Chapter 1890 - 1890 Cut Off

1890 Cut Off

“I understand, Kotter.”

Kotter waved his hand, waiting for nearly 100 honorary knights of the Holy Court riding on their sacred warhorses to gather through the teleportation passage before departing from the city fortress in a grand procession.

They were going to turn the Enkama Empire upside down!

“Let’s move!”

Following the map, Captain Urbe led the team swiftly into the canyon, ready to traverse it and officially enter the heart of the Enkama Empire.

Suddenly, Captain Urbe squinted as he noticed a figure emerging from the central part of the passage ahead.

Who could it be?

Approaching cautiously, Urbe felt an ominous premonition upon seeing the young man blocking the canyon path. The person wore an eerie, peculiar ghost mask.

“Who’s there!”

“Step aside!”

Getting no response, Urbe shouted. He raised his knight commander’s spear, urging his warhorse to charge directly at the person!

Huh?

The person showed no sign of evasion!

Urbe’s pupils contracted.

In the split second before his spear thrust forward, the person swiftly wielded a metal iron rod to counter.

“Bang!”

The clash between the spear and the metal iron rod produced a resounding impact.

Urbe’s right arm instantly went numb and sore.

The warhorse maneuvered past Fang Heng, sent flying by the impact.

Glancing back at the masked individual now standing up, Urbe’s eyes held a hint of astonishment.

He had barely surpassed the enemy in strength with the charge from his warhorse.

What kind of terrifying strength was this?

Fang Heng was hurled by Urbe’s warhorse charge, managing to stabilize himself only after crashing into the rock wall behind.

[Hint: You received 4423 impact damage.]

[Hint: Player’s passive talent effect ‘Life Diversion’ has taken effect. The player’s damage has been absorbed by the zombie clone.]

The new skill proved incredibly effective!

With his zombie clone around, he was completely immune to damage.

Urbe watched in shock as the masked man quickly stood up as if nothing had happened, even patting his pants.

What was going on?

Who was this person?

Urbe sensed something amiss and steered his warhorse to confront Fang Heng. His spear aimed directly at Fang Heng’s face from a distance. “Who are you? Why are you blocking our path?”

Fang Heng remained silent, merely extending his hand.

“Whoosh!”

A dark Book of the Dead levitated before Fang Heng.

Simultaneously, Fang Heng stretched out his hands, creating an imprint in front of him.

Not good!

“It’s a person who studied necromancy!”

Urbe’s expression changed abruptly as he sensed the sudden outpouring of undead aura from Fang Heng.

Was he alone?

“Rally!” Fang Heng murmured.

The Book of the Dead sprang into action!

“Bang! Bang!”

Successive walls of bones emerged from the ground before Fang Heng, obstructing Urbe and the Holy Court’s honorary knights behind him.

Walls of bones?

What was Fang Heng planning?

Urbe furrowed his brow. Before deciding whether to lead his team in charge, the surroundings echoed with the mournful cries of zombies.

“Moan… Moan…”

The previously hidden zombie clones in the canyon now revealed themselves, swarming towards the Holy Court’s knights blocked by the Wall of Bones.

“They’re undead! Purge them!”

Urbe’s unease lessened slightly upon seeing the oncoming zombie creatures. He drew his long sword from his waist, signaling the team to prepare for combat.

After all that fear, it turned out these were just the lowest-level undead creatures, mere zombies.

And they thought these creatures could stop them?!

Haha!

Upon receiving the command, the Holy Court’s honorary knights charged headlong into the horde of zombies, commencing the slaughter!

“Charge!”

The honorary knights of the Holy Court shouted as one.

After a round of charging, the foremost zombies were pierced through the head by the knight commander’s spears.

Once the Honorary Knights had dispersed the zombie horde, they drew their swords, engaging in melee combat.

It was only then that the honorary knights realized something was amiss.

They hadn’t expected these zombie teams to be so challenging to deal with!

“Chi!”

He struck out with his sword!

The knight commander’s sword, infused with holy power, surprisingly couldn’t sever the zombie! The long blade was wedged into the creature’s body.

The Holy Court’s honorary knights, veterans of numerous battles, were usually found dealing with low-level undead creatures like zombies as easy as slicing through vegetables with their sharp blades. They never anticipated encountering such a situation.

Their strategy involved utilizing the cavalry’s charge to break the enemy formation and then using their long blades for attacks.

However, the second step encountered a massive problem!

As soon as they clashed, the team plunged into chaos.

Urbe grasped the difficulty of dealing with these zombie creatures. Frowning, he shouted, attempting to stabilize the team. “Stay calm! These zombies have exceptionally strong defenses. Proceed with caution! Slow down!”

Taking advantage of the chaos, Fang Heng stealthily maneuvered into the dense crowd of zombies, carefully observing from behind.

The Holy Court’s knights were formidable, capable of even decimating the first line of zombie clones with their warhorse’s long-range charges.

Despite their combat skills being enhanced with Holy Power, enabling them to deal additional magic damage, they struggled to cope.

The zombie clones’ numbers soon became a distinct advantage.

Apart from the Charge Skill, the combat techniques they employed could infuse holy power into their long swords, adding some spell damage to their attacks. It was insufficient!

The zombie clones boasted the formidable Undead healing effect and benefitted from Fang Heng’s Vampire Bloodline, rendering their HP incredibly resilient!

Unless they were instantly killed by a long-range charge with the highest damage or surrounded by several honorary knights simultaneously, the undead couldn’t be killed!

As more and more zombie clones gathered around, the honorary knights of the Holy Court found themselves surrounded, the space for maneuvering gradually diminishing.

Escape was impossible!

Unconsciously, the Holy Court’s knights started gathering in the center.

Urbe tirelessly swung his weapon, trying to break free from the zombie team. Unable to Charge, he resorted to his battle skill, Pierce, to dispatch a single zombie.

Why was it so hard?

The honorary knights of the Holy Court also realized it.

These undead were impossible to kill!

Their stamina and mental power had been being drained continuously while facing the relentless assault of the zombies!

After a relentless struggle lasting five minutes, an honorary knight of the Holy Court was pulled down from his horse by the unending assaults of the undead due to his waning stamina.

Urbe’s expression darkened at the sight.

The situation was worsening.

Casualties emerged within the knight team, and the entire canyon was swarmed with an endless crowd of zombies. There was no sight of an end, with more and more gathering, utterly extinguishing any hope of escape.

Their entire cavalry unit seemed to have been dragged deeper and deeper into an inescapable quagmire!
