2930 Twenty-Seven
“…shift the people from Constance city and Barv City to the city bunker 367 and 414 of the Hargrave Region and al” Supreme Commander was giving the rescue orders when she stopped suddenly as the alert flashed in the screen in front of her.
It was not only her, but everyone had stopped talking and looked at the screen; the thing had lighted up.
It clearly means are going to come out of the thing, which is surprising as they had not thought, anyone would be coming before the top seven challenges were finished.
They thought the same when Lord Zaar and Lady H had come.
She really hoped that further people would not come before the top seven challenge was finished. As it might not seem like it, the battle is swinging in their favor, with Lord Zaar taking one Grimm Grand Lord after another.
She hoped to finish the war before the people who remained in the thing came out, as they could cause complications, and she did not want complications, especially the bad complication, but fate seemed to love them.
The people fighting above had also stopped, charging their attacks to full power, especially Grimms. They do not want to have another Zaar on their hand and would be killing any Grimm that came out of the thing with their most powerful attack.
If it is Grimm that came, then they will be defending them with their utter might.
A second felt like an hour as it passed slowly with all their focus on the thing, with hope the person that came out of it would be from their side and it would be a Grand Lord.
Finally, a second passed, and the being came out seeing the person; the expressions of the Supreme Commander and all the other humans couldn’t help but turn bad.
Seeing the Grimm with an aura of Grand Lord, the eyes of Lady Angela and other humans, Grand Lords’ eyes flashed in disappointment and anger, and they were about to launch the attack when suddenly another figure appeared, and this one was human.
She is not the only one who appeared; with her, another Grimm with an aura of Grand Lord.
People were stumped seeing three Grand Lords appearing one after another, but what had happened till now was the tip of the iceberg.
The real shock had yet to come.
A second hadn’t passed after the third person when another figure appeared and then another and then another, and soon, over ten people appeared, and they kept appearing with each having an aura of Grand Lord, during the whole world watched in shock.
Be it Grimms or humans, never have they seen such a thing or even dreamed of happening; each and every one of them is shocked; even peak Grand Lords like Rhaek and Matron Mavis are shocked.
The people kept coming till their number had reached twenty-six when finally, Grand Lords stopped appearing, and High-Grandmaster started, but nobody seemed to care about them, as everybody was still focused on the twenty-six Grand Lords that had appeared.
….
‘You will not regret it,’
“Well, I should finish this battle soon to join that party,” it said as it came out of shock, “It is a great party; I too will join it,” I said, with the shock still shaking my heart.
“Dead people don’t join the parties, Zaar,” said the old snake, “You have not killed me yet, old snake, and nor will you,” I said back while still focusing on the biggest battle our world had ever seen, it had one more Grand Lord, than the battle of three-half millennia not.
Not to mention, more people are joining; and as I finished here, I will be joining that battle soon. I mean, who wouldn’t be part of a historic battle where more than forty Grand Lords are fighting?
It is a direct way to imprint one’s name in annals of history.
We both focused our eyes on the Anrd once again; it had changed from a minute ago. The biggest Grimm Monster I had ever seen had shrunk considerably, and now it is thin as an old snake with lustreless wrinkly skin.
Even its shiny bronze tusks have lost their shine.
Over 70% of its life essence has already been drained, and the rest will be drained in half a minute; we both have that much time to read our methods before our methods clash.
I am making preparations, but I had more time than I had right now; I would have been more sure of my chances of surviving.
Old snake had far surpassed my expectation by sacrificing Anrd, and that made things extremely dangerous. The old snake and its curses could not do anything to me, but it all changed when you add the colossal amount of life essence.
Not just a pure life essence, but something more; I could see the life essence that is harnessed from the body of Anrd getting mixed with something very dangerous before it flooded into the runes covering my shields.
More than twenty seconds passed, and now huge Bronze Tusk Elephantman turned into a small sickly Grimms, who seemed like it did not have much to live, and I am writing; if the old snake kept harnessing its life essence, it wouldn’t be able to live for more than a few seconds.
“That’s enough; I can’t let you die yet; I still have a lot of uses for you,” said the old snake, and the blood-red formation turned off and seeped back into its skin
“Now t”
The old snake had turned me with a victorious smile when that smile froze, and it turned back toward the sickly Anrd, who was giving it the weak smirk, as its bloodline broke out of isolation and its power spread inside it before the bloodline phantom materialized behind it and it is angry.
ROARRRR!
It roared loudly as it tried to produce the life essence that had been drained away, but no matter how powerful the bloodline was, it will not be able to fill the life essence.
Over 95% of the life essence had been drained, and its potential had been destroyed; it could forget about ever advancing, hell gaining back its power would be a great challenge. Not to mention, the drainage had cut its life expectancy by a huge margin.
“You, you are the one who broke out the formations, aren’t you?” asked the old snake as it turned to me with eyes blazing.
“Yeah, it’s me,” I accepted with a bright smile on my face, “I wi” it shouted, but its shout cut mid-way once again as another shock appeared on its face.
pA(nD)A no ve1
It had appeared not only on the old snake; but also on Anrd.
“You!” It said through its fallen teeth as the rose enveloped it; the old snake tried to stop it but found it lost nearly all control over Anrd, and what little had remained had been fought by bloodline, which is paying no heed to me, the biggest danger.
It had taken less than a second for the rose of redemption to bloom, and the moment it did, the Anrd disappeared, despite the old snake focusing all the power of its domain to stop it.
