“Of course not. We’re very honored that such a beauty is gracing our little gathering with her presence,” Tang Zui quickly said before anyone else could speak.

Su Qianxun was extremely nervous. She was very afraid that Lan Qingcheng would find out about her relationship with Long Sijue. She suddenly rose and said, “Sir Jue, your wine.”

Long Sijue still refused to take the glass. He continued to stare at her, and it was obvious from his gaze that he was starting to become annoyed. Lan Qingcheng acted as if she just realized that Su Qianxun was there and said, “Hey, Qianxun. You’re here too. Why don’t you pass me the glass? I’ll give it to him.”

Lan Qingcheng’s words helped Su Qianxun out of her predicament. She turned and passed the wine glass to Lan Qingcheng. “Sorry to trouble you, Miss Lan.”

The moment Su Qianxun finished speaking, she walked a few steps away and sat on the couch beside them. Meanwhile, Lan Qingcheng sat down beside Long Sijue like it was the most natural thing in the world to do.

“Qianxun, don’t mind him. This is just how Jue’s like. He doesn’t really like to mingle with strangers.” Lan Qingcheng acted like the hostess of the household, as though she was already Long Sijue’s wife.

“Of course not.” Su Qianxun forced an awkward smile.

For a moment, the atmosphere between them became a little strange.

“Miss Lan, are you here for a gathering too?”Tang Zui asked with a smile.

“Yeah, a very boring high school reunion. If I had known that you guys were here, I wouldn’t have stayed there for so long.” Lan Qingcheng’s smile was extremely sweet.

Tang Zui chuckled awkwardly and handed a glass of juice to Su Qianxun.

Su Qianxun was about to take the glass of juice, but a large hand beat her to it. Long Sijue took the glass of juice and placed it in front of Lan Qingcheng. He glanced at Tang Zui in annoyance.

Tang Zui only remembered then that Su Qianxun was having her period and was not supposed to consume cold drinks. There were ice cubes inside the glass of juice he handed to her earlier.

Lan Qingcheng and Su Qianxun did not know what was going on though. Lan Qingcheng felt a surge of joy and thanked Long Sijue in a sugary tone.

Meanwhile, Su Qianxun found the whole incident rather awkward. She rose and said, “Excuse me, I need to use the bathroom.”

Tang Zui watched as Su Qianxun left. He felt a little despondent. ‘It’s obvious that Lan Qingcheng is deliberately putting on an act. This woman probably already knows about the relationship between that chick and Long Sijue.’

There were bathrooms in the banquet room, but Su Qianxun did not feel like going there. She wanted to leave the banquet room to take a breather. She would suffocate if she continued to stay inside there.

The bathroom outside the banquet room was under repair. Su Qianxun truly needed to use the bathroom, so she went towards the stairs and headed to the bathroom upstairs.

A young woman was walking out of the bathroom as she entered. When Su Qianxun saw that, she went in without worries.

Su Qianxun simply picked a cubicle and went inside. Just as she was about to start urinating, she felt something dripping down from above.

She raised her head and looked up. When she saw a man above her, she was so shocked that her soul almost flew out of her body. Before she could scream, the man swiftly jumped down and aimed a gun at her.

“Don’t make a sound, or else I’ll kill you!” The man stared coldly at her.

Su Qianxun widened her eyes and shook her head forcefully. The man looked at her with furrowed eyebrows. He suddenly wobbled, almost losing his balance. When she looked down, only then did the young woman realized that there was a patch of blood on his shirt where his lower belly was.

“Are you injured? I’ll get you some medication. I swear that I won’t scream. Please let me go.” Su Qianxun did not know how she mustered the courage to negotiate with an outlaw.

“Shut up and get up!” Even though the man was injured, he still emanated a shockingly powerful aura.

“Can you turn around first, then? How else am I going to get up?”

The man ignored her words. He grabbed her by the arm and pulled her, forcing her to get up from the toilet bowl. Su Qianxun was extremely vexed. She pulled up her underwear in a flustered manner. Fortunately, she was wearing a dress that day. If she had worn trousers that day, the man would have seen her private part!
