MMORPG: Rebirth as an Alchemist

603 Clash of Allies and Enemies

Despite Mike’s valiant efforts, it became increasingly evident that he was outmatched. Lira’s doubled strength and agility, coupled with her natural prowess as a hunter-elf, proved too much for him to handle.

She effortlessly deflected his attacks and swiftly retaliated with swift, precise strikes that found their mark.

Roz remained calm and composed, his gaze fixed on Mike. “Give up. I will spare your life if you apologize.”

Roz’s words held a sincerity and firmness that were hard to ignore. Despite the mistreatment he had endured from Mike and Black Lion, all he desired was a simple apology for their actions.

However, instead of heeding Roz’s offer, Mike’s pride and ego flared up. His face twisted with anger as he spat out his words, unleashing his frustrations. “Don’t act so high and mighty, you bastard! Your weird magic is useless! Have you forgotten how you begged me for work? You’re still that poor boy, groveling at my feet–!”

“Cut your trap!” Lira cut in, anger in her voice. With one final, decisive strike, Lira landed a blow that sent Mike sprawling to the ground. His body ached, his vision blurred, and his spirit broken. He had fought with every ounce of his strength, but it was not enough.

“Hmp! You’re the loser, you idiot! You @$%*!” Lira cursed and growled. She was angrier than Roz, like she was the one who got insulted.

“What the hell is he doing?!” Invayne seethed with frustration as she watched Mike meet his demise, his form disintegrating into particles.

Scar, however, seemed more intrigued by Roz’s actions than concerned for Mike’s fate. He couldn’t help but wonder about Roz’s class.

While the others engaged Ren and Isolde in a heated battle, effectively keeping them occupied, Scar took a momentary break from the fight and approached Roz.

“You,” Scar addressed him with curiosity in his voice. “What is your class?”

Roz responded with a hint of defiance in his tone. “Is it really that important?”

Meanwhile, Lira was still in her monster form, wary of any tricks Scar might have up his sleeve. She tightened her paws, ready for any unexpected developments.

“You were once a member of Black Lion, weren’t you?” Scar inquired, his gaze fixed on Roz. “According to Mike, you were classless back then. But it seems things have changed.”

Roz remained silent, his expression unreadable.

“How about this?” Scar enticed, his voice laced with temptation. “Would you consider rejoining Black Lion as a regular member? You’ll receive a monthly salary ranging from two thousand to ten thousand, along with free living expenses. It all depends on your usefulness to the guild.”

While it was indeed a tempting offer, Roz weighed his options. He knew that he could potentially earn even more in World Conqueror, and what he valued about the guild was its flexible schedule and freedom.

Despite the tempting offer and the allure of a substantial monthly salary, Roz held firm in his decision. No amount of money could persuade him to join Black Lion.

What he had achieved and obtained, he owed it much to Leon and Ren’s guidance and the support of his current guild, World Conqueror.

During the darkest moments of his life, it was Leon who extended a helping hand. And now, with a rare class and the ability to stand on equal footing in the game, those who had once discarded him were now seeking his return?

Not a chance!

Roz couldn’t shake off his lingering doubts. What if he became expendable once again? Would Black Lion abandon him without a second thought?

Roz was no innocent fool. He understood the harsh realities of the world and the transience of loyalty.

His decision was rooted in a mix of pride, anger, and self-preservation. And even if others questioned his choice, he knew that he couldn’t be blamed for harboring resentment towards those who had discarded him before.

“If you have acquired a rare class, the offer will go up,” Scar continued. “What do you say?”

Roz’s answer came with a spell, [Create Monster]. And since he had already acquired [Double Cast], he created two at once.

A maid and a Frankenstein Ogre emerged from thin air.

The maid had dark skin and straight shoulder-length hair. She was dressed in an elegant maid outfit, complete with frills and aprons. Her smile was wide, reaching her star-shaped, hallowed eyes.

This maid monster possessed an otherworldly beauty, her appearance almost ethereal and scary. Her gaze was filled with a mixture of innocence and mischievousness.

Another was the Giant Frankenstein Ogre. It was a massive creature, towering over the maid and exuding an aura of raw power.

Its monstrous form is a combination of various body parts skillfully stitched together. Its hulking frame was covered in mismatched patches of flesh, giving it a grotesque and intimidating appearance.

The ogre’s skin had a sickly greenish hue, contrasting sharply against the pristine uniform of the maid. Bolts protruded from its neck and limbs, serving as a testament to its artificial nature. Its eyes glowed with a malevolent light, filled with a mixture of rage and primitive intelligence.

Each step the ogre took sent tremors through the ground, causing the surrounding area to shake. Its muscles rippled with incredible strength, giving the impression that it could crush anything in its path with ease.

A sweat tickled at the side of Scar’s face, but he had to admit that he was really intrigued by Roz’s class. “Is this your answer?”

“You didn’t want me at my worst. It’s only right, that you can’t have me at my best,” Roz answered and initiated the attack.

Despite its monstrous visage, the ogre displayed a surprising level of agility and coordination. Its movements were surprisingly fluid, belying its brute strength. With each swing of its massive fists, the ogre unleashed devastating blows, causing the very air to tremble and crackle with energy.

“It’s only natural to have enemies,” Scar simply said. “Cang Lu, Invayne, and you should be able to take care of them. Meanwhile, the rest of us, we’ll take care of Ren and Isolde.”

“Huh? Who died and made you a leader?” Cang Lu was quick to protest.

“Do as he said,” Angelica uttered.

“Like I said, I’ll take care of that kid,” Cang Lu was quick to answer back. “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of this real quick. That kid might have a weird class, but he’s no match to me and my sword!”

“Shut up and get ready to attack!” Robert growled.
