Chapter 437: Invitation

Within the Calm Sea Prefecture Capital, the biggest and most extravagant palace, the Calm Sea Prefecture Master’s palace, served as the home of the Long Shi Clan.
The Long Shi Clan’s territory occupied an area of millions of square kilometers. The palace extended endlessly into the distance. Tremendous amounts of legion soldiers drove carriages through the sky as they patrolled the territory. Several rare Deity-level organisms also lived here. The closer one was to the core of the territory, the stricter the security would be—with more armor-clad World Deities standing at various checkpoints and periodically sweeping their gazes across the region.
The entire Calm Sea Prefecture rested in the palm of the Calm Sea Prefecture Master, and the legion directly subordinate to him was significantly stronger than that of the Starfield Patrol Army, with even World Deities filling the middling and upper ranks.
After all, being a prefecture master…
His own combat power could easily build an enormous empire! However, prefecture masters would rather be under the power of His Majesty Bloodshed God Emperor, as His Majesty would naturally not treat them unfairly.
Hou~ Deep within one of the magnificent palace halls in the Long Shi Clan’s territory, there resided an enormous pithole with three shackled Deity world creatures. Each and every one of them had four hooves, blood-red scales, and blood-red vertical eyes. These were none other than the famous Blood-eyed Fragment World Beasts, extremely precious World Deity-level organisms!
Just like Senior Xi Wei from Crimson Rock Mountain, whom was a World Deity realm plant life with immense power at her fingertips...
These Blood-eyed Fragment World Beasts were immensely precious. If properly groomed, a single beast could match the might of a stage two World Deity.
Beside the pithole, a teenager dressed in a luxurious black robe leaned against a railing. He tossed many precious fruits down to the beasts, causing them to leap up and try to snatch the fruits from the air. Occasionally, they would battle against each other for the sake of obtaining one.
"Second Prince, you desired my presence?" A tall, thin old man came hurrying over.
"Mn." The luxuriant-looking black-robed teenager nodded lightly.
The Calm Sea Prefecture Master was not actually a human! He was some sort of mutated beast from the dragon clan. He only ever had two children his entire life, the famous Crown Prince and Second Prince! Although the Second Prince’s combat power was weaker, as he was merely a stage one World Deity, the Calm Sea Prefecture Master quite liked his children. For example, these three Blood-eyed Fragment World Beasts had been acquired in a fortuitous encounter by the prefecture master, and he had given them to his own children.
The Second Prince also liked those three beasts of his and had paid the utmost attention in taking care of them.
"The result for this God Palace Myriad Flower Feast’s ranking battle is out, with the same old rules being used." The luxuriant-looking black-robed teenager continued overlooking at the three Blood-eyed Fragment World Beasts below as he ordered, "Invite those who are ranked in the top ten to my palace. I want to host a banquet."
"Yes," the tall and thin old man acknowledged.
"Is there anyone special among the top ten that needs to be noted?" the teenager casually asked.
The tall, thin old man respectfully answered, "There are three who should be watched.
"The first is the ranked one Deity called Dong Bo. According to our intelligence report, he has cultivated for about 2,300 years, yet he is ranked first. Furthermore, he is also a Material World Lord." The tall and thin old man added, "He is someone worthy of treating properly."
"Material World Lord?" The teenager nodded."Interesting. He has also cultivated for only a mere two thousand years or so. He is truly young and might possibly acquire a grade one Deity Heart within ten thousand years."
A cultivator being able to grasp a grade one Deity Heart within ten thousand years was second in status to only the grade one True Meaning Transcendents. Such cultivators could easily become a personal disciple of a powerful existence!
"What about the other two?" the luxuriant-looking, black-robed teenager asked.
"The other one is the ranked nine Seventh Mei Yu." The tall, thin old man elaborated, "This is news this old housekeeper obtained from the prefecture master; supposedly, that Seventh Mei Yu…is in reality the seventh daughter of Monarch Mo Xue."
"Seventh daughter of Monarch Mo Xue? Who would have thought this daughter of Monarch Mo Xue to be so formidable." The teenager nodded.
"The final one of note is the ranked two Drunk Guest; he is none other than the personal disciple of Yu Gong," the tall, thin old man finished.
"Yu Gong?"
The teenager turned around with slight signs of shock. "Yu Gong, that is a powerful existence! That Drunk Guest has already cultivated for over twenty thousand years and has yet to become a World Deity, yet he is a personal disciple of Yu Gong?"
"Right." The old man nodded. "This intelligence was gathered only after news of him attaining the second position had been reported up to the God Palace. It seems that Yu Gong likes him very much and has decided to accept him as his personal disciple."
"Drunk Guest?" The luxuriant-looking black-robed teenager lightly commented, "This is clearly just a title for him. Things are getting interesting. Personal disciple of Yu Gong, eh."
Disciples of powerful existences had differing statuses too.
Being an honorary disciple of a powerful existence? That was too ordinary a rank and shouldn’t even be mentioned. Such a cultivator would most likely be unable to obtain any chances of getting pointers from the powerful existence.
