2729 Black Sharkman Fasra
“Fasra, try something better; I would have defended this attack even in my sleep,” I said as I crushed the last of thousands of huge jagged swords it had sent me. “And come closer; I am not going bite you,”
“Well, I might, but I am sure you are more than capable of defending against the tiny bite of this little human,” I taunted, which made it glare at me with its huge eyes. While I was defending against its attack, it had recovered the distance I had gathered on it and took steps back even further.
“Your tongue is sharp as ever,” It said, and a powerful bloodline aura blasted out of its body, so powerful that the monsters which have taken the steps toward us again stopped in their tracks.
“Last time, you got rescued; this time, there is no one here to rescue you; you will not survive,” It said, and huge drills of water materialized around it; there are more than thousands of them, and each one of was ten meters long and spinning very fast with such power that it is affecting the space.
If one looks clearly, one will see the faint spatial tears at the points of the drills.
“Drills of Maras!” It shouted, and thousands of drills came at me; they crushed through everything that was in their ways, from bounders to tress, everything got crushed. These drills are far more powerful than the last attack, and if I did not take it seriously, I am going to pay the price.
First Burst!
I activated the first burst and harnessed all its power; fasra had learned a lot from the last attack, and now, it is in no mood to hold back, and it would be wise if I did not hold back either.
The thousands of drills surrounded me from all directions before coming at me; I did not move from my spot as they came; instead, my weapons moved toward them.
BANNG!
A defeaning shockwave spread out as my lance crashed against the huge water drill, which was an attack of pure power. It did not explode or send energy at me, nor did it try to attack me with the energy; no, it had just pushed with sheer power.
Its power is so great that I felt strain from my string arm, and this is just a first attack, and there are thousands of more fractions seconds behind.
So, the couple of invisible strings moved out of my arm the moment it had clashed against my land and used their physical power to collapse the attack of the drill from within.
This feat is not easy, considering the attacks are very protected against such sabotage, though you could do it as long you have things amazing as strings and deep knowledge of how an attack works, which I have; even centuries-old monsters would struggle to compare against me in this department.
BANNG BANNG BANNG
The fractions of seconds later, the hundreds of drills on me and my weapons moved like phantoms, clashing against them and collapsing them under their own force.
Unlike the last attack, I am under quite the strain; the drills seemed endless, and I am trying to move my weapons flashed and faster, harnessing all the power I had. If I had been a few days ago, this attack would force me to use the power of the second burst, but I am now I am managing it with only the power of the first burst.
As I destroyed half of the attack, the Black Sharkman took greater control over its attack, trying to move its water drills in a predictable fashion, and instead of making things hard, it made things easy on me, and I began to destroy its attack at the much greater pace.
BANNG!
The last drill clashed against one of my shields before collapsing a moment later, and I turned to Black Sharkman, which was glaring at me madly.
It had widened the gap between us even more, and now, there is a mile of the gap between us, which did not make me feel better.
My strength had increased without a doubt, and I would easily defend against most of the long-range attacks of the Grimms, but I wanted to fight it in close range, which seemed quite difficult, considering it is hell-bent on keeping a distance and if I tried to move toward it, it would just attack me with barrage which will stop me on my tracks.
Still, I would see no way out of it in my current condition; If I wanted to fight it directly, I would need equally powerful attacks or enough power to directly crush these long-range attacks in a single moment.
I do not have such power, and it could be said, when it comes to the raw power, I am much weaker than it, and the only reason I could fight against it is due to my special abilities as my strings.
Though not all hope is lost, there are some ways I might be able to kill it, but I wanted it to fight directly, not just defend against these long-range attacks. If the killing had been the only motive of mine, I would have remained hidden and bound it to my strings, which would have given me a much higher chance to kill it.
“It seemed like you are scared, fasra, creating even more distance between us,” I said to it, “Come closer; we will fight weapons to weapons like real warriors do,” I taunted, but the only answer I got was even bigger glare.
Fasra did not attack me immediately as I had expected it to do; instead, it just kept staring as if it was thinking. It is quite uncommon behavior, but ever since I have come to this ruin, all the Grimms except for one had shown such behavior.
If I even suspected, they might be using some method of communicated and even investigated, like I am doing right now, but had got no answer.
“Dark Prison of Da’se!” It said softly, and tsunami-like power exploded out of it as the bloodline phantom appeared and seeped back into its body, increasing the power of its aura even further.
It immediately made me serious, as if I am not wrong; it had exploded with every ounce of power; it had meant an extremly powerful attack, likely the most power.
I had throught it would wait for a little, launch some other attacks before coming to this, but I guess it did not.
Hun!
I just thought what attack it would be when I saw hundreds of meters long, elaborate pillars materializing around me; there were twenty-four of them, they took less than a second to materised around me; the moment they did, I felt danger, only to huge discs materialized above and bellow the pillars, trapping me on my spot effectively.
Now, I am feeling regret not avoiding these pillars, which is clearly a trapping move with hidden offensive powers.
“Hahaha… Zaar, you are really too confident; I had thought it would be hard to trap you in this prison of mine, but you dumb overconfident bastard, had let yourself get caught without a struggle,”
“You have signed your own death warrant Zaar,” It said while laughing loudly.
