The paragon force granted by the lord was also suppressed. The immortal child screamed as this power forcefully left his body, leaving him battered and bloodied.
The crow then flew into Paragon, bypassing all the dimensions and barriers. It stopped before the lord of Paragon, no longer attacking.
“Looks familiar?” Li Qiye smiled.
“Bah, stand aside.” The lord spat on the ground.
“Isn’t it time to go?” Li Qiye asked.
“Why should I? I created this realm and am invincible in it.” The lord said.
“It’s just a dream, the power comes from Heavenly Sin’s spring, not you.” Li Qiye said.
“And? As long as I am rooted here, I can grant anyone eternal power.” The lord said.
“Haven’t you dreamt long enough?” Li Qiye said: “Unfortunately, you were not unbeatable and won’t be in the future either.”
“Bullshit!” The lord’s expression became ugly: “Who says I can’t become unbeatable?”
“If you could, you wouldn’t be dreaming right now.” Li Qiye said.
“Bastard, if it weren’t for you stealing my primordial...” The lord cursed.
“Hold it.” Li Qiye interrupted him: “It wasn’t your primordial or creation, I found it myself.”
“You would not be here with all these attainments without me. All of them should be mine.” The lord said seriously.
“There is truth to this.” Li Qiye stroked his chin.
“So return it to me!” The lord shouted.
“Will you leave if I return it?” Li Qiye asked.
“Really?” This stunned him.
Alch-deer and the others were confused since they didn’t know the relationship between the two parties. This lord seemed to be a native of the dream. How did he know Li Qiye?
“Come get it.” Li Qiye smiled.
“Wait, I’m not falling for your trick.” The lord said: “I am unbeatable as long as I am here, you just want me to leave the dream.”
“Don’t be so sure and force my hands.” Li Qiye said.
“Come then, I’ll just go down with you.” The lord said confidently.
“Looks like you are addicted to this paragon thing.” Li Qiye frowned.
“Because I am a paragon, unbeatable in the past, the present, and the future.” The lord proclaimed.
“Your current thoughts only serve to satisfy your past ego. Do you want to be the current you or the past you, or maybe just content to stay here in this fantasy forever?” Li Qiye asked.
The lord paused for a moment before answering: “There is no past me, only me, unbeatable through the ages.”
“Delusion taken too far.” Li Qiye shook his head.
He understood that after the splitting of the three souls, they became independent and pursued different things.
Moreover, they were affected by the three springs - Splendor, Paragon, and Paramount. Splendor focused on wealth, Paragon focused on power, and Paramount on everlasting life.
“Delusion? It is reality where I stand.” The lord uttered coldly.
He was not wrong either since this dream would go on until someone was strong enough to break it or remove it from the spring.
“Don’t you want to be yourself again? In the end, a dream is just a dream.” Li Qiye said.
“I love dreaming, okay?” The lord refused.
“Fine, looks like soft tactics won’t work, I’ll have to be more forceful.” Li Qiye rubbed his hands.
“Come, let’s see who gets the last laugh.” The lord was not afraid of Li Qiye.
