Voom! The Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon shot out another fireball from its mouth.

This was an elemental attack, after all. It could only shoot once every three seconds or so. It was impossible for the twin-headed dragon to strike the nimble Scarlet Flame Drake accurately with such a delayed attack.

This time, the fireball struck a rock, directly burning the algae on it to ash. The rock on the surface cracked from the heat, and the shattered rocks sputtered. A few pieces of it struck Zhang Che, but its force was easily negated by the Maneater Leech King soft armor.

The Swamp Crocodile King armor was a hard armor, and would impede his movements at this time. Zhang Che wouldn’t wear it under such circumstances. If he got careless and fell off the Scarlet Flame Drake, he would really be unable to do anything but let the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon do whatever it wanted to him.

The Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon was furious after failing to hurt Zhang Che with two fireballs. However, it was very wary of the Scarlet Flame Drake’s Liquifying Scarlet Flames attack, and didn’t dare to swoop down at them. The black head on the right suddenly widened its jaws, breathing out a mass of poisonous mist, aiming directly in front of the Scarlet Flame Drake.

Okay, it turned out that this fellow actually knew to calculate and lead a target…

Even so, how could the Scarlet Flame Drake possibly dive into the spreading poison mist ahead? It turned and ran off in another direction.

Zhang Che was astonished as he watched the plants shrouded in the poison mist rapidly withering away.

This was simply a biological weapon; one slight contact with it and you’re done for! He had to be careful going forward. It would be really bad if he was struck even once…

He couldn’t summon the Purple Jade Condor, who had the poison resistance halo attribute, either. It would be like sending it to its death. Zhang Che had no choice but to let the Scarlet Flame Drake try its best to maneuver around, avoiding the poison mist.

-We just need to hold on for two more minutes!- Zhang Che calculated inwardly. He ordered the Scarlet Flame Drake, “Shoot another mouthful of flames at it; it’s fine even if you miss, just don’t let it act as it wishes.”

During the interval between poison mist attacks, the Scarlet Flame Drake raised its head, facing the sky, and breathed out another column of flames.

Although the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon knew for sure that the flames wouldn’t burn it, it didn’t dare to be careless. It beat its wings and raised its altitude by a few dozen meters again. With that, it was even more unlikely to be a deadly threat to Zhang Che.

This made it extremely furious. It wasn’t easy for it to find fresh prey, and it thought it would try it for a change. In the end, it turned out this freaking little guy was filled with thorns!

Taking advantage of the opportunity when the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon flew up high, the Scarlet Flame Drake finally reached the rugged, rocky area in the valley.

“Hmm, this fellow is really strange. I didn’t kidnap its children or anything; why is it hounding me like this? It must be sick in the head!”

In the next moment, Zhang Che’s complexion changed greatly.

The Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon, swooping down from the sky, widened both its mouths at the same time. A tongue of scarlet flames shot out from the crimson head on the left, while a mass of black poison mist shot out from the black head on the right.

The red flames and black mist fused into one, and immediately formed a black column of fire, shooting directly towards Zhang Che’s position.

-Is there a need to use your skills!?- Zhang Che nearly cursed out loud. It was probably too late to try and dodge now. He could only order the Scarlet Flame Drake to open its mouth and use all its remaining vital energy and breathe out a scarlet column of flames, aiming at the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon’s Venomous Black Flames.

The two different-colored flames clashed. They actually cancelled out one other mysteriously, leaving Zhang Che’s scalp feeling numb watching them.

Two seconds later, both sides stopped breathing fire.

The Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon’s skill lasted for only two seconds. Although the Scarlet Flame Drake’s Liquifying Scarlet Flames could last for three seconds, it had used up a third or so of its vital energy earlier when it breathed flames on the two previous occasions. Therefore, it also stopped after two seconds.

Although the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon’s Venomous Black Flames contained deadly poison, it was burned away by the Scarlet Flame Drake’s Liquifying Scarlet Flames. It was simply for naught; shooting the poison mist at them as harassment worked better.

Zhang Che breathed out a long sigh of relief. He continued looking at the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon in the sky nervously, praying in his heart, -You better not run…-

Alas, it was like the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon overheard Zhang Che’s prayers. Seeing as it was unable to do a thing to Zhang Che despite using all its means and methods, the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon decided to beat its wings and rose higher in the sky.

-Is it really running away?- Zhang Che was depressed! -Do I have to let it go just like that, after being chased like a dog?-

Alas, the Purple Jade Condor was no match for the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon. Although the Cold Abyss Flood Dragon’s attributes was a counter to it, its level and quality was a little too low, and would only be cannon fodder.

-What should I do?- Zhang Che truly couldn’t swallow it down like that without getting back at it.

Luckily, after ascending to a few hundred meters in the sky, the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon seemed to be really intent on duking it out with Zhang Che. It actually started circling in the sky, roaring at him from time to time, as if it was saying, “Brat, I’m definitely eating you today. Just you wait!”

Zhang Che was assured. He let out a faint, strange smile on his face, and stuck out his middle finger at the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon, not caring whether it understood the meaning of it.

Although the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon’s intelligence wasn’t high, it seemed to know Zhang Che was taunting it. It immediately spat out another fireball and poison mist at him.

Zhang Che naturally didn’t care about it, since they were so far apart. All it took was the Scarlet Flame Drake making a jump, and hiding behind a large rock. The Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon’s attacks missed entirely.

The two entered a standstill, forming a delicate situation.

-Less than a minute left!- Zhang Che continued counting down silently in his heart.

The Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon realized such harassing attacks wouldn’t be able to threaten Zhang Che at all. It decided to keep circling in the sky, keeping an eye on him to ensure he wouldn’t run away.

It had already made up its mind. When its skill could be used again, it would definitely swoop down again, leaving its prey below unable to dodge or defend.

-Less than half a minute left!-

-Ten, nine, eight… three, two, one, do it!- A glint of light flashed in Zhang Che’s eyes as he shouted inwardly.

… nothing happened…

“Damn, I knew it; just counting by myself is really inaccurate…” Zhang Che was depressed. Luckily, he was only acting cool to himself silently. It would be too embarrassing if he had really shouted out loud earlier.

In the next moment, the Purple Crystal Tortoise’s small head suddenly peeked out from the rocks and opened its mouth, aiming at the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon.

An invisible storm of rocks suddenly formed. Rock spears invisible to the naked eye thoroughly shrouded the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon a few hundred meters up in the sky.

In the instant the Purple Crystal Tortoise opened its mouth, the Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon suddenly sensed a great danger approaching. It wanted to spread its wings and fly away, but it was already too late.

Countless rock spears, each as thick as an arm, struck every part of its body at supersonic speed, directly blowing it higher up into the sky.

The Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon was extremely perceptive. During the most crucial moment, it retracted its wings and allowed the countless rock spears to hit its abdomen. Although the rock spears covered it in injuries, it managed to stay in the air.

Big pieces of scales mixed with fresh blood fell from the sky. The Poison Fire Twin-Headed Dragon let out a roar filled with sorrow and anger, its relatively uninjured wings spreading wide once more as it started to fly away.

However, although its wings weren’t heavily injured, the area where its wings connected to its body was, greatly affecting its flying speed. The difference was like heaven and earth compared to its original lightning-fast flying speed.
