is going to take time; I plan to review the patient’s files and you two are welcome to join us,” I said to the two healers.
“I will gladly accept your offer, Healer Brock,” said the elf and turned to the woman, who nodded a moment later.
Seeing them, two of them agreed. I waved my hand and immediately, a table and a couple of chairs appeared.
The two healers sat on either side of me, while five of my assistants sat opposite.
“Jex,” I said, and the man placed a crystal on the table without saying anything.
A moment later, a huge meta-scan appeared above the table for all to see.
“The scan is quite detailed,” commented the elf. I smiled and turned to my assistants.
This scan is an amalgamation of data from twelve different tests. So, there is no surprise it being detailed.
I could have an even more detailed one, but it is sufficient for required purposes.
“What are problems you all could see?” I asked five of them.
“There are three, I can see Master Broke. First is energy circulation, there is a faint snag in mv 234. The second…” stated Loren.
I turned to Brock, who had only one new thing to add. Josar mentioned two problems, while the last two remained silent.
“You all missed seven more,” I said, and thirteen spots lit up across the meta-scan.
“Not all problems are an obstruction to breakthrough. Of these thirteen, only these two are,” I said and eleven disappeared, leaving only two.
“Now, tell me why these two will obstruct the breakthrough, and what could be done to resolve them?” I asked five of them, and each of them begin to present their view.
