Chapter 3109 - 3109 Interrogation
3109 Interrogation
Lord Dai had to put some pressure on the warden. “If you won’t say anything, let one of your men explain it.”
There were ten men who worked under the warden.
The warden panicked a little because he knew he couldn’t cover for Dongfang Ziyun anymore. She was probably dead anyway, so he didn’t need to worry about her coming after him.
At that thought, the warden said loudly, “It was Miss Dongfang! She put him here!”
Feng Wu asked, “What about his wounds?”
“They’re her doing, too!” The warden said loudly. “She told us to torture and interrogate Chen Ziyun.
“Yes, it was her. She gave the order.”
Feng Wu smiled. “What did you try to get out of him?”
The warden hesitated.
Feng Wu said, “Answer me.”
The warden said, “Miss Dongfang said Chen Ziyun was your minion. We should break his leg just to humiliate you!”
Feng Wu was furious but didn’t let it show. She only smirked. “What crime did Chen Ziyun commit?”
The warden didn’t dare speak a word.
Feng Wu said, “Speak!”
Seeing that Lord Dai had no intention of stopping Feng Wu, the warden had no choice but to say, “Miss Dongfang said Chen Ziyun slandered His Royal Highness.”
Slander?
Feng Wu smiled. “How did he do that?”
The warden cringed a little. “Chen Ziyun said Miss Feng Wu would be the crown prince’s future wife…”
Everybody fell silent, and all eyes were on Feng Wu.
It was a rather tricky accusation.
One could argue either way, and it all depended on how serious it was.
Lord Dai stared at Feng Wu. “Miss Feng Wu, are you the crown prince’s future wife?”
If the answer was yes, then Chen Ziyun hadn’t slandered the crown prince.
If the answer was no, Chen Ziyun hadn’t really been wronged.
Lord Mo rubbed his nose. That was a tricky question. How was the girl supposed to answer it?
“I don’t know if Miss Feng Wu is the crown prince’s future wife, but…”
Lord Mo stepped in. “Lord Dai, you didn’t go to the Dayless Woods last night, did you?”
Lord Dai was looking for an opportunity to scold Feng Wu, and he frowned when he heard Lord Mo’s question.
“Something big happened last night!” someone said from the doorway.
Elder Helian had arrived.
He glanced at Lord Dai. “I gave the order to your Elder Dongfang, but your school didn’t send any elders!”
Lord Dai didn’t want to talk to Elder Helian, but he didn’t have another choice.
He asked, “What order?”
Elder Helian said, “His Royal Highness was confronting Sakiya and told all the elders to be ready for combat. We were supposed to assemble in the center of the Dayless Woods. Didn’t Elder Dongfang tell you?”
Lord Dai’s stomach lurched.
The crown prince had summoned them, but Elder Dongfang withheld that information.
That was a serious matter.
He looked at Lord Mo.
