Chapter 1876 - 1876 A Familiarity
1876 A Familiarity
Huo Yao walked up in front of Meng Jue as she pondered.
Meng Jue was looking curiously at the security checks not far from them, but now, he veered his eyes. He looked at Huo Yao. “All done?”
Saying this, he nodded politely to Min Yu and greeted him.
“Uh huh.” Huo Yao knew Meng Jue was here for the robot, so she asked Min Yu about the location of the shipping department.
As she asked, Zhuo Yun appeared out of nowhere and walked over to show them the way.
Meng Jue walked up beside Huo Yao. After taking a couple of steps, he turned his head to glance in the direction of the security checkpoint.
The people from the archaeological team were undergoing security checks one after another. From this angle, only their backs could be seen.
Huo Yao noticed Meng Jue looking behind, so she could not help asking, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” Meng Jue shook his head and simply said, “I just found someone familiar.”
Huo Yao raised her brow and looked up in the same direction. It was not crowded at the security checkpoint and the archaeological team only consisted of six to seven people. By this time, most of them had already passed the checkpoint.
He saw someone familiar. Was it someone from the archaeological team?
Huo Yao pondered for a couple of seconds and asked, “Do you know people from the Archaeology Association?”
“No, I don’t.” Meng Jue had always resided in Country M. His work revolved around providing top network and communication services. Why would he know anyone from the Archaeology Association?
Hang on. Papa was talking to some guy. Was he from the archaeological team?
For a moment, Meng Jue could not understand where the sense of familiarity came from, so he did not continue with the subject.
Before long, they arrived at the airport shipping counter.
The staff had already been told about the package, so when they got to the counter, no one stopped them.
Meng Jue was no longer able to stay calm. When Zhuo Yun removed the packaging, he went over to help without hesitation.
Huo Yao felt her stupid son was simply embarrassing and touched her forehead. She walked to the side and took out her phone.
She sent a compressed file that she had deliberately saved to Meng Jue’s email account.
After sending the file, Huo Yao replied to a few messages. When she raised her head, she saw Meng Jue manhandling the robot.
Why did she give this man the chance to molest an innocent robot?
Meng Jue had all his attention on the robot. The moment he tapped on the built-in commands, he looked like a country bumpkin who had never seen the world.
The robot contained an activation program, so a few minutes later, Meng Jue put it down reluctantly and turned to look at Huo Yao. “How long did you spend on the human sensor database?”
Huo Yao shrugged. “About a few days?”
About a few days?
Complicated emotions flooded Meng Jue’s heart instantly.
He always knew Huo Yao was an expert at writing programs. The work she had done was so advanced that no one would have thought to do the same.
Sometimes, he wondered if she was really human. With her around, other geniuses could only settle as second best.
Meng Jue felt jealous inside. He touched the robot’s arm again. “Too bad I can’t turn it on to see what it can do in person.”
Huo Yao glanced at him. “I have already sent you the program.”
Meng Jue felt slightly comforted. He had stolen the robot, but it was no loss.
When he got back, he would input the program into a chip and scare everyone in the company to death.
