Chapter 1972 - Moving through the Myriad Winds like an Agile Dragon
Moving through the Myriad Winds like an Agile Dragon
Yu Huafan could no longer remain calm. Although Jiang Chen had only been brought into the Dragon Hall recently, he was well aware that Jiang Chen was one of Feng Jingyang’s favourite disciples, otherwise, Feng Jingyang wouldn’t have let Jiang Chen come along with him.
If Jiang Chen died here, he certainly wouldn’t be able to provide a decent explanation for Feng Jingyang, and he would feel tremendously sad for the loss as well.
However, the situation was no longer under his control. He didn’t even have the chance to speak. Heavenly Peng Demon Sovereign was serious about his decision. The fact that Jiang Chen and Xiao Wangqing were heading into the terrifying gales was already unchangeable.
“What should I do? Junior Brother Jiang is being too reckless.” Yu Huafan spoke worriedly.
“There’s no need to worry. Jiang Chen never do things that he has no confidence in. In other words, he will be able to pass through those winds,” said Big Yellow with incomparable confidence, his face full of calmness.
“Alright, but I have no idea where you have gotten that confidence from.”
Yu Huafan sighed. He knew that not even a Third Grade Great Sovereign could go through those winds. Although he had been tremendously impressed by Jiang Chen’s capabilities, Jiang Chen was merely an intermediate Immortal Venerable, and the outcome of intruding onto the platform was imaginable.
However, Big Yellow’s confidence had relieved some of his concerns.
Currently, Jiang Chen and Xiao Wangqing were already standing at the edge of the grand formation. Xiao Wangqing’s facial expression had changed entirely as he stared at the sea of winds, knowing that his body would be sliced to a million pieces if he rushed into it straightaway.
“Jiang Chen, step down now. I, Xiao Wangqing, am willing to die in this trial. You still have a bright future. You don’t have to risk your life with me,” Xiao Wangqing said.
He really couldn’t bear seeing Jiang Chen follow him into the Myriad Wind Formation. This was too unfair to Jiang Chen. In order to realise his wish, he would rather sacrifice his life. Jiang Chen, on the other hand, was a heaven-defying and promising figure. If Jiang Chen died today, he wouldn’t be able to rest in peace.
“Senior Xiao, when did you learn how to nag like a grandmother?”
Jiang Chen smiled, and then grabbed Xiao Wangqing’s arm, heading straight into the grand formation with a swoosh of his body.
*Hu…* *Hu…*
All of a sudden, countless terrifying winds in the form of dragons came from all directions. Each wave of wind was as destructive as a giant blade, intending to cut the two intruders in half.
“Senior Xiao, I’ll enshroud you with my qi. Based on my observation, this grand formation is at least a few dozen miles. The deeper we go, the terrifying it will become. You just follow by my side. The energy radiating from my body will guide you. Remember not to move at your own will, otherwise death is just a step away,” warned Jiang Chen in a serious tone.
“Okay.”
Xiao Wangqing nodded, and allowed Jiang Chen’s energy and qi to surround his body. After entering the Myriad Wind Formation, he realised how terrifying these gales were. Given his strength, he wouldn’t be able to get past a tenth of the distance.
He also realized that it was no longer meaningful to ask Jiang Chen to back away now. Knowing that Jiang Chen was proficient in the Great Void Technique, it would be a mistake not to follow Jiang Chen’s order.
Furthermore, there was already no turning back for the two of them. Although Xiao Wangqing had no idea whether they could get past the Myriad Winds and meet the saintess, he believed that he couldn’t die here. What he needed to do now was to stay calm and do as Jiang Chen said.
Jiang Chen was a creator of miracles, which meant that they might really have a chance.
Countless eyes were now focused on the grand formation. Heavenly Peng, in particular, was focusing on Jiang Chen unblinkingly, as if he didn’t want to miss a move of Jiang Chen.
Everyone was eager to find out how long those two can last.
“Once the Myriad Wind Grand Formation is provoked, it will attack like countless beasts. How far do you think they can reach?”
“Jiang Chen is just an intermediate Immortal Venerable. While Xiao Wangqing is just a newly-advanced First Grade Great Sovereign. In my opinion, I’m afraid that they can’t even reach the tenth of the formation.”
“I have the same thought. It’s already considered not bad if they can travel roughly a tenth of the distance of the grand formation. It’s virtually impossible for them to get past the entire formation, unless a miracle happens.”
……………..
Comments and remarks filled the air. To them, this show was so much better than the previous singing and dancing. It was a real eye-opener to them.
In the grand formation, Jiang Chen’s sparkling eyes gazed into the depths of the myriad of gales while circulating the Great Soul Derivation Technique and Great Divination Art. Of course, the Great Void Technique was the ability he needed to get past these winds.
Through the Great Divination Art, he was able to calculate the trajectories of these winds, which would allow him to get pass every wave of wind with ease.
After a moment of observation, a faint smile could be seen on his face as he had already discovered all the tracks and arrangements of the wind waves. Next, he only needed the Great Void Technique to get past them.
To an outsider, getting past the formation was as difficult as climbing the sky, but this was nothing to Jiang Chen who possessed the Great Void Technique and Great Divination Art.
He knew that this was a test from Heavenly Peng. He also knew that Heavenly Peng was extremely familiar with the Great Void Technique. The fact that Heavenly Peng asked him to get past the grand formation indicated that as long as he had mastered the Great Void Technique, he would be able to get through the winds with ease.
“Senior Xiao, let’s go.”
Jiang Chen moved, seals forming below his feet. Moving like an agile dragon, bringing Xiao Wangqing along, he travelled three miles in a blink. Neither of those gales of wind touched the two of them.