As for inner disciple? They had, at the very least, a chance of getting some mentoring.
Personal disciple! Those cultivators were truly regarded as important by powerful existences, with some being treated as if they were their children. These personal disciples of powerful existences, everyone was very vigilant in regards to these experts… During some battles or fights within the Deity world, it meant little if those honorary disciples and inner disciples died since battles truly happened too often. If any personal disciple were to be included, however, nobody would dare to easily kill them as it would incur the wrath of a powerful existence!
Powerful existences accepted very few personal disciples. Typically, the total number of personal disciples accepted by any powerful existence throughout their entire life could be counted on one’s fingers.
"This is getting interesting. It seems that our Calm Sea Prefecture will become increasingly lively in the future." The black-robed teenager smiled.
"Mn, Her Highness Seventh Mei Yu will most likely be returning to the Mo Xue Empire afterward. Dong Bo and Drunk Guest, however, will most likely have arrangements made for them to return to their home by the God Palace, but only if they prove successful in the future. They will surely gain a high status in our Calm Sea Prefecture," the tall, thin old man concluded.
"All of them have huge potential and should stand by my side. Hurry and make arrangements; send out invitations for them to visit," the teenager ordered.
"Yes," the tall, thin old man acknowledged.
The teenager garbed in black continued to observe those three Blood-eyed Fragment World Beasts within the enormous pithole. "Calm Sea Prefecture is truly becoming interesting." Even though the prefecture master was in possession of great combat power, was known to control everything within the prefecture, and was respected by many organizations, one could never be too careful! Ultimately, this territory belonged to the Bloodshed God Palace, as one of many territories under His Majesty. Nobody could do as they wished.
Even an ordinary legion soldier with an entry rank could not casually kill someone.
Even if the Calm Sea Prefecture Master was stronger, he could not casually kill others. Within the prefecture, there was a separation of powers, as was natural. Although the prefecture master himself paid little attention to such power struggles, those who were merely just a stage one World Deity, like the ‘Second Prince,’ deemed such matters to be of extreme importance! After all, the stronger one’s power, the greater the amount of attainable freedom and happiness.
Within Xue Ying’s cavern.
Ever since the intelligence report revealed his cultivation period to be a mere 2,300 years, the number of World Deities visiting him increased explosively! In the past, those who ranked first would usually have cultivated for a million or so years and could easily become a stage one, possibly a stage two, World Deity. Such a person was not someone many World Deities would come and visit.
But now…
They acknowledged Xue Ying’s youth and that his future would be even brighter than they expected. In the future, Xue Ying would most likely have a high status within Calm Sea Prefecture, and many World Deities would have to work under the whim and fancy of Xue Ying. While Xue Ying was still weak, they would naturally come and send gifts while befriending him; when Xue Ying became strong, he would most likely not care about such gifts anymore.
"Ze ze ze, not only are World Deities coming to visit you, even the Second Prince of Calm Sea Prefecture has sent an invitation over," Purple Thunder Emperor praised.
Xue Ying alo gazed at the black invitation card in his hand. It was imbued with a Deity imprint, which formed the words: ‘Long Shi.’
"I’ve heard that during every God Palace Myriad Flower Feast, the Second Prince of Calm Sea Prefecture will invite the top ten ranked experts from the ranking battle over for a banquet." Xue Ying laughed. "Earlier, that World Deity who came to deliver the invitation also mentioned that I can bring two people at most with me. Who among you are willing to go?"
The many ancestral Deities of Xia Clan shook their head profusely after hearing that.
"Not going, not going."
"If you can only bring two, then who will go? Definitely not me."
"You should bring along mage Jing QIu with you. We shouldn’t disturb you two."
The many Deities of the Xia Clan nodded.
Xue Ying smiled, shifting his gaze to his wife beside him, "Jing Qiu, how about you come with me?"
"Of course." Jing Qiu smiled. "I must go and experience such things."
The next day, an extravagant, black carriage landed by the entrance of Xue Ying’s cavern, pulled by nine lifeforms. Ten black-armored legion soldiers sat atop the carriage alongside a green-robed carriage driver, who respectfully shouted out when they reached the cavern entrance, "Sir Dong Bo, we are following the orders of our master to escort Sir Dong Bo to the banquet."
The door to the cavern opened, and Xue Ying and Jing Qiu walked out side-by-side.
Upon seeing the carriage, Xue Ying could not help but sigh inwardly. Each beast pulling the carriage was significantly more expensive than the Tapir Beast he had previously met. This carriage was far more extravagant than the one belonging to Soaring Cloud Lake’s Young Master, yet this carriage was merely being used to escort guests. This Second Prince of Calm Sea Prefecture was truly someone extraordinary.
"I’ll have to trouble everyone. Let’s go." Xue Ying walked up to the carriage with his wife and took a seat.
The ten legion soldiers accompanying the carriage were there as bodyguards.
The green-robed carriage driver began driving the carriage, urging the nine beasts to rapidly charge forward and pull the carriage with them as they flew through the vast sky like a meteor.
