3030 Escape
Six hours had passed since I was waiting for the monster to wake up and leave, but the bastard was still sleeping.
I am not having any problem, but I don’t like to stay in a place where the monster might discover me at any time. The formation is perfect, with the power varis stones, but still, I like to be somewhere safe.
I looked at the visual appearing in front of me before I once again focused on the hundreds of things in front of me.
I am experimenting on my rule power; the rule of mortality had many uses, from healing to stealth.
It is a rule power had the power of life and death, which means I could use these elements in stealth by melding into a place where both elements exist.
This ruin is filled with life energy, and the place I am are with death; I am finding a way to incorporate it into my stealth method, but till now, I have not found it anyway.
Though, I have leads on which I am working.
Hours passed, and I continued working on it while taking the reference from the books from the library, which told me it was very possible to do it.
It’s just that I could not use those ways because them being too advance, and I could require the aid of resources, which I do not have.
So, I have to find my way, using the knowledge in the books.
Nine hours had passed when I closed the books and put away items. I have used my research time, and it is, once again, time to focus back on the inheritance.
ROOOARRR!
Two hours passed when I suddenly monster opened its eyes and roared loudly before staring at the north, where it was sensing something. It started for a couple of seconds before turning to blur as it disappeared.
A minute passed, and it disappeared, even from Nero’s eyes, though Nero could feel its sense locked on the tree.
This is the reason why I had not tried to take all the fruits because the bastard had always had its eyes on them.
Even when its hunting, just yesterday, it slaughtered a group of monsters that had tried to go for the fruits while it was away on the hunt.
It treasures those fruits, and if I had been in its place, I would have done the same; they are too precious.
A few more minutes passed, and when Nero spoke the words I had been waiting to hear.
“Father, you can leave now; it is quite far away,” he said, and just as I heard, I opened my eyes and waved my hand, taking formation inside my storage before running away as much as speed is possible to do safely.
Ashlyn flew ahead of me, scouting the way while Nero remained on the watch.
A couple of minutes passed, and I have crossed five miles before slowing down as I once again entered the monster-dense area.
Those five miles were the territory of that salamander; nobody stays there. If it had caught me, it would have slaughtered me, as it did, but thanks to my monsters and my methods, I am safely out of its range, but I am not safe.
I will only be safe when I reach my safe spot, which would take me two to three days to reach.
A year ago, it would have taken me ten to fifteen days, with the sheer number of monsters I had to fight, not to mention the snail-like speed I had to maintain to move, but a year later, things changed.
Repeatedly getting caught by monsters had forced me to improve my method; every month, there would be an advancement in stealth, and even now, I am, I am focusing on improving it.
It is the only way I could cover the large area of this ruin without spending too much time following.
There are a huge number of places Ashlyn and Nero had found here. I want to visit them, as they not only provide the resources but also knowledge.
If I had stayed in one place and focused on my inheritance, I wouldn’t have made such progress. While the progress is not satisfactory to me, it is tremendous what I have accomplished.
I am only unsatisfied I have only because of the time, the time I have. If I had a year more, I would be hundred percent confident about creating the inheritance, but I only had two years, and one is already over.
Time passed as I crossed through the territory of one monster after another.
Ashlyn had killed many monsters residing in these places; it took a few days for another monster to take over it.
This place is jammed packed with monsters, despite a huge number dying every day.
The monster here is always fighting for territory, mates, and other things, but despite that, barely any change occurs in their populations.
This place is hell for the Grand Lords; even someone at the level of matron mavis and Rhaek would become desperate here.
It had become desperate, which is it ran away within a week, despite the huge greed it had for the resources for this ruin.
It had come for those resources and to find a chance to make a breakthrough above the limit, and the bastard had even found hints of it, but it had become so dangerous for it that it could not stay further.
It had promised to come back after its art was above its limit, but it had not.

It is a good thing; it had not; if it had happened, then it would have already wiped us away years ago.
Sigh!
Little more than two hours passed when I took a sigh of relief; Nero had finally left, and I thought he would try for the peaches.
I didn’t say anything about it to him; in the past year, I had learned to let them make their own decision.
Now, I barely voice my objection to anything, and even when I do, I do it like a suggestion rather than an order.
It took half an hour for Nero to reach me, and I increased my speed even further as I have got the two scouts.
With this speed, I would reach my permanent safe house even sooner.
A few hours passed, and barely any monster had sensed; those who sensed got killed by Ashlyn and Nero.
I am not the only one who has improved in the past year; they, too, have improved tremendously, even more than me.
Now, they took only a second or two to kill most monsters; only the powerful took more time.
Soon a day passed in the day, and I had only fought one monster; I usually fought only one or two monsters a day, which I think is enough.
BANNNG!
A few more hours passed, and I reached quite close to my permanent safe hour; two-three hours more, and I would be there, where I would finally be able to let my guard down.
Hun!
A little more than an hour passed when I sensed the monster coming toward me, specifically toward me.
It had sensed me.
