Seven days passed.
William departed for the west. Nobody accompanied him.
A week ago, Odom had revealed his true identity to him. But William did not punish him. Instead, he promised Odom his help in reinstating the Lonely Mountain Empire when the opportunity arose.
However, the City of Dawn did not yet have the power to help Odom.
But hearing the Lord say such heartwarming words, Odom was filled with gratitude. He beat his own chest and howled. He wanted to repay the Lord with his undying loyalty.
The relationship between William and Odom became stronger. This sudden change shocked people as they came out of the forest.
It was late summer and the temperature inside the Blackleaf forest was normal. Even during wintertime, it also remained within the expected range.
The Blackleaf forest had a rainforest feel.
But was it a rainforest?
No, it was not.
Even though it rained quite a lot, the quantity was still not large enough to qualify as a rainforest.
But it was about to rain soon.
When William left the City of Dawn, the second round of sowing had started.
In this place, where there were 330 days of high temperature, it was possible to sow three times a year.
But William did not agree to such a practice. It resulted in too much damage to the farmlands.
Under his regime, the methods used by farmers in agriculture were different from before.
The most important one being the usage of ‘fertilizers’.
There were many bathrooms in the City of Dawn. The bowels of 60,000 residents resulted in quite a substantial amount. But the commoners did not believe that burying the foul-smelling feces would cultivate a high-quality produce.
They felt helpless as they thought that the Lord had listened to the false words of some mages.
The commoners had no choice but to cover their noses while burying the feces.
Torrential rain fell.
And pit-pattering sounds filled the environment.
William, dressed in the Thunder equipment set, did not brave the storm to continue on his journey. He went by the roadside and found a tree with large leaves to use as shelter for his horse and himself.
“What false words are they talking about? I’m just not willing to divulge any more.” William knew his limits. The game was very realistic. Hence, the methods used in the real world could be used in the game.
If he didn’t have the NPC status, he would have believed he was reborn in an alternate world.
And not reborn in a game world.
If things that did not belong to this world were to appear.
Hopefully, other people would not be that curious.
Perhaps future players would discover the history, and the person responsible for using the feces.
What kind of players would?
The ones to find it would be the highly curious and bored players who looked everywhere for gossip and the unorthodox things.
William did not dare to divulge any advanced information. He could only use some real-world techniques discreetly.
Fortunately, the game world already had paper-making, wine brewing and compass technology. So he did not have to use too much effort to increase the productivity of food production in his territory.
“Normal people can never figure out that I’m a gamer who transmigrated to become an NPC. However, it is better to be safe than sorry. I have to let the ‘false words of the mages’ take credit for the use of feces.” William ate his dry ration and sipped his water twice. He gazed at the rain which ran wild for an hour before it abated.
Then he led his horse and continued his journey on the muddy path.
The path that was constructed with much troubles had become difficult to walk after the rain.
He was taking one step at a time while keeping an eye on his back. It gave an impression of heaviness.
It was because he was trying very hard to survive.
He was a reborn entity with secrets that couldn’t be revealed.
In this magnificent world of Gods and magic, William only had the option to lay low and survive. He had to make use of his time to become stronger and gain a firm foothold in this world.
He had to fawn.
It was because he was afraid of dying. He had to find a protective shelter while he was weak and vulnerable.
He had to be tough.
Because he had to let his followers feel the power of their Lord.
He did not want to be the sacrificial lamb of the warring Human nations.
He did not want to be engulfed by the coming darkness.
He did not want to be a nobody in the future game versions. He did not want to be like those slaves at the mercy of their masters!
Because he was a reborn entity with numerous fatal secrets, if he were to be discovered, he would be captured, tortured and studied!
So.
He had to become strong and very powerful.
In this world, there were Dragons that could extend their wings and rule the skies.
In another dimension, there were Gods and Devils waiting to come into existence!
In the horrifying underworld, countless creatures of darkness were thinking of invading the large continent.
“Only if I become a powerful entity, will I be able to control my destiny.” William’s confidence was like his footprints which were taken one at a time. The footprints became deeper and firmer with each step.
All reborn entities and transmigrators who found themselves in an alternate world would not find it easy to survive.
The survivors had to be optimistic when facing other people.
They had to make use of their tone and actions to present themselves as powerful.
Who could understand the transmigrators? How were they feeling, happy, lonely or helpless?
“So… these are the reasons why I’ll become a fawning dog. Hmm, it’s enough!” William smiled in content
He loved to design his character and use his imagination to make it perfect. It would serve as the foundation for his future direction.
For a person to grow.
He needed more than just a goal.
He had to have a bold heart.
Of course, an intelligent brain was also necessary.
It was hard to travel on rain-drenched paths.
William traveled alone and mishaps occurred incessantly. Rain would fall upon him as though the rain clouds followed him, while there was no rain in other locations.
He discovered this strange phenomenon when he climbed atop a tree.
The Lord knew very well about his luck that was only worth three points. If he did not travel with other companions who had better luck, he would encounter mishaps after mishaps.
“What should I do?”
William did not want anybody to discover his dirty look…
Fortunately, he reached his destination in just one day.
Before anyone could find him, the muddy William quickly dived into a small lake to clean himself.
He had to look presentable. With the bonuses of his equipment and the appearance, his charm was almost 140 points.
Mud staining the pieces of equipment did not decrease their combat power, but the charm factor associated with them would be reduced significantly.
After the much needed cleaning
When he lowered his head and peered into the lake, he was shocked.
“I have become more handsome…”
He could not help but wonder. Is there no limit to my good looks?
Fortunately, the Lord was full of composure. He took a deep breath and entered the Blue Moon Town in his most handsome and graceful demeanor.
